Sex after birth

I just wondered how long people waited until they had sex after giving birth. I had a normal vaginal delivery, no stitches and I'm not bleeding or sore anymore.
I've read that some people say wait six weeks, others say when you feel ready.
Contraception wise, we'd use condoms until I get my pill sorted again or a coil fitted

When you're ready! If you had a caesarean or stitches you may be advised to wait so you don't get an infection or risk pulling stitches. But as you had neither I'd say go for it I had lots of stitches and had to have a remedial operation so didn't have sex until 4 months pp, but I think I am quite unusual

Still haven't done it properly. Almost 8 months pp. We're getting there, slowly

1st time 2 weeks, second time 5 weeks. Both normal deliveries without complications
