Not sure if this is the right place to post but wondering when people first used a tampon post birth?

Finished my post birth bleed on Monday and started my first period on Wednesday. It's really heavy and I don't like sanitary towels. Not sure when your 'allowed' to use tampona again as its not advised for post birth bleed.

DD is 6 weeks

Straight away, first period. My periods are so heavy that I had no choice. If was absolutely fine. Just make sure that it's definitely your period and not just continued post natal bleeding. If you only had one day in between, how do you know? Often the postnatal bleeding stops and starts, often depending on your physical excercise.

This feels different to the postnatal bleed. Mild (very mild) cramps and heavier than the PN bleed had been for weeks so I am assuming it's my period.
The PN bleed had pretty much tried to stop for about 4 days before I had nothing
