Have 9 weeks old and suffering from severe backache

I have severe bachache after birth of my 9 week old baby. It is hard to do anything for me let alone stand for a while in the kitchen. The most heartbreaking moment is when I can't carry my baby or even pick her up. It's getting worse everyday.

FYI I had a big bump during pregnancy and my baby is big so I am assuming this might have lead me to long term backache.

Things I have tried:
1.Bought a waist belt online and using it for 9 weeks but its not actually healing anything.

2.GP consultation and asked to refer to Physiotherapist but he refuses saying some exercises will do. But I read you shouldn't be doing some until the abdominal separation has healed.

3.So I bought this birth2fitmum online program but feeling hard to follow.

I don't know what left to do but I am being tearful everyday with stress from my backache.

Any advice please.

I think you should see another gp and get a second opinion.p

You really need a second opinion! That's really shoddy of your gp. I too had bad back ache - it got so bad that my back was going into spasms and I couldn't even comfort my crying baby. GP referred me to physio who has given me some gentle exercises to do which have really helped. He also checked me over which was reassuring. It's so vital you get help now rather than later. Definitely seek that second opinion. And good luck - I know how horrible it is.
