Not sure wher me to post but what does giving up a baby involve and where do I go. Both me and lo are safe before anyone freaks out

I couldn't read and not reply. How old is your lo? Do you want to talk about your situation at all?

Lonelylass1218 · 19/05/2015 00:15

Lo is 7 months old and I just can't do it anymore.

Hi Lonely,

Take a breath and try to relax, what exactly is going on? I struggled with my first born terribly as he was an incredibly sicky baby and always in and out of docs and it was just emotionally and physically draining and many a time I felt that I just couldn't carry on.

Would you like to talk about it?

Spamminit · 19/05/2015 00:19

And to directly answer your question, there is lots of support and information for you. Your health visitor will be a good person to talk to and a social worker will need to be involved.

Would you like to talk about how you're feeling at all? Would it help?

(Just so that you know, you would contact your local social services to discuss anything like that. They would very much want to try and help you though, which might be something helpful?)

Are you on your own op? Do you have any real life support?

Has something in particular made today feel like it was the final straw?

Try and wait it out. Try and talk to your health visitor, she's there for 'mummy' rather than midwives for 'baby'. She'll hopefully help you out, they've dealt with mums with feelings like this. You may feel like this is what you want but you do need to wait it out. What has made you think about this?
