Itchy boobs when breastfeeding anyone else??

My boob gets really itchy when I'm breastfeeding my 1wk old baby. They don't however itch when I'm expressing. It's driving me crazy!! Anyone else had this?? Any ideas what it could be??

Not boobs but i often get crazy itch in my armpit when bf. No idea why.

Congratulations on your new baby! I had this, but what started as itching turned into a full-on rash after day 6/7. Apparently it was a reaction to the oxytocin that I was producing and I had to take antihistamine to calm it down. I went to Neal's Yard and got some homeopathic stuff which worked instantly.

Any other symptoms? For me it was a sign of breastfeeding thrush.
