I had one with my first after breast feeding and since then have been too afraid to try with any of my others kids. After mastitis (sp?) was diagnosed and antibiotics were given they didn't work which led to having it drained twice which was also unsuccessful so in the end I had to have surgery, it was drained and they left a small opening that then had to be 'packed' everyday to heal from the inside out, which is excruciating, and obviously very time consuming as had to go to the doctors every day til it healed. Now my boob is a size smaller than it was, anyone else had a breast abcess? X

I had with my first,it was excruciating.I went on to breastfeed my second with no problems.I am really hoping to breastfeed this LO too when they come along but my situation was different, with me the draining worked and I thankfully did not need surgery,it sounds horrendous and I remember being terrified I would need it.I still have a sort of a 'dip' in the breast where the abscess was.
Really feel for you pet! Flowers
