I've been thinking about dizz all day too. Really does put life's little irks into perspective

MrsMiamla · 05/05/2010 22:06

as for favourite post.. don't know where to start!

I just hope between us we can all be as good a support for dizz and she has been for us.

TwilightSurfer · 05/05/2010 22:52

Would someone please tell me when my child learned Mandarin? She has had lengthy discussions with me this whole day and I've not the slightest idea what she's said.

I have an idea what Dizzy's going through. I was 10 weeks along when I mc'd. I was able be at home throughout though. Scares me that she's lost so much blood. There's a huge mix of emotions. Your heart and your head fight it out. For me, I came to terms rather quickly (which I don't believe is very common) and two weeks later conceived Reese. I felt really in tune with nature for many weeks. If I could wish anything to Dizzy it would be that calm connection with nature.

Lost for words now but with think on a Dizzism.

Morning..

Been thinking of our lovely dizzy all night.. hope she slept ok and is on the road to recovery xx

MrsMiamla · 06/05/2010 08:13

Thank you for sharing that TS, I wanted to ask but didn't know how to

hotterpotter · 06/05/2010 08:30

I think there is sadly a lot of it about, you just don't realise until it happens to you

I had a missed miscarriage in September 2007 - went for the 12 week scan to be told there was no heartbeat and my baby had died The pain goes right down into your bones, it's your future which is gone. All those daydream moments snuffed out with one wave of an ultrasound wand.

So Dizz we do know at least some part of what you are feeling darling and we are all here for you Hope you are feeling a bit brighter today.

Like TS my story also had a happy ending (albeit not so quick!)

Feeling a bit sleepy today as DD was up at 4.30am crying cos there was "some wee in my bed" this does only happen occasionally when she is a bit poorly and drugged with calpol so had to change sheet and tuck her back in. Couldn't get back to sleep for ages, finally dropped off around 5.50am, shame alarm was set for 6 [grr]
Let's see how many cross-posts...

hotterpotter · 06/05/2010 08:34

None

I hope it is because you are all off doing your civic duty (I would be very if you're all still asleep)

MrsMiamla · 06/05/2010 08:43

sleep? sorry can you define what that word means please!

hotterpotter · 06/05/2010 08:50

You should try your election night game again miamla I'd be in if I didn't have work tomorrow. I mean, obviously a spliff is some kind of fish, yes? I'll have my smoked spliff with scrambled eggs please

ataraxis · 06/05/2010 08:54

Oh dizzy, so sad for you . Sending you much love and thoughts. xxx

MrsMiamla · 06/05/2010 08:59

damn you hots... i want scrambled eggs for breakfast now and we haven't got any! But yes, your definition of 'spliff' is indeed correct!

oopsandbabycoconut · 06/05/2010 09:34

Morning

Dizzy - hope you had an okay night last night. {{HUGS}}

Hot - yes I was still sleeping when you first posted DD slept until 6.45, no wake ups in the night I was suspicious! Dh came in at 7 an took her down stairs and left me to it. The woke me at 9 just as DH was going out the door to work Now I am just plain scared of the pair ofthem!!

We have lots of fresh eggs from a friends chickens - so we might have to bake today.

The woman who runsthe CHiildrens Cafe rang last night and asked me to run it today as she has a LO with a cold and is staying home. Apparently a few cakes, a dozen fairycakes, flapjacks and a hot lunch option for 40 people shouldn't be too much trouble with a few weeks to go I told her I'd give it a skip this time.

oopsandbabycoconut · 06/05/2010 09:42

Have very cheekily taught DD to say 'Votes for women'!

QueenofDreams · 06/05/2010 09:43

Morning ladies
Feeling crap. DP been a pig. Nuff said. Off to be sick (again)

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/05/2010 11:17

Morning all. Not heard anything this morning, so i hope all is ok and dizz is just busy getting ready to go home

oops maybe the Childrens Cafe woman saw your FB post . LOL @ 'votes for women'

Sorry DP being crap QoD, is he still in shock of pg, crap around sick people or just being an arse?

Big hugs to LOTI this morning . Hope you are feeling slightly better today? I know what you mean about not rocking the boat before hols, and please use the time if your CM is away with you to get some much needed rest and soak up some rays. Maybe, even plot a course of action for when you return to the UK?

Stayed home this morning (first Thurs with DD's not at CM and have no real routine yet). DD1 and i have threaded necklaces, fed the birds, bulk made pesto (well salsa verde actually but DD1 thinks it is pesto) and frozen it and sorted lots of docs for the insurance peeps. DD1 off to preschool this avo and DD2 and i are going shoe shopping for her. Hopefully the rain will stop as i don;t have a rain cover for the Maclaren and it is the only buggy i have which fits into MIL's teeny tiny boot

QueenofDreams · 06/05/2010 11:17

Sorry for killing the thread

dizzydixies · 06/05/2010 11:26

Hi all, thank you for kind messages. Just been allowed away now on strict instructions to rest & take my iron tablets.

Your lovely support has meant so much to us both x

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/05/2010 11:30

{{{hugs}}}}

You might want to try Spatone liquid rather than iron tablets which IMVHO are devil tablets. Think you can get it in Tesco. HTH

hotterpotter · 06/05/2010 11:34

cyteen · 06/05/2010 12:43

Hi all

Having a work/university brain mash-up nightmare today but will be around later this evening so hope to catch up then.

Welcome home dizzy, very welcome home x

QueenofDreams · 06/05/2010 13:01

dizzy welcome home. Take care of yourself. Thinking of you.

oopsandbabycoconut · 06/05/2010 13:10

Welcome Home Dizzy {{hugs}} please dolisten and take it easy. love to you all xx

DD repeated her 'boats for women' to the ladies at the polling station it caused great amusement We are going back to vote later as every old lady and her dead aunty was out to vote and they were taking their time doing it. The polling station people reckoned a 45min wait. See what happens when you organise an election on market day!
