We took girls last summer they loved it..
Can't find them at that price? HELP

GoldenSnitch · 06/05/2010 21:55

I can't find them either anymore

Maybe they've sold out!

I went to buy tickets an one of the options was £1 anniversary tickets.

It's still advertising them if you look at the offers page though

Kingsroadie · 06/05/2010 21:59

Haha - guys - has anyone seen this thread yet? Bloody hilarious! haha.

kings - sorry you're feeling down. Can't believe how much you've had to deal with recently.

ds2 usually goes to sleep in his bouncy chair between 2100-2130 & then I put him in his cot. Tonight at 2145 he was sitting in his chair grinning at me & chatting away. I put him in his cot wide awake & haven't heard a sound from him. Actually I've heard lots of sounds through the monitor but none of them were crying. All has been quiet for a while now though & he's been up there for over an hour. Think I might start putting him in his cot awake at night from now on. I do it during the day & he goes off fine these days but I worry about him waking ds1 up if he starts crying at night. Off to give him his dreamfeed then go to bed myself. I can't seem to get to sleep recently so am always exhausted then I get to bed & can't sleep. Driving me crazy.

Kings - that is brilliant I have just read the whole thing, then re-read most of them to dh!!!

Claire - good luck with the sleep. I've had that in the past and it is really frustrating.

honeydragon · 06/05/2010 23:12

GoldenSnitch · 07/05/2010 07:15

Of course you can honeydragon

GoldenSnitch · 07/05/2010 08:08

Favourite post from that thread so far....

"DS1 was 2. DS2 was a baby. we were also renovating our house (tries hard to re-create the stress we were under wink)

Nursery teacher - 'how was your weekend?'

DS1 - 'we went to the orange hardware store (that's B and Q), and mummy said daddy was a fucking arse'

Nursery teacher - 'ooh, that's nice!'"

Maybe its because we are decorating and I can relate

hendo77 · 07/05/2010 09:34

Hi Honeydragon!

GS - that was also our favourite one as we have decorators in at the moment. From past experience there is no way we could even be that civil to each other if we were doing it ourselves... that and the dreadlock one I think. Dh and I have agreed to make a real effort to watch our language from now on!!!!

GoldenSnitch · 07/05/2010 10:17

Just come back after reading a BNP thread from last night (fab comments ABF, you had me giggling ) and read this again.

Made me laugh again.

DH is going to be when we're walking round B&Q getting arsey with each other and I crack up laughing

my ds birthday next week I am preparing the cake (just ordered from costco).

GoldenSnitch · 07/05/2010 14:34

Just laughing at Catherine wrestling on the floor with her dolly I laid her down on the floor and she's rolling around trying to get as much of the doll as possible in her mouth

Dolly is definitely her favourite toy. She smiles whenever she sees her. I'm amazed at how different Catherine is to Alex. I don't think I've done anything different (he had teddies and dolls to play with too) but she definitely likes different things to him. He liked cars and blocks even at this age, she loves her dolly.

She's a definite little girl

Claire236 · 07/05/2010 15:30

That thread was hilarious. ds1 has caught me & dh out more than once by repeating things we don't even realize we say.

Had a bit of an odd day with ds2 today. He hasn't slept anywhere near as much as usual & has been a bit unsettled. Although having said that he's currently laughing his head off at his big brother. He's been coughing a bit & been a bit sicky the last few days so hope he's not coming down with anything.

hendo77 · 07/05/2010 20:16

Claire hope your ds doesn't come down with anything. Imogen had two days this week of being a bit sick about an hour after nearly every feed but seemed fine other than that. I thought she might be getting ill, but in the end I put it down to her stuffing everything in sight in her mouth and my house not being disinfected ever often.

I felt a bit guilty earlier and Imogen was sitting up so well for ages and ages that I stopped concentrating on her and of course she then went backwards and bumped her head. Cue crumple face, wobbly bottom lip and crying. She did recover very quickly though so I've decided instead just to be pleased I managed to get through 5 months without bumping/dropping her!!!

Hope everyone has lovely weekends.

GoldenSnitch · 07/05/2010 21:04

Catherine had a good nap this morning. Good for her anyway, she managed about an hour. I've stopped putting her in the moses basket and have been putting her upstairs and today I gave up with the crib and put her on my bed. I think maybe the smell of me helped?

I figure I'll get her napping and then work on where she naps.

She didn't sleep for very long at all this afternoon. She really needs to be having more sleep. She's too tiny to live on 10 ish hours a night and one short nap!!

hendo77 · 07/05/2010 21:42

Sounds like a good plan GS. If you think your smell (which I'm sure is lovely!) is helping then maybe put a sheet for her crib under your sheet in your bed for a night or two (or walk around with it shoved down your top when at home!!!) and then once she's getting good at napping see if your smell helps her transition to her crib? I'm sure I read on another thread that someone put a t-shirt of theirs under the sheet of their child's crib and found that helped...

GoldenSnitch · 07/05/2010 22:14

I think maybe she's getting a bit big for the crib too and is hitting her hands on the sides when she moves. Might have to consider moving her to her own room and her cotbed soon!

LaDiDaDi · 08/05/2010 10:12

Can't believe dd is 4 today! She had a lovely birthday tea yesterday, cake was a big success .

GoldenSnitch · 08/05/2010 10:18

Yey We knew it would be. What can be wrong with chocolate and sweeties

Happy Birthday LaDiDaDi's DD.

It was a whole year yesterday since I found out I was pregnant with Catherine! It's gone so fast.

And I won a huge inflatable football pitch yesterday too. Have no idea what we're going to do with it as we have a teeny garden?! It come with pizza every month for a year which is great but is not going to help the diet!

Got very excited and put that I had won on Facebook though and am now worried that I may have outed myself. Wondering about name changing but can't think of a good name...

AmazingBouncingFerret · 08/05/2010 10:53

Do you want to be potter inspired still or not snitch?

Im such a numpty. I gave Elizabeth a rusk to gnaw on she only bloody nearly choked to death didnt she. Luckily DH was working from home so he was able to actually stop her choking whilst I just helpfully shouted "she's choking, she's choking"
She's alright now and im going to not bother with rusks for a little while!

She did have a little bit of baby rice this morning and it was excellent. The past few days she's been really unsettled and not letting me leave the room. But after the rice she was quite happy to sit there and watcvh strawberry shortcake whilst I was able to shower and stuff!

You are supposed to avoid wheat (gluten) until 6 months. I'm sticking to fruit, veg & baby rice until ds2 is 6 months. I'm never sure whether the 6 months guidance is just because current guidelines for weaning generally are 6 months or if there's a specific reason to avoid things like gluten, cows milk etc.

Happy birthday LaDiDaDis dd.

ABF - sounds like how I'd react.

ds2 managed to choke on some puree earlier today. He did it a few days ago too & both times he had parsnip. Once with pea & once with sweet pot. Don't know if its a coincidence or if he's trying to tell me to lay off the parsnip.

To be honest ds is having whatever now....mainly fruit and veg but have done some tiny potato and chick cubes (tiny amounts of chicken) (has one cube of this with 4 veg) and he devours them...... am confused as dd was weaned in hospital 8 years ago and they gave her rusks, chicken, veg and allsorts. Suppose we are all different in that we can all tolerate and enjoy different foods so i suppose babies will be the same. the only thing i cant give ds at moment is petit filous yogurts and heinz choc pudding (dd wanted him to try it as a friday night treat!!!!) as his reflux is worse with them. gave him a yogurt as dd still likes them and she had loads of the at dss age but most of it came back up..... though think bouncing in the jumperoo after tea didnt help!!!!I am just letting him lead the way..... he enjoyed suckng on some cooked carrot sticks earlier and enjoyed cold broccoli in his net thing too (cold broccoli.... yuk!!!)
