Mimi doing well, talking alot better, she startes nursery next month, 15hrs a week. Lacey is nearly 8 months now, crawling everywhere and shrieking

I'm doing well, have lost alot of weight but attend a fortnightly clinic for eating things. Feeling happy for the first time this year.

Urgh, I saw on Fb, I'm in equal parts sorry for you and incredibly jealous of your cool new holiday destination! Weird thing with moving away from family, is that you're taking so much more care to stay in contact (Skype, FB, e-mail etc) that sometimes you get even closer than before. Deary me, how horrid weather we have at the moment?! My inability to be organised didn't help this day either: Firstly, I forgot my umbrella. Which, on it's own, is not all bad. However...

Had a fire alarm at work, so had to stand in rain for 10 mins until they checked all was ok to go back in.

Then, at lunch, realised I forgot my wallet at home. Found some loose change in handbag, so bought fruit at fruit stall man for £2. Yum, sorted.

Except: When I got to the tube station after work, realised I've lost my travel card!!! With no wallet to buy another (and after trying my luck by explaining to gate woman, who was having none of it!), I had to go through my handbag, searching every corner, to try and get enough change for a single ticket. Nope, not enough. With only £2.70 on me, I had to take a bus home (luckily there was a direct one, as not enough for two tickets). Got soaked waiting for bus as bus shelter full. Then it took me 2 hrs for a 30 minute journey home...

WHAT A DAY! From tomorrow, I'm going to be more organised, just you watch me!

A new comer, yeah, welcome Effjay.

Some of us are just designed to be the eternal mother, I dont think I fit into that group though, i was more than happy to get rid of maternity clothes and nappies.

Feeling like mine are really growing up now, this week DS started in reception and DD2 has started in pre-school. They are knackered tonight and I'm hopeful for a nice early night so I can catch up with some rubbish Tv whilst DH at work.

And today, I started toilet training DD. She's not doing too bad - a 50% hit rate, so far. My DS was a NIGHTMARE to toilet train, so hoping DD will be a bit better.

Ds3 is in his second year in school. Over here Reception = Junior Infants and then they move on to Senior Infants. When I told ds3 he would be in Senior Infants he said "This is my Moment!"
