Mum & Baby Groups near to Wentbridge/Ackworth/Badsworth/Kirk Smeaton?

Hi, I am new on mumsnet and a friend suggested i sign up to find things in my area...

I live in the small village called Wentbridge (nr Pontefract) and with only 2 weeks to go i am getting increasingly worried that i am going to feel very isolated when baby arrives as there is nothing for mums and babies in my village and i cant seem to find anything on the internet for the surrounding areas either!

The ones run by my NCT area are too far out for me to go and i wanted something more local.

Does anyone know of any good ones nearby? Any info or help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm sure they do a parenting group in ackworth (bell lane libary/ school) AND have u heard of milldam school? They do a mother and toddler session on a friday afternoon, so maybe have a look at local nurserys as they often do mother n baby groups but i've never seen these advertised anywhere except at the schools themselves.If u want times etc just let me know.

thanks for the info pinkyp - had a look on the internet at the group in Ackworth and the Mill Dam School one so have contacted them both.
