yup, steaky has arrived safely. Steakette and DS have been perfect companions. DS is teaching steakette some walking moves and Steakette is teaching DS on how to be a perfect guest in someone else's house!
She's currently having a nap whilst steaky's at her interview. I did check first that a late nap was allowed! the poor little thing didn't have a proper nap earlier so she was shattered.

gutters in the front cleaned. front yard mowed. living room and dining room clean. girls happily playing in the front yard covered in sunshine. i think i've accomplished some other things too but my mind is dazed.

family members arrive tomorrow around lunch. i am so excited. these are folks i love love love love love and can't wait for their arrival. since their grown kids are coming too they're staying up the street in a nice hotel but all the eating shall be here. dh is but all will be wonderful. plastic cheese and cracker casserole on the menu for tomorrow beside my cockpot roast. yum yum yum yum

5.15am wake up call from work for DH who had to leave on a call out DD2 up since then, managed to convince her to go back to sleep in my bed after 2hrs of yabbering and kicking when D got up [eyes falling out of head emoticon]

I'm off to Cambridge for my day of babysitting... bit nervous about the two toddler situation but lots of you do it all the time so I expect I'll survive! Hopefully the other tot's mum is popping back to do bedtime so I have the easy bit, really. Wish me luck, though.

Sorry about the bad start to the weekend dizzy
S had a real screaming session at about 1.30 this morning. He was absolutely inconsolable. But then he is cutting his first two molars, so hopefully the blasted things will pop through soon. DP and I eventually managed to get him pinned while I applied teething gel to the swollen puffy gums Within about 5 minutes I had him asleep in his cot again
I think I'm going to pass on ALBS's lovely offer of a ride. I think DP and I need to have a nice weekend together after the hell that this week has been.

lol re krispy kremes... DP bought a dozen yesterday! I think Steak and DP have had one or two for breakfast but I reckon we'll be able to save a couple for tonight!

pert are you around tomorrow? do you want to pop round during the day to see the visiting hairy truckers?

Speaking of which DH and I had a brilliant night involving me painting the kitchen in a frilly mini skirt. T'was very burlesque (apart from the black socks) and DH was doing this very funny attempt at bullying and hectoring me and we just laughed our heads off all night.

Had another good morning at the special needs school, just planning my route then I plan to leave for Miamla's about 4pm. Not sure if DH realises this but his folks are popping over for coffee later and they usually stay forever so nobody'll won't notice me slip out heehee. I'm SO EXCITED!!!

Oh and thank you so much for my Secret Santa which arrived yesterday. Will wear them tonight!
