I delivered my second baby 8 weeks ago and have hemorrhaged 3 times now- the most recent being the weekend before last (5th November).
On the last occasion, the hospital scanned me and found retained products of conception and gave me a D&C. They also swabbed me and found I'd got an infection called Group C Strep (deffo C and not B).
They gave me IV Cefalexin and Metronidazol, but it hasn't cleared the infection and I'm now on Erithromycin.
I'm still bleeding intermittently (ie. not at all yesterday, but some light bleeding today) and am terrified I'm going to hemorrhage again.
Has anyone else had this infection?
After retained products and a D&C, how long did you bleed for? Did you hemorrhage before hand, and if so, did you again once you'd had the procedure?
