I am not looking forward to DS getting to that age Aubergenie. He's very small, very sensitive and a total smart arse. I am worried that he'll be a bit of a target. My brother was bullied but only very mildly, I was never bullied. Someone tried in senior school but I beat him up.

Yes, Pistachio, your dd is tiny she needs chocolate. I figure it's only one month a year it's not really going to hurt. It's not as if they're having a Mars bar every morning. The bit of chocolate is smaller than a Communion wafer!

Ronshar - Oh how horrible! That poor man. I hate it when TV does that.

ronshar · 04/12/2009 22:05

Aubergenie, that is horrible for you and your class. Is it a few children doing the bullying? Little buggers. Do you have good anti b ullying policies to back you up?
Happy bloody Christmas eh

ronshar · 04/12/2009 22:17

50ft what you going on about?? TV man?
I have just watched spooks

Dh & I also could line several sides of A4 with stuff that pisses us off but we put up with it because we really love each other and he knows that if he messes me about he will die.
E.g, he has been away for two days, over our Anniversary, he then got home and dumped his bag and said he was off to play golf with his idiot mate. I didnt even get a chance to say anything.
Well I sent him a text that simply said I am still feeling poorly, thanks for asking. I hope your shitty golf buggy crashes into a sand dune!
He came home about 1/2 hour later and didnt go out to play golf. I have however been nice enough to encourage him down the pub tonight
Its all give and take in life

50ft. It is shit for you at the moment but it will soon be over. Just think it takes nearly a year to grow a little baby so give yourself that much time again to get back to normal.

ronshar · 04/12/2009 22:21

Pistachio, yes I am a peary bird. However since I started Body Pump and going dairy free for W I seem to have lost alot of weight. I dont ever weigh myself and will not have scales in the house, I dont want DDs going weight crazy. But I am able to wear 30inch waist skinny jeans. The only thing skinny on me before was my fingers

50ftChristmasTree · 04/12/2009 22:24

It was a time dependant post Ronshar. It was the bit when the fella saw on the news that his boy had been killed. I watched it too and I had permission because DH thought it was only fair (he's out drinking too).

Honeymoonmummy · 04/12/2009 22:33

Hi, I've only read v quickly, but I'm sorry to hear you're both feeling so down MyJob/ 50ft. You're both gorgeous and although 50ft in particular is going to hate this...[hugs] to both of you. MyJob, I guess you're maybe still having a hormone rollercoaster from giving up the BF, maybe you could consider going on AD's for a short while? I know you won't want to, but it doesn't have to be for long?

I lost 4lbs this week on weightwatchers so it's coming off slowly, my jeans are looser on me and I've not even had time to do any exercise yet. I got the books from ebay rather than paying the WW fees. I'm hoping this week will be a bigger loss week as my period has just started. Altho I did have a chinese last night... But I'd only had 2 weetabix all day so I felt justified!! And I only ate half!

I had my "100th birthday" phone call yesterday, the call from the HV's to ask if I was still BF at 12 months. I got a "well done" [proud]

Today was the first day I gave up the first thing in the morning BF, so Poppy has only fed once today, last thing. She's been really grizzly all day , she's still getting over her cold and she has an eye infection now Is it true about the breast milk in the eyes? I'm gonna have to get the pump out, I'm not exactly a gusher...

Oh and we got Poppy her first proper pair of shoes today, a cruiser pair from Clark's. They look sooo cute!

I think that's it! I'm off to bed.

Hmm - I used breast milk in M's eye when she had conjunctivitis do you remember: M was then ! You should feel proud for still bfing P! M is ill so is a bit toothy lately. Grrr

I think the whole stomach area nightmare has hit me in the last few days. I can't do any exercise as my stomach muscles are terrible so my back hurts if I do too much and I can't do anything to strengthen my stomach muscles because it will aggravate the hernia. I feel like I'm about 100 years old.

ronshar · 04/12/2009 23:12

50ft. I think that you should start walking. Start at 2 miles a day and then by January you could up it to 4 a day. I forgot to say that I think me walking dragging the Dds to school everyday which is a 2 mile round trip for me has really helped shape up my legs.
You only have to walk slowly and the good thing is when you get home you are knackered and need a cup of tea and a chocolate bar to get you through to lunch

Ronshar - Ok, I'll do it. I have been walking about 30 mins a day pushing M around to gether to sleep but I can see no reason why I can't get out and about a bit earlier to take a longer walk.

Myjob - I could say the same to you. As you yourself know, it is easier said than done. I'm glad you found something to wear. I was wondering where you were last night, hope you weren't feeling too down.

M is NOT happy this morning. Her poor throat sounds very sore but bless her she is trying really hard to be herself. We have a delayed prescription for ABs it looks like she has the start of an ear infection. If she's not getting better by Sunday she is going to start on the ABs. I'm betting she'll be better by then. She's hardly eaten a thing in the last few days but seems to have managed to have just done a very stinky poo! Must dash

50ftChristmasTree · 05/12/2009 07:46

Look at this bobbins!

StarExpat · 05/12/2009 08:05

ronshar you don't like pushchairs????

50ft and myjob you're both pretty ladies I'm sorry you're feeling so down I agree (again) that a good amount of exercise does wonders for the soul.

I read a thread in relationships recently (or aibu maybe) didn;t respond but am watching it) and it describes my dh - not fully, but somewhat the gist is there iyswim and all the posters are telling her to leave him! ugh!

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/12/2009 08:29

star - MN always tells everybody to leave their dh's!

You mean, you were doing something in real life Myjob?! Sounds like a terrible night, I hope you get an early night tonight or at least get to sleep in your own bed! M was very restless last night and kept coughing so I hardly slept. She woke up at about 5 and cried and coughed until about 7. Yay! Hope DS is ok for his nativity this afternoon.

Pistachio - I used to do pilates three times a week so I have been trying to remember correct posture etc. I try to engage my stomach muscles whenever I am standing doing something. Have you tried pilates for your stomach muscles? It is VERY good for core muscles and I had a fabulous stomach before I had DS. I had a four pack.

All this talk of excercise is making me want to reach for the mince pies. I really should find time to exercise more. I'm not overweight but definitely flabby and need to tone up more. I'm dreading Monday - we take the children swimming, and I've got a girl in my class who is really afraid of going in the water and cries every week and refuses to go in. The swimming teacher suggested that I go in with her next week. I really don't want to be wandering around in my swimsuit in front of the children. Plus I've got to do something about my body hair. It just feels like one more thing to do at the moment.

I met a friend of mine today who gave us some toys her boys have grown out of. S is on the floor playing with one of those cars that you move back and forward and then it goes by itself. He's playing like a little boy rather than a baby! How did that happen so fast?

StarExpat · 05/12/2009 17:10

The artificial tree has enabled us to fold back low branches to keep ornaments on! And he has one elf that he knows he can always take off and a bell he can ring, otherwise no touch. Q is very good about it! Surprisingly!! He occasionally goes over, touches a "no" ornament with one finger and looks at us, we shake our heads and he goes for the one he's allowed and squeals with delight!

Aubergenie - forget your swimsuit if you don't want to go in and keep the girl with you I don't even see my class in the pool. The swim and PE teachers take them from near my classroom, thank goodness.

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/12/2009 17:26

hello - just a quickie to say been out all day and going out tonight, so no chance to post properly. Ds has had no nap today at all, but isn't hysterical yet, so hopefully will be able to get him down nice and early and get out by about 7.

Hopefully will find more time to get on tomorrow!

Ugh _ i just made the mistake of "popping" to Asda for a few bits and pieces. My rationale was that surely no-one goes shopping on a Saturday evening. How wrong I was! It was heaving - once I'd managed to get there. We're right near the Olympic site and loads of roads are closed becuase of the building work so the traffic round here is horrendous.

Star - Can you come over here and train S for me? I've got visions of our tree being upended on a daily basis.

I did think about "forgetting" my swimsuit but Year 4 is the only chance that they get to go swimming in primary school and I'd hate to think she missed out because I didn't want to show my lardy legs help her.
