I know how DS1 behaves on planes, and he's always been fine up till now. It's the unpredictable nature of the flights with A that I am apprehensive about.

Good morning Gui, how are you today?

Not bad, Feier, not bad. DH is off today as he worked Saturday, which is nice, but he has disappeared off to take the car in for MOT, and is taking ages, so Hugo and I are pottering about. I really need to get back into the weaning thing - he had no 'food' all weekend, and I'm having to psyche myself up back into food/ highchair/ mess mode. H is working on his latest fake cough sound with much gusto. So far today I have eaten a slice of chocolate and cherry cake, and a butternut squash cupcake

What are your plans for the day? I really want to go out and do something, anything, that involves leaving the house, but it is looking menacingly grey outside.

oooh i am a regular nightmarer.... I sometimes think i just cant switch my brain off. I hate the feeling of waking up tired cos i have been dreaming all night.

I really just want to fly away somewhere nice. i get like this at this time of year. I am not very good when the seasons change.

I too sooooooooo want to go out but i have found myself getting a bit overwhelmed by going out on my own lately. It is stupid cos i know i will be fine. But i think i am getting all stressed by how long it takes two babies to get ready to go out now it is getting near winter and they need lots of extra layers. DH is in at 3pm so may go out somewhere then.

I am getting really tizzy about going back to work. Had a bit of emotional day yesterday thinking that the babies are going to be doing new things that i may possibly not see. Silly really as i am only back 2 days a week to start then only 3 days from april. How do you all that have already returned to work cope? I think it is worse cos it is soo dark. So it is gonna feel longer iyswim.

Well I am eating humble pie today I have been given a baby safe mesh feeder by a friend (yes the exact product I have ridiculed before) and it worked a treat, Hazel had a big chunk of banana and loved it. The only thing is, the mesh is a bugger to clean!

Off for a walk now, might find some cake on the way

Boo's really struggling today. She's crying lots and even now when she's in her bed and obviously wants to be sleeping she keeps waking up and whining (with her eyes closed) then settling again dunno what to do with her.

Teeth Bebe? Didn't you use a mesh feeder the other day for banana? How did you get it clean? I have: scrubbed mine with a brush, put it in the dishwasher, rinsed it with boiling water. I can still see that it's banana brown in places. What now?

Hmm. Mine I soaked in boiling water inside out. Then washed it by hand...bit tough but it worked in the end.

So did you get yours completely clean i.e. completely white? Do I assume the brown is still banana bits or just the fabric being stained?

Oh... mine's blue...I've got some white ones, but I've not used them yet. Not sure if they'd get stained. I imagine they would; but not sure if they would with banana...

have only just seen there are post natal groups to join even though ive been on mn for a while lurking and being an occasional poster.

I have (pfb) dd1 called iris born 04/04/09.

The thing that caught my eye was about the nightmares. Have always been a bit of a dreamer and a bit of a worrier in rl, but have been having some awful, vivid nightmares for the past 2 weeks....coinciding with weaning and sleep routine/minor illness/teething. they may be all linked but am interested in getting others points of view.

Interesting what you say abt your dreams (I was the one who posted abt mine) because 'coinciding with weaning and sleep routine/minor illness/teething' has explained our life the last 3 weeks. Could that be the cause? The stresses of all those things?

What do people think about culling the list a bit? Barbarella, Mumblemum, Fatandfedup, Tartetatin and Ilovesummer don't appear to have been on MN at all (after a bit of stalking), unless they've namechanged.
