Hi, Welcome to the new thread, the one where we can't drink a cup of tea in peace (there you go, we could have used that for a title!!)

I was in bodyshop yesterday and M trashed the place. Luckily the sales assistant thought she was sweet as she pulled things off displays and legged it out the shop with jars of body butter (several times)!!, cue me legging it after her with a handful of makeup . Luckily there were no store detectives aroud. She also tried to wear every shoe within her reach at the shoe shop.

not sure if this one's going to stick. Got work tomorrow which am not sure is a good thing or not, think I might try and get an emergency appt with gp first thing and work from home.

DG Take care x

What's up digi? Hope you and the bean are ok. Thinking of you.

Had a bit of cramping yesterday then started spotting brown blood, but this morning passed a few small clots and if I hadn't known any better would have thought I was just having a period, albeit a brown one rather than a red one. Not particularly heavy bleeding, but pretty constant throughout today. The only sliver of hope is that it's all brown blood and I bled in my early pregnancy with DS (not this much though). I know there's nothing I can do if it's a mc but want to get it checked out to make sure.

Sorry for posting this here, didn't even get as far as joining the ante-natal threads...

Not as emotionally unstable as I thought I'd be. I think it's because I've got my wonderful DS to distract me. Still though.

starlight - already have War And Peace, some school chemistry books and a couple out-of-date A to Zs under the head end!

Good luck digi

nc we're having rotten nights too. DD had me up between 2 - 4 on saturday night and didn't settle down until 2:30 this morning despite medicine, karvol, raised cot, cuddles and cc. Each time I went to see her she bounced up and started grabbing cot toys for us to play with . I think its her molars coming through that's buggered up her sleep, 2 of them are half way out, and she has a cold. As a result I'm thoroughly grumpy and tired (moan, moan, moan), hence I'm currently flopped on the bed composing myself for getting us all dressed and teeth brushed . Mind you, DD is fine this morning and happily bashing about with her toys with DS.Why can't babies be born with molars, they cause so much hassle. DS was practically mainlining calpol when his molars came through, ouch .

Right, I'm going to slap on some eye-brightener and blusher so I look human. Pity I can't get botox for my scowly face too!

DG Sorry to hear the rollercoaster, hope you find out one way or the other soon.

T touches wood, crosses fingers, avoids mirrors has been fairly reliably sleeping since he randomly went from non-sleeper-from-hell to sleeping-for-10-hours-a-night. Teething and illness throw him off (and one or the other crops up at least every couple of weeks). He sleeps a lot more since he started being more mobile, which is great. Some days I get a 2 hour break! (all of which I have to spend sitting in front of the pram jiggling, but at least it's a break). Funny how he still can't settle himself in the day...

We are going to start TTC in mid-december, but not expecting any miracles. Have vague plans to try for a couple of months, then if it doesn't happen we will get married first, then start ttc again.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 09/11/2009 12:32

Fingers crossed for you Digi and don't apologise for talking about it on here.

NC - M has a few night time wobblers as well, but it tends to be when he's feeling a bit off colour. No amount of soothing helps, only a breastfeed - and if I bring him into our bed he has a major wobbler, he hates it with a passion. I thought it would be a comfort but apparantly not!

I meant to say meglet, that I am another avid teeth cleaner. DS isn't so keen, but that's tough

Good luck Hopefully, or you could be like me and get married when you are 36 weeks pg!

Oh, and I did laugh at Starlights comments about the parenting books you shouldn't have read propping up the cot!

I have made my Christmas Cake today - hurrah!

DebiTheScot · 09/11/2009 13:44

fingers crossed for you digi nc that sounds like a lot of books does he think his bed is a slide?

We're not getting much waking in the night but he is waking between 5.30 and 6 every morning desperate for milk. Very annoying as he won't drink much at night.

foxytocin · 09/11/2009 14:21

sending good vibes your way, digi.

dd2 was poorly all weekend and spent most of it latched on. this morning at 5 am she was bouncing all over the bed, flirting with dh.

now it is my turn. I feel like death warmed over. taken today off work as I suspect the piggy flu so will see what tomorrow holds? the 'up' side if you can call it that is that I am having a rare child free day.

i took delivery of my brand new second hand car as I wrote off my beloved Golf 3 weeks ago. sniff. I think I am juggling too many balls at once for a long time now and something had to give. pardon the pun. I went through a red light, totally unaware that it was red. could have sworn blind it was green. v familiar round about, should have 'known' it wasn't green as it never seems to be on green, iykwim, and went into the side of another car. dd2 was [crying] in the car at the time. really really pleased she was in a rear facing seat. all i had was a bump on the knee.

starlight sorry to hear you're having to appeal, but it sounds like you were expecting it.

foxy you poor thing, I remember bumping the car in slow moving traffic when ds was only 3 months. Was beside myself with guilt.

Well am now waiting in the hospital reception for Dh to pick me up. They found a sac with a fetal pole still clinging on, but it's measuring too small to register a heartbeat. It measures just over five weeks, which sounds about right in terms of my last fertile period. But with so much bleeding it doesn't look hopeful. Could still go either way at this point, so have another scan booked in next week to see if it grows or if it's not viable.

All I can do is hope.

dg thinking of you and hope that the bean is ok and everything settles down.

foxy . How scary. Glad you and dd are ok. I worry about what I will do if the dc's have me up all night and I have to drive down the motorway to work the next morning. I think its pure luck that most sleep deprived mums don't have accidents, heaven knows I can be distracted in the car on many occasions.

Sorry to hear (although sadly not suprised) that your LA are being a PITA starlight

Its ds's birthday tomorrow and so far no card or gift from xp. His family have all sent something, but I suspect he is not sending ds anything to spite me for going to the csa. FFS.

This time 3 years ago I had just finished my last ante-natal class and realised I was in labour. We headed home via the chippy for chips and fat coke .

imoscarsmum · 09/11/2009 22:00

Oh wow - so much has happened since I last said hi.

Ninja so sorry to hear of hard times with hubby - hope you work things out. Having gone through a nasty divorce, I can sympathise & I didn't have children then which must make things a million times more stressful. Look after yourself.

DG wow - hoping things go well and your little bean stays put. Take it easy if you can. Hope DS is giving you some more sleep too.

starlight I am amazed at how much you seem to take in your stride. Wish I had half your confidence & strength (or at least the ability to appear so). Your DS and DD are blessed to have you as their mum.

Had C's feet measured at the w'end - she is a 3G. Have no idea if that is 'normal'. Clarkes tried to push cruisers onto me - saying going straight to walkers when she needs them will be harder for her. I stuck by my guns - I feel until she's walking outside, socks and bare feet are best inside.

C has also been refusing her 7pm bottle the last few days and when she did take it last night, she threw it all back up again (over DP, our bed, our duvet, our carpet..it even found its way into DP's undies!!). Really bizarre as she's had a last bottle before bed since she was very little but she's managed to settle herself really well without it, so we may be heading towards proper bedtime story territory at night! I've always trusted her to know what she needs, so will go with this one too.
Giving just one bottle a day is unfamiliar ground!!

imoscarsmum · 09/11/2009 22:02

Oh, and ta for all your info about bath products. Would have preferred just water but C's hair is now so long (almost below her shoulders) it needs a proper wash and we have to blow dry it every night . Johnsons top to toe/tail was only bath wash my midwife recommended - she slagged off the rest of the johnsons range and thats good for me.

starlight C adores her hair being dried with the hairdryer! Always has done. we put it on coolest setting and she curls up on her mat like a kitten while we do it. in the morning, if I'm drying my hair I have to 'dry' hers too. It's quite cute. At the front, her hair is so long it's below her nose! She's like the little fella off Addams Family!

Meglet · 09/11/2009 22:36

imo how cute that your dd already has long hair! I'm actually quite jealous . D5 just has a few whisps of hair, not even enough for a pretty hair slide, I'm so looking forward to her having a little bob in a couple of years .
