Hello everyone,

Just want to wish all the children a Happy Birthday for October.

The big 5, who would have thought it!

Of course it does bring Toby another birthday away from us and we will be doing something special. Although it wont be the evening of his bday as I am at b**y uni!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say very belated happy birthday to Moley and Tweenie and I think Grace. Is Grace today Cazzy
Jenny, I am thinking of you and Tobes. How is the tree? How is Uni?
What are you thinking of doing?

Biglips and Kath, it is funny that one is the biggest and one is the smallest in class.
Alf is now one of the bigger boys because he is in nursery until next year. We have to choose schools in November, it's a bit of a lottery, so not sure where he will end up. It's a shame that attending the nursery doesn't actually influence where the children go. The nursery class from last year has been split over at five or six primary schools.

I'm trying to organise a birthday party at the moment. One of Alfie's best friends went to school this year, so I would like to have a party on a weekend day so he can come, but it's sooo expensive. Grrr!
It's hard to choose between a lavish, organised affair or a basic, 'give them some toys to play with and do pass the parcel' type of event.
It's been so long since I was on here. I have a list
Are the children all learning to read now? What are they doing at school?
Do they have best friends?
Can they all fasten zips/buttons/toggles?
Are they all whizzing around on bikes/trikes/scooters?
Do they do any organised activities?
That will do.
Phew!
Big hug to all the children and mummies from us.

Hi Maisie,

Uni is going well, quite full on but am learning a lot and its kind of enjoyable!!!

The tree is doing well, I thought i had killed it but it has sprung back to life so ill just try to remember to keep watering it!

One of our friends has some lanterns that you put a candle in a release them so we will be doing that. Not sure what else we will do as im at uni but we both have the day off to remember him x

happy birthday Toby xxxx

bigsquirtybloodylips · 19/10/2009 14:32

Maisie -

Are the children all learning to read now? Tweenie cannot read yet but she does recognised letters and she is getting there with her name but always missed out a letter and is always asking me to read whatever that say on anything.

What are they doing at school? schoolwork and play. Schoolwork - learning to recognise the Alphabet and numbers and the sounds of the letters ie C-A-T, M-A-T, etc

Do they have best friends? yes she got 2 boys best friends - Nathan and Thomas

Can they all fasten zips/buttons/toggles? it varies!!

Are they all whizzing around on bikes/trikes/scooters? yyyeesss!!! Tweenie can only sit down for no more than 2 minutes and then shes off...she get bored easily!

Do they do any organised activities? Dance classes (been going since she was 3.5 yrs old and now just joined in Rainbows (before Brownies))

She is growing up too quick!!

Evening all.

Jbadgirl - we were thinking of you on 19th. Its my mums birthday as well but I always think of Toby.

Biglips - moley is learning to read - he's doing quite well but I think its more that he remembers the words rather than being able to read them if you see what I mean. He's also really good at signing - there's a boy in his class who's deaf and all of the class have been learning sign language. I think as well with moley it helps thats he's got 2 older sisters and an older brother.

Hi Biglips - I'd given up on anyone posting on here again! How are your dds? Cant believe moley has nearly finished his first year at school, I think because he's the youngest he's still my baby! I've just booked dd1's birthday party, she'll be 18 in February which makes me feel really old, have started looking at university open days for her. How old is your youngest now?
