Have a wonderful weekend with your lovely boy VG.

hotterpotter · 17/09/2009 21:59

VG hope you have a lovely time in Bath

I'm off too, one more day of work then it's weekend

Night all

RedLentil · 17/09/2009 22:02

There's a 'must read' thread here for mothers of boys by the way.

Has anyone heard from No1 by the way?

RedLentil · 17/09/2009 22:04

Gah, inelegant repetition.
Time to go to bed.

I am supposed to be baking DH's guitar cake but the fecking gas canister ran out.

The only thing that really bothers me about living here is the lack of mains gas and my stupid dithering about keeping a spare can around.

poppysocks · 17/09/2009 22:24

Phew... found you and have pretty much caught up. Hello!

So excited for you oops. Or hoping to be... Love the kitchen by the way. We're planning to get ours done in over the winter so may well be coming to you for advice/sympathy. That's the kitchen we were looking at too!

Have a fab time, ladies of Bath. V. . Will look forward to your reports.

A few days ago now, but was LOL at all the 'holy crap'. NOthing to add, but appreciated it very much.

Congrats hp on your driving test. I failed so many times it's too embarrassing to recount. Car passed its MOT today though so feeling positive on the automotive front.

On the DH as daddy subject, I'm v. lucky with mine. He's a fab and very hands-on Dad. The only thing he's never got involved in is night feeds and that's because a. he sleeps so heavily that to get him out of bed to do it would require me to wake him up with several good shakes and boot out of bed and as a rubbish sleeper I'd then be unable to go back to sleep. b. I'd then be very aware of the fact that he'd be having a mini-party with the awake DD, rather than keeping to a boring routine, lights low, no eye-contact etc. He's particularly good at bathtime, when I'm desperate for a break and leaves me to get on with cooking a lovely evening meal, which I love doing. He then eats it gratefully too . Like you though sazzles, I do organise everything else in our lives, but tbh I rather like that control. He has a stressful job though too so feel it's some way of making up for him taking on the financial burden.

LoveBuckets · 17/09/2009 23:09

Oops I have a spare HPT which I now know I won't need. FB me your address and I'll bung it in the post tomorrow. It's just going to waste here.

VG Have a great weekend, you know DS2 will have a lovely time too. I've written off my Bath plans, too much rushing around already this w/e and DH is already having all 3 kids most of Sunday while I do this baby fayre. He did say he didn't mind me going to Bath but I like to keep up the appearance of Low Maintenance Wife.

Great. Just about to go to bed and the yodelling from the cot starts up again...

Sazzles HI! Sounds like our DH's are on the same page tonight. I'm going to be in a moment (8pm) because I'm pooped! Both girls are asleep. Reese woke in the middle of the night again but I've figured out her problem....SHE HAS NEW TEETH!!! I think two broke through last night. I'm sure it's all those apples I've been giving her that helped them along. OH and Kinsley is finally sitting still so we can read The Far Away Tree. One chapter a night. She LOVES IT!! Wild how she's matured enough to become involved with a chapter book in that short amount of time. Thank you.

Crap! I never did find that measuring tape!! I wanted to get the measurements for a few pieces in the bath. ARRRGGHHHH!!!

Miamla I hope your pain settles. If not I'd see about acupuncture to help you heal.

Oops I'm loving Safari now. It even spell checks while I'm typing here. NICE!!!

VG safe travels.

Poppy good to hear from you.

Night Night

Looks like I missed some excitement on here last night . oops did you test yet?

I'm fairly certain I ovulated last week but who knows, last af was 6 weeks before i got a bfp for Oliver. Nearly 2 years ago . Oops is the'M' word menstruation? What a bloody awful word

cyteen · 18/09/2009 10:06

oops I also have a spare HPT lying about at home - not planning to need it any time soon so it's yours if you want it Will keep any possible excitement firmly in check, but as ever we're all here for you no matter what the outcome.

Most jealous of all the kitchen/decorating talk. As a serial renter my decorating abilities run to sticking things up on the wall with blu-tack. One day we will buy somewhere...hopefully sooner than later, I long for a garden with grass instead of invitingly choky pebbles

This week has been hard, very hard - I didn't realise how hard until I went to yoga last night and spent most of it lying on the floor trying to hold back tears. Better night's sleep from DS though so feeling slightly more on an even keel.

Now I must ring up the university to ask where the hell my registration paperwork is and ring Cruse to ask for a different counsellor.

CaptainCaveman · 18/09/2009 10:23

Sorry your week has been tough cyteen, good luck with getting a different counsellor. It was my 3rd counsellor that I clicked with. The first one was nice and we made good progress but then she changed jobs. The second just annoyed the feck out of me. The third one was a lovely chap and worked magic on me . I hope you find someone like him.

O's been asleep for an hour [shhhh] so I've been dossing around on facebook

TwilightSurfer · 18/09/2009 11:51

Cyteen (((hugs))). Thankfully I clicked with my first psychiatrist (I've had him around for 20 years) but I've never clicked with any of the psychologists that have worked with me. I'll keep some positive vibes going your way to help you get a better therapist.

I went to bed at 8pm. I had to get up at 4:30am to bring Reese in with us. Totally a teeth issue. She doesn't want anything...she just fussy. Both girls are eating breakfast now. DD1 has to be at the school door in an hour. It takes that long to get her morning-mood off and her cheery-day mood on.

Captain, might see you on FB.

alittlebitshy · 18/09/2009 14:30

well, I bought ds his first shoes in the end. was at bluewater and went inot russell and bromley and had a chat with them. he has some lovely flexible pre walkers. He hates them though . correction, he loves them as toys, but he hatesa that his feet have got heavier and he is not enjoying them atm. lol.

What have i missed? what is VG up to in Bath???
