Miamla if I were closer I'd offer my personal taxi service. Or my personal sitter service for T. I'll be sending positive vibes your way. I hope you'll be able to feel them tomorrow.

Sazzles your shoe thingy sounds lovely. Mine's just a few cheap boards and two pegs. The baskets are what I'm missing. Thanks for the idea.

Being bombarded by all this evening so no time to post. I'll be back later...hopefully.

TwilightSurfer · 28/09/2009 01:32

I cleaned off my desk.
I put the girls to bed.
I scheduled pilates classes.

Someone please tell me I'm crazy.
Pilates schedule is as follows:
Tuesday 9:30am
Thursday 9:30am
Saturday 10:00am
Sunday 10:30am

This schedule will begin Tuesday (minus this first Thursday) and continue until November 12th. It's all part of a pilates challenge program that includes weekly meetings, measurements (although i'm not sure what they'll measure) and a book.

Wish me luck.

NezLiquide · 28/09/2009 03:39

TS you are crazy!

Miamla hope all goes well today. T will have a great time with his Grandma and hopefully you'll be home before you know it.

Strangely of all the talk of buying boots but not something I actually need here.

Sazz forgot to mention i-player doesn't work if you have an IP address outside the UK. I got it last year via a proxy server (not sure if exactly legal) as watching the downloaded Strictly was a great activity for all those long bfs that we were doing this time last year but haven't bothered this year as don't get so much time to download and then watch.

Went to our last 1st birthday party for a while on Saturday. DS has picked up some kind of stomach bug though and has the runs and was off his food yesterday and not his usual energetic self. Meant that DH got to go watch the F1 on his own as I didn't feel like leaving him (DS that is) with a sitter in case he woke up - which of course he didn't! DH says we can both go next year provided I'm not pregnant . It looked amazing on TV though - that's when I can't believe I live here (even though I could hear the cars with the windows open).

Was not really an ideal time to try giving up the morning feed but he seemed to be ok yesterday but this morning he kept coming over to me and grabbing my top and only had about 100ml of milk from his cup. It didn't help that he woke up at 5.30 and I bought him into bed with us whereas yesterday DH got up with him straight away and let me have a lie-in till 8.30 (my stomach also not great yesterday so must have been something we ate at the party). So think that is probably the way forward.

StrictlySazz · 28/09/2009 07:15

Morning

Sorry to just disappear last night - i made DH watch Dirty Dancing as he had never seen it before

miamla no wonder you are feeling wobbly. Poor you . Can you speak to the hospital and get an idea of timings to schedule it with DP? Really hope everything goes well for you and you are back soon with DS very soon . I am very for you re knee physio as it should be started on day 1 for maximum healing. i know you have many other things on your plate but i would try and chase this really hard

nez wow for you hearing the GP - must be amazing!

Playgroup this morning and 3rd birthday party this afternoon
TS yes, crazy, but we love you

oopsacoconut · 28/09/2009 07:50

Miamla - thinking of you today.

We are off to sing and sign this morning, for some stupid reason I booked the 10am class and it is 30mins away so no time for DD's morning nap first. DH has the day off and is going to stay home and mow the lawn, hang out the washing etc... then when we get back we are heading off to Westombirt for a great big stomp.

Nez - we were watching the GP yesterday with my parents looking at places we recognised, None of us could figure out before the race where it was.

TS - you are NUTS!

Morning ladies.

Thinking of you toady miamla as much as you are desperate to get back to ds ( understandable) I would wait until you are ok.

vg how wonderful you speak of ds1 dad like that. So lovely and refreshing.
The cheese and chutney toastie sounds devine.

buckets thanks for advice re top.
Off shopping again today, not sure how succesful it will be with two dcs in two. but we will see.

saz I have never been on a tram either and the whole process scares the sgit out of me. IN fact I leave so close to Sheffield but never go as I am scared of driving round to find a car park.
I believe you can just get a bus to the place. I am going to check it out right now. I I assure you I will not be here for just 2 hours. I can be there all day. Or stay as late as the last persons train is due. If that makes sense.

If I had the room at mine you would be more than welcome to stay.

nez sorry about the bug from the food, hope you are all over it quickly, and you missed the F1. I bet sounded amazing hearing it through the windows though.

oops I can just Imagine dd nodding in the right places. bless her, she sounds very sweet.

ts that pilates schedule is but amazing. I am very You will feel just fabulous.

Oh and well done mrsazz on the diy.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/09/2009 07:52

cc hope you are not too hungover today.

miamla · 28/09/2009 08:48

re physio... i'm going to chase again before i leave to go home tomorrow (knee consultant at same hospital)

feeling a bit better today. i know you're all right about not leaving too soon but i'm getting GA today and being kept in overnight. Mum can't pick me up because the car seat for DS won't fit in her snazzy little sporty number with no back seats!

can everybody refrain from discussing food today please... i'm nil by mouth and really wish now i'd got up to have a 3am breakfast!

sorry, its all me me me at the moment. i am reading and you're all in my thoughts

LoveBuckets · 28/09/2009 09:24

Miamla def get picked up. Apart from anything it will be nicer to have some company for gallows humour if you find you can't sit down in any vehicle.

DS1 having his first sickie today! Has been under the weather all weekend but has croupy cough this morning and actually declared himself sick which is unusually sensitive for little Mr Superhuman. Will share a bath with him as soon as Kurt goes down for his nap.

Sazz Spray primer???? Fab idea, why have I not heard of this?

CC Yes conjunctivitis is a day off work if you are anywhere near patients, isn't it?.

Did I tell you my newest fundraising idea? It's called The John Hughes Movie Club. Basically for £5 charity donation I offer wine, chocolate, fresh cookies and a John Hughes 80s bratpack movie in my living room with 80s dresscode for local ladies. What do you think, would you pay £5 for that? Any improvements?

luckoftheirish · 28/09/2009 09:34

Good Luck Miamla, thinking of u xx

Morning all, went abit awol.. not so that you would notice ..

mad weekend as dh eldest d was down for the weekend ( she is 22) only met her 2 yrs ago.. luckily i knew that she may have existed but was a shock when she got in touch!!! so DH has 2 dds... guess thats why he doesn't want anymore ... anyway got rid of a load of baby stuff at the weekend.. as we are definitely sticking with two... did feel quite sad but also like a new chapter is begining... having said that still waiting for af... but after last month think body is messed up...

I could do the Sheffield meet potentially.. tho very nervous as not been on one before so if someone could let me know details ( runs into a corner as very shy!!)...

Haven't had much chance to catch up but hope everyone is well xxx

luckoftheirish · 28/09/2009 09:35

VG, hope you feel ok.. she gets on really well with the los, spoils them rotten.. hoping in a few years they will want to spend the weekend with their big sis.. child free time

miamla · 28/09/2009 11:27

i'm feeling really dizzy from not eating anything. i feel like crying (especially since my sister has offered me a lift to the hospital, far nicer option than the rucksack/two buses/crutches combo that's my alternative) and i just want all this to be over. fortunately DS napping at the moment but he's been playing up this morning. probably my fault and he senses something wrong

VG... shall we find a quiet corner to have a pity party in together?

TwilightSurfer · 28/09/2009 11:30

Lucky that's quite interesting news. Good to hear she is wonderful with your girls.

VG I am wishing you a nice rest today. (((hug)))

Miamla (((HUG)))

hate to type and run but i'm disorganized this morning and need to figure out my plan. all dcs must be in the truck in a little over an hour because I am the carpool driver today.

hotterpotter · 28/09/2009 12:24

LOL TS that would be funny if, after all that other mother ing you were doing last week, you nded up half an hour late picking her kid up

I'm rushing too, it's nursery time for DD, but I just wanted to say

Good luck Miamla . I'm sure it'll be fine and you'll be home before you know it. Plus yay for your sister taking you in

Back soon...

TwilightSurfer · 28/09/2009 13:07

DD1 LOST HER FIRST TOOTH!!!!!
Well it's really not lost and I had the luxury of getting to pull it out. YAY!!!

Now I must add toothfairy chores to my to-do list for the day!!!

Doh . In my defence i am sure MrsMiamla is very loving towards MiamlaMan and treats him as her own

Weather, and the onset of autumn and shorter days i'm sure plays a part.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/09/2009 13:44

miamla glad you got a lift sorted. thinking of you today.

ts will be it left for the tooth fairy?

buckets hope ds enjoys his bath, and it makes him feel a bit better.

vg sorry to hear you are feeling a bit low,it is utterly shite when you can't put a finger on why.
I have a lot of days like that.
Me and my dsis call it the 'black cloud'.

Been shopping today, still struggling with bras.
Managed to get some tops, cardigans and some biker style boots.
Dc's were a nightmare. Most kids hate shopping,so bless them, I can't blame them.

What does this say about ME?....DD1's first question after I pulled her tooth, "are you going to put my picture with my lost tooth on Facebook, Mom?" LOL!

No1, yes it will be left for the Tooth Fairy but logistics have to be worked out before bedtime. DD1 is a WHOLE BED sleeper. She's lucky to have a queen size bed otherwise, I fear, she would fall in the floor most nights. This poses a problem for the Tooth Fairy because the "tooth" could easily get LOST. I'm thinking I will go look for a pretty jewelry box to set on her bedside table. She can place the tooth there for the Fairy to swap out. This is most fitting since "our" Tooth Fairy turns lost teeth into jewelry. I first thought each tooth would be turned into a charm for a charm bracelet when she's older. We shall see. I've showered so I can go out shopping for the best possible solution.
