Happy Birthday littleloti & MRDIZZY

Not fair that dh did not join in on her birthday morning. Sorry to be harsh but if my dh ever did that he would no longer be my dh. Unforgivable and unacceptable in my view.
However I do overreact and hold a grudge very well.

nezliquide So glad you had a good time, sorry to hear of ds being poorly, but I suppose at the begining of the holiday it got it out of the way so to speak.

We are thinking of July for holiday and ds will be nearly 2 and dd will be 3.5 So yes I imagine it would be a bit difficult doing long haul.(I would do it if we went away with family too) forgot to say last night I have always fancied Corsica and that Villa looked amazing.

Well we have had bad nights from dd lately, up at least 6,7,8, times most nights.
All she says and wants is 'mummy'
This has all started since last week when she started preschool.
Coincidence or not. I am exhausted with a heavy head today.(nothing to do with the Red wine though.)
Dh gone to bed as is on nights tonight. He has been great getting up with her all the time, even though she has rejected him for me.

hotter what car you oggling?
Ds is sleeping through most of the time now, with the odd wake up now and again.

dizzydixies · 23/09/2009 10:48

Happy birthday LittleLoti hope Daddy perks up and joins in soon

we, on the other hand, were the other way round with DD2 coming through at 6am wondering if it was birthday time yet?!? girls off to school/playgroup, Dylan has had her MMR and now asleep - as is DH seeing as he's starting nights tonight

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 23/09/2009 10:51

dizzy you have just reminded me to get appointment for ds and MMR.

dizzydixies · 23/09/2009 10:52

No1 - I also have DD2's preschool boosters to book - am so NOT looking forward to those at all - I may only be able to get an appt on a day when I'm working

dizzydixies · 23/09/2009 10:55

No1 if you go to corsica we're all coming too

Nez sounds brill and don't panic there is a huge difference in them at this age and 20months - am sure your journey home will be fine

AnnVan · 23/09/2009 11:16

Hello everyone!
Sorry have been awol again, but DP has been off work for a week, so haven't really had access to the laptop.
Oops Biggest congratulations! How exciting!
LOTI sorry your H is being such an arse If he carries on like this, he will regret it in the end.

Seb's birthday was fab. He got loads more presents on the day itself.
Um have completely forgotten all I wanted to say

poppysocks · 23/09/2009 11:25

Happy Birthday notquiteminiestLOTI and Mrdixie! Sorry DH wasn't up for the present opening this morning LOTI. Must admit that no matter how tired he is I can't understand that. Seeing their excitement on a day like that is the nicest things about being a parent, I think, Am sure you're compensating though admirably.

Corsica sounds fab no1. DH's parents retire at the end of next year and have bought a gorgeous place in the south of France (complete with a separate house for visitors!) so given that and that we get on really well with them, I suspect we'll always end up going to for our summer hols once they've moved. Until then though all their furniture is still with them in Paris so next summer is probably our last non-ILs hol for some time. Haivng SO much fun thinking about it. Corsica on the list. As is Sardinia. Think Cephalonia may win though as DH and I spent a fab hol there as students, pre-Captain Correlli, and think a revisit is due. Def. June or July here too before DD2 turns 2 and we have to pay for her seat on the plane.

DD1 had the pre-school boosters yesterday dizzy. Such a star, but I was woken up to the sound of her sobbing this morning though as her arm had obviously stiffened up overnight . DD2's MMR fine it seems. Both girl pooped today so nice and quiet here with plenty of time for MN.

Hello nez . Great to have you back.

alittlebitshy · 23/09/2009 14:42

ooh that sounds like lots of good hols ahead!!

midiloti happy birthday. about your dh loti. men, tch!

Has anyone heard from pertelote lately or have i been skimming too fast??

StrictlySazz · 23/09/2009 15:09

Afternoon

IL's have left the building, which is amazing as i was expecting them at 3pm. MIL phoned at 8am to say they would be with us by 12 . Cue me running into the farm shop between swimming and signing to source some bread, cheese and chorizo so i could at least offer them something

Happy birthday LittleLoti, hope Daddy shares the excitement of your birthday pressies with you after tea . LOL at No1's overreactions and grudge holding . Not really sure how i would handle it really - probably a sharp kick to the (currently tender) nether regions i imagine

poppy great that you might well make the Xmas meet - i think you need to put your name down on the list on the Stickied Xmas Meet thread and then pay some money at some point soon. I will text you re dates and possible meet in bonnie Scotland as i think Dizz gave me your number. I can only comment on Sardinia in your list of destinations, which is lovely. I also love our annual trip to France - lucky you to be able to go with the family, and have your own space

TS with a teensy bit of that you have the all clear for no more surfers

Nez/Ann glad you had nice breaks with the family . Can i just say, we had amazing long haul flights with our girls so I would never 'not' do something, just because of the fear things might be a little difficult for a few hours. Oh, and night flights/drives are the way to go IMO

Right, i'll stop now as DD2 whingeing - i suspect teeth but am not allowed anywhere near her mouth without meltdown occurring

TwilightSurfer · 23/09/2009 15:35

not trying to be rude but in a grumble-grumble mood today. totally self inflicted mind you but dh's inability to "chat" didn't help. attempting mood overhaul later.

birthday wishes to midilucky and mrdizzy.

sazzpizazz you are beyond inspiring with your upbeat motion. please find a way to bottle a bit. i'd pay top dollar.

might be planning sunshine inspired trip. who's going to be in the states soon. could see if you location is a possible add-in.

{the tape is holding well}

StrictlySazz · 23/09/2009 15:41

we cannot afford a US trip next year

TwilightSurfer · 23/09/2009 16:42

thanks sazz .

luckoftheirish · 23/09/2009 18:21

Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes.. littleloti had a great day!!!

I'm exhausted beyond belief ... still narked with dh ho hum but with raging pmt.. i guess that doesn't help ... something you don't have to worry about for a long time oops

sequinedsteaknife · 23/09/2009 18:25

Evening.
Birthday wishes to LittleLoti and Mr.Dizzy
A better day today, even though mum and I turned up a day early for the sewing exhibition at the county show ground this morning.

Housing Benefit chappy phoned me and said it has all gone through and they have taken DD into account and money is winging its way to my account. yay! Still no sign of Child Tax Credit and Child Benefit, but at least mum wont have to pay my rent next month.

Sorted out all the bills nonesense from yesterday too and won a pair of boots I have been lusting after for two years on ebay.

So all round lots better.

StrictlySazz · 23/09/2009 18:32

LOTI, i realised my period might be imminent when i threatened DH that i was likely to throw a yoghurt across the kitchen earlier unless he stopped talking to me like one of his employees . TBF to him it had been the previous hour of incessant whingeing/shouting by the DD's which was driving me nuts but his attitude was the last straw

Luckily he realised i was serious and stopped winding me up. We ended up laughing about it, especially when he sent DD1 in to say 'Mummy, you won't throw yoghurt over Daddy will you?' (please note i only threatened to throw it across the kitchen, not actually at him. He over egged that one for DD1's benefit}

Glad to hear the party went well - i'm dreading DD1's as i am not the natural party organiser type

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 23/09/2009 19:38

I am glad the party went well too.

ts hope you are feeling better too. {{hugs}} if you want them.

sazz I would have thrown it on him,as I posted earlier on in the week I threw a bottle of talc in a rage at dh head.(I know not clever, violence is bad from either side)
Showing my true colour is a psycho maybe.
What you said about long flight not stopping you from doing it just cos it may be difficult. That is what I said to dh, but because the 1hr 50 min journey to the coast was dire both directions, and the journey to Norfolk in june was the same. He pointed out that no way would he do a long flight.

I did add that it would be different as in the car, it is worse beacuse you can't pick them up and comfort them.

StrictlySazz · 23/09/2009 19:48

No1 i guess ours are a bit more used to it as it is 2hrs to visit my family and old friends and 2hrs to DH's parents and we do these trips about once a month. Also we have driven to France a fair few times with them so maybe they are just travel weary and put up and shut up

I am just off to the Preschool committee meeting. I am hoping to just observe and hope my hand doesn;t involuntarily shoot up and volunteer for something

alittlebitshy · 23/09/2009 19:55

sazzles at yoghurt throwing. You're a better woman than me at managing to restrain yourself!!!!

StrictlySazz · 23/09/2009 19:57

LOL albs, i growled under my breath - 'i am going to throw this yoghurt somewhere across the room in a minute' and i think he was a bit scared as he knew i meant it

He did say, ok, but just don't throw it at me

Right, really must go, meeting starts at 8

LoveBuckets · 23/09/2009 20:29

Gah it appears I have a cold. Which means tomorrow I will feel even worse. Shall I just keep working my way through the winebox tonight? Seems best.

I have trouble dressing up for nights out because my usual daywear is a sort of scruffy glamour (ie one showstopper key item downplayed by worn out jeans, leggings, cardi etc), so it can be hard to ring the changes. And I NEVER have nice shoes, am entering my annual (well ok 6monthly) shoe crisis now. I tend to wear one pair down to the ground for 6months - I can't get away with wedgy mule sandals much longer, sock-weather is a creepin' up.

TS High five to you and Surferdude, good to know for sure and be able to move on(although you and I both know the stats on spontaneous reversal etc etc etc.)

LOTI Maybe his idea of what he's working toward is unnecessarily high. If you could convince him he only needs to pay the mortgage and pay for a cheapy holiday or two, that his time is more important than his money, he might slow down at work. Seems like all his empirebuilding is forcing him down the pub and further away from you guys. He needs to start idling, man, less of the unpaid overtime. Life is too short.

TwilightSurfer · 23/09/2009 21:14

I washed a disposable diaper in the washing machine by accident today.

TwilightSurfer · 23/09/2009 21:32

I assisted Reese just a moment ago with a major problem. She moved her little wooden chair over and it landed on her foot. This hurt so she started pushing down on the seat of the chair in an attempt to move it. This of course just made her foot hurt even more because it was UNDER THE CHAIR. Bad cycle, lots of crying.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 23/09/2009 22:14

awww poor Reese, I hope she is ok now. How are you feeling ts? sazzles I guess I need to do more holidays.

Hope the meeting went ok, so what have you volunteered for then??

buckets forgot to say earlier that cherry top is lovely.
I am in need of a complete new wardrobe.
I will struggle mostly with tops.
I have just no idea.
I know what I don't like though.
Cyteen the green dress is a Large, so thinking way to big for you, the fact that it is a wraparound is great, but I find it is a bit gapey(sp?) around the bust area and arm area.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 23/09/2009 22:16

Can anyone shed any light on the Bra measuring thing, I thought it was wrong to add the inches etc...

I have measured 31 under bust and 36 around bust, so what does that make me then?

I should post in style really shouldn't I, before I bore you all silly.
