Fri 30th sounds fab dizzy. M has dancing in the afternoon, but am guessing you'll have school pick up at the same sort of time, so morning better all-round? MMR here this week too . MMR booster for DD1 at the same time . Could be a fun week...

Away 5-9th Oct but otherwise here, ready and waiting .

UpTheRebelLentils · 20/09/2009 11:27

Psst. Tis Red here.

I'm assuming we're all supporting Cork in the All Ireland Final today

Oops- that is fantastic news.

I trust this finds you reclined on a sofa, while DH runs around pandering to your every whim.

We have had a lovely birthday weekend here. We went to the wildlife park in Cork with our gang, my dsis, BIL and their two boys.

DD2 was most impressed by the giraffes and the crows. Probably not in that order.

We had a little party for my nephew (2) and DH (40) on Friday night, and my guitar cake was very good if I say so myself. I'll put a picture up when Dsis sends one on.

The most moment of the weekend came when I was explaining to DD1 about her newest cousins. She has it in her head that they both have the same name.

So I explained that N's baby is P and he has red hair. C's baby is S and he has black hair.

She paused for a moment and then delivered a very nonchalant 'bollocks.'

I'm guessing she'd heard it in one of the adult conversations the night before but still.

We were all too stunned to say anything and she wandered on to another topic.

Anyway, tis nice to be home. The sun is shining and there is huge excitement around here because our local team has a player in the Final for the first time ever.

Up the rebels!

Red LOL at DD's swearing I mentioned my DD saying 'bugger off graggy' (MIL) on fb, well apparently she was talking to DH yesterday about Chris Packham, who was reading the bedtime story on CBeebies. DH said, 'is Chris Packham boring?' and she said 'no, he is a twat' . I totally blame DH because he refuses/is unable to stop swearing but my censure was tainted somewhat by sniggering

Would love to come to the London Christmas party but it's DD's birthday weekend so not really a goer. We may be actually managing to organise a northern meet before Christmas too so watch this space (without holding your breath) and venture over if you dare

Hope the weather in Bath is as lovely as it is here. Off to tidy up the garden a bit while DS naps

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 20/09/2009 13:50

hey ladies.
HOTTER I`will get my arse in gear and reply to you on fb.

So busy at the moment, with pony and preschool and visiting grandparents etc...

M an dh went out last night for the second time in over a year.

Had a fab night, and a fab morning
So I got up early and went to muck out and spend some time with 'lottie@ on my own. Was lovely up there this am.

Hoping to nip round corner from me, to watch a horse show when ds wakes up (pick up some tips)

We went to see my nan & Grandad the other day who live on the East coast. Doc has found a tumour in his bladder and he has to have an op next week to remove it. My nan struggling and my grandad being brave, however they mentioned the c word for the first time this week and it frightened my grandad a bit.

Just got to wait and see.
Glorious sunshine here.
Sorry for me me me will catch up.
Hello and love to you all though.

sambo303 · 20/09/2009 15:15

red lol at dd1; I keep telling dp to mind his language around ds.

no1 for your gps, poor things! glad to hear you have had a good night out with your dh

had lovely day out at festi yesterday, i can say hand on heart it was the best festi i have ever been to (and I've been to a few) - very small , not commercial, lots of original hippies, fires and drumming...perfect. Equinox well and truely celebrated. And we checked out the yurts and tipees for size. Ds had the time of his life and refused to sleep all afternoon. We met a healer who said he needs rehydrating. I arrived at the festi with a burgeoning cold sore - it has gone today, a festival miracle!!

unfortunately we had the worst night ever last night followed by massive meltdown by...DP - he says we are never having more dcs he cant stand being this tired etc . We have agreed to try cc once ds's eczema clears up.

well I am thoroughly narked off.

Harvest at church. Lunch afterwards. dh parks his sodding mother with me and the kids and despite promising to sit with me and help he proceeds to migle and not eat with us. when i find him later he looks like he is a bit tipsy but then proceeds to have more wine. then when he gets home he is clearly pissed. I have had a real go at him and made him stay in bed. v angry.

raaaah.

luckoftheirish · 20/09/2009 18:41

Sorry to hear you are narked albs [hugs]..

So pleased the mini meet went well ..

Well dd1 birthday party was a success but i am shattered!!! she is now upstairs quietly playing so fingers crossed she will wear herself out..

DH finally came home at 11.45am so cutting it a bit fine.. managed to organise a golf day with one of the dad's at the party tho ... anyway dd2 is very restless so i am typing downstairs whilst he is up sorting her woo hoo

is it wine o'clock yet????

sequinedsteaknife · 20/09/2009 19:39

wine o'clock here LOTI
I made the mistake of putting a wash in after I settled DD and I am now learning just how noisy it is - DD not settled. Bah. Still it isn't too late yet.

We had a lovely day, despite a few falls and a fat lip for DD. Learning to walk sure is dangerous.

We took our Sunday constitutional along the sea front. Got nekid in the sand - her not me - and played in the sea. She liked the sea so much that after I took her out she turned tail and crawled back to it.

Trying to get her through the day sans boobage - got it down to one feed before her nap and one before bedtime. I just distract her with breadsticks in the day. Though I might have to go and feed her to settle her again otherwise she will be moaning on for ages.

sequinedsteaknife · 20/09/2009 20:02

euwww - twas a huge stinky nappy full. Which reminds me to go the the agents tomorrow and tell him that until he gets the light in the bathroom fixed I will be phoning him each time DD has a nappyfull that needs changing at night. grrr.

alittlebitshy · 20/09/2009 20:02

DS, DD AND d FARKING H (oops caps lock) all in bed. mil is pfaffing. will make myself some pate on toast, tea and will seethe away to myself either on here or in front of tv.

Glad party went well luck. V sensible letting the soft play do the work. we've done all of dd's parties either at home (til her 3rd) then 4-6 in the church hall 9free to us ah ha) and it is fraking hard work!!! But cheaper which is the main motivation. they are v low grade compared to lots of the £££ ones in the class but this year the party games went down a storm as noone ever does that kind of thing anymore;(

sequinedsteaknife · 20/09/2009 20:09
alittlebitshy · 20/09/2009 20:14

lol at glass of red. it was too mnay glasses of red that got dh into this state .

anyhoooo - steaky long time no chat! how is life back this side of the pond and how are relations with dh, long distance?

sequinedsteaknife · 20/09/2009 20:29

but albs it wasn't you drinking the red, so surely your tern now?

relations with the mansteak okay. He doesn't call much and doesn't answer his phone if I call him. Not sure whether to go for "my life is sooooooooooo fabulous and Izzy is fabulous and everything is fabulous" or to not talk about me at all and just talk about Izzy.
I mean what am I supposed to say when he asks, "how are you?"

right better cook some dinner.

sequinedsteaknife · 20/09/2009 20:31

tern? who let in the sea birds?

sequinedsteaknife · 20/09/2009 20:32

really, you people have missed this kind of wiffling?

sambo303 · 20/09/2009 20:47

yes, good to have you back steak

miamla · 20/09/2009 20:53

course we've missed your wiffling, steaky albs send mil to bed as well...you deserve a quiet night on your own and the offer still stands if you want to come over here. Actually do you want to pop over tomorrow to avoid a hungover M?

alittlebitshy · 20/09/2009 20:56

Have lovely hot tea and toblerone!! mmm.

mil in living room, i am in study - tis chilly in here. was about to phone you miamla but have gone all silly now lol .

alittlebitshy · 20/09/2009 20:58

I did wonder about the tern but hey ho .

can anyone explain to me how the vg/sazz/oops meetup came about? what is VG up to over here?? am {envy]

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 20/09/2009 21:03

albs I will join you with the term D fuckingH

Mine is also asleep, curled up in dds bed sleeping off a drunken merry all dayer afternoon session.
He was supposed to be back for half 2 ish, and strolled in at about 5.30pm.

Always good at ruining the night before.

I threw a very large bottle of baby talc,(full i may add) in the face, but he moved and I managed to just nic his face.
Bastardo.
He did make me very angry. Luckily the dcs didn't see me do this, but they did hear me shout a little and I am very and and with myself for that.

Anyhoo steaky tis so wonderful to hear from you.
Did you sort out the microphone issue?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 20/09/2009 21:08

At least me and dd have the bed tonight which means she will sleep through all night without a murmour.

dcs have been wonderful today, and ds is being so very adorable with his babbling and random new words.
He is doing lots of pointing at things atm mainly lights.

Also love it when he walks over to me and cuddles, it is amazing. He leans into me and rests his head on my shoulder. Bless
He also loves music and dances constantly, he loves cbeebies happy birthday song, and spins in circles.

alittlebitshy · 20/09/2009 21:10

I actually did something rather similar no1 and i also (i have a v bad temper me ) threatened to chop his clothes up but couldn't find the baby nail scissors so did a tiny rip on a shirt hanging up to be mended anyhow. .

so though.

MEN!! Q unlike my dh. He never ever has done this in the daytime - only come back drunker than I am happy with from nights out (and when i say night our i don't mean pubs and clubbing, i mean oxford reunion dinners and meals with friends whoch actually makesit worse.)

This feels worse with mil here.

didnlt want to have to explain to dd why daddy is talking funny, so I made him steer clear.

was that wrong?

he says he's stressed. well, so am i!!!! and it is his mother. yes he may be stressed that she is ill, but i do not think she is at deaths door. also why the heck did he do this where parish ppl could notice? arse!

miamla · 20/09/2009 21:11

oi albs don't be daft! if you want to call, call! it'll be a welcome distraction
