oh, and ugh LD. I had to look up giardiasis as I am quite interested in gory things, but that is really nasty indeed. Yay on getting a job though Do you want to do something that hurts challenges your brain, or do you want something a bit simpler for now?

Ewe · 04/11/2009 20:25

YAdefNBU DP - very annoying unless she has a very good excuse when she comes back in!

Oh LD - that sounds rubbish, hope you're all on the mend soon. Will add pics to FB group shortly for your DD she is adorable! Oh and jobs are very overrated, put it off as long as possible

meg the house stuff sounds a nightmare, what did DH say about new buyer?

MB - someone I know has just been diagnosed with RA, what is the miracle drug you're on?

turtle - where are you? Is everything ok?

turtle23 · 04/11/2009 20:52

Come out!

Did you fancy trying a toddler group with me on Monday if you're not doing anything? There is apparently a good one at St.Josephs church. Fully understand if you just want to mooch about the house, it's all I wanted to do when heavily pregnant How are things at home?

turtle23 · 05/11/2009 05:26

Ewe-have emailed you

ewe it's called Humira, it's an anti-TNF. They are rationed by the NHS, as it cots about 8k a year (peanuts, grr). You have to fail the standard teratments first. Which is ridiculous as they work best if used soon after onset. You need a modren rheumatologist to bump you through the paperwork ASAP and a tolerant PCT. In my case, it took just over a year. Of having insuffiently treated pain and fatigue and immobility, plus major side effects to the two other treatments I tried.

So sorry to hear you have a friend affected by the drug. If s/he hasn't already, get them to join the NRAS forum which is a mine of information. It costs about 17 quid a year, but it is locked and secure. I'm also merryberry there. It's full of old timers, but look past that and it's got massive amounts of info and support.

merryberry · 05/11/2009 11:34

sorry, i mean affteced by RA, not the drug

FfreckleFface · 06/11/2009 11:27

wanders aimlessly through

What did I do before Ff? She's only been gone two hours and I'm still not adjusted to my child-free state so am just eating left over cinder toffee from last night, ignoring my big pile of law books.

How is everyone? Any weekend plans?

Hmm, off to convince Bloke to take me out for lunch...

megonthemoon · 06/11/2009 21:11

What a week! As if it hadn't already been stressful enough with everything going pear-shaped and having to switch to new buyers on our house, I was up most of the night with DS being sick and have had a day of his temperature bouncing up and down between 38 and 40, serious lethargy and laboured breathing, and then calpol stops bringing temp down necessitating emergency appt at hospital an hour ago and diagnosis of suspected swine flu...

Sigh. DS is tucked up in bed, finally passed out.

I would be downing a stiff drink, but I don't think I've had time to mention I also got a BFP in the midst of all of this...

As I said, what a week!

megonthemoon · 06/11/2009 21:13

for those on FB, please don't mention BFP as i'm not telling much of RL until after first trimester

Dontpanic · 06/11/2009 21:44

Meg, hope DS is ok, mine had all the symptoms the other week, but the other NHS "diagnose it" thingy said it was just "normal" childhood fever category...but it was the most horrible weekend with him feeling so sorry for himself. Hope yours has as swift a recovery.

Oh, and at BFP!

merryberry · 06/11/2009 22:04

meg on bfp, get well soon to the big brother

littleducks · 06/11/2009 22:12

Annie- get yourself back here! I havent seen anything of your life/situation since the Stuck At Home Mum threads and had been wondering what was going on with you

meg aaargh, S flu? just what you need when newly up the duff! is he on tamiflu or bed rest technique?

dont panic well chuffed as i am that you think that i am up to quantam physics i had either light admin duties at home (but i doubt i will get a working from home job though i could do more hours if i cut down on mning) or absolutely anything even shelf stacking in chavsda if it gets me out the blooming house once in a while

ilovegreenbeans · 06/11/2009 22:25

Woo-hoo HQ!!! (I mean meg)

AnnieLobeseder · 06/11/2009 22:32

Hey Littleducks! I'm at work, full time unfortunately but it's a good job, and sooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than being at home! What you up to? What kind of job are you looking for?

Any of you coming to the MN Christmas meet-up?

FfreckleFface · 06/11/2009 22:47

Ohmygoodgod, HQ. congrAtulations!
Annie, I'd forgotten you were one of us - drop in more often! I'm going to the Christmas party.

turtle23 · 07/11/2009 06:02

Welcome back to the club Meg! Hope all goes well with the house! Poor L, hope he feels better soon. x

Hi Derah...good to see you.

I think I must be making emotional progress as regards DH. I had dreams/nightmares last night where I beat the shit out of him when he kissed somebody in front of me and really rubbed it in...been up since 230 as a result as it really shocked me...

Ff i bought a top today that eloquently and not elegantly outlines my untoned tum. but sod it, i can swing it round my grand total of 5 xmas invites and xmas day. don't forget to buy earplugs to stay at mine. gg is having a stream of midnight screaming abdabs for his 18 month growth spurt thingy.

FfreckleFface · 07/11/2009 17:52

Oh God - hadn't even considered what to wear...
Midnight? Will we be in at midnight?

merryberry · 07/11/2009 19:29

god i hope i can cope with the sunday

turtle23 · 09/11/2009 08:21

So. Pascal's version of the 18 month sleep regression (only a month late) is to be awake between 3 and 5. Am seriously considering syringing phenergan into him at 230. Does that make me a terrible mother? I'm knackered.

OP posts:
Ewe · 09/11/2009 09:36

Not terrible at all, you need some sleep. Does Medised work at all for P? I had to use it last week when T had a nasty cold and she slept until 7:30!

We have ANOTHER tummy bug here, T not so bad but me suffering. She seems to be getting better at dealing with things but still bringing them home from nursery for me. Ugh.

Ewe · 09/11/2009 09:38

Thanks for that info mb, have emailed on, she runs her own cafe so it's a nightmare at the moment as she has to shut when she has a flare up! Think she'll be up for fighting anything that works.

Xmas party, totally forgot about it! Will go pay now and start thinking about what to wear!

merryberry · 09/11/2009 10:32

yes annie, i'm going, so's ff and by the looks of it ewe too? no sign of sexonfire tho...where's you at lady?
