Jam under cream ?????

That is just plain wrong.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 31/08/2009 12:57

Auld/Bicnod the other teething powders that work well are the Nelsons ones - homeopathic remedies called Teetha (Nelson's one) or just Boots own Teething Powders, which for some reason aren't on their website at the moment, but are exactly the same stuff as the Nelson's. They work a treat with Orbit.

AuldAlliance · 31/08/2009 14:18

Thanks for the info on teething powders. Am trying to plan a way to smuggle get them here from the UK...

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 31/08/2009 14:39

Auld I'll post you some if you like? You could always post me some chocolate olives sometime in exchange! If you want me to do it then CAT me your address and tell me which ones you want and I'll do it this week.

soupsmum · 31/08/2009 14:57

Yo Soups. Wilkommen!

As you may know, we can be very rude on this thread but the main rude person (Nutty) is preoccupied elsewhere at present. But the initiation ritual is to shout the words 'porridge gun' and run away giggling.

mathshoneybunny27 · 31/08/2009 15:30

PORRIDGE GUN!!!!!

ThunderStealingMathsMummy

soupsmum · 31/08/2009 15:32

Shouts "PORRIDGE GUN" off giggling.

soupsmum · 31/08/2009 15:33

Am i now a fully fledged fanjo warrior???

kazkiss · 31/08/2009 15:36

also customs wise, might not help that certain druggies use the powders to cut in with real drugs!

We used to have to keep them behind t'counter when I was a mere pharmacy assitant. oooh back in the days.

Ooh thats what i was meaning to tell you all. I did a KIT day the other day. (keeping in touch with work day.) where you basically go in for a day. I found it interested but now my head is swimming with work stuff and i am not sure that is a good thing. Has anyone else done one? Do any of you intend to do any or are you all hiding till you go back.

kazkiss · 31/08/2009 15:37

sorry soup missed ya!

Hiya welcome to the den of eniquity (sp?) !!!

BoffinMum · 31/08/2009 15:39

I have done two KIT days, with kids in tow. It was pretty hairy tbh. But remember you get full pay for those days ...

BoffinMum · 31/08/2009 15:39

MANMEAT!!!!!!!!

kazkiss · 31/08/2009 15:42

oooh quick Q?

Do any of you know of a cot mobile where you can have the motion but no music?

It is just that we have just seperated izzie and ollie in their own cots. but they were previously sharing one mobile. They need their own mobiles (which are essiential for sleep) but i dont want two different songs going on at the same time!

kazkiss · 31/08/2009 15:48

lol x post boff.

I have probably unofficially done loads of KIT days really, some with babies some without as have attended about 3 meetings and apparently they should be counted as KIT days too. but nevermind. The one the other day was a proper KIT day. Did you feel weird being there, but not being there? if you know what i mean?

soupsmum · 31/08/2009 16:01

Howdy Kazkiss,

I am putting off planning my KIT day for this week , have only been to work once with Z since he was born and again only emailed once, need a kick up the bum I do, have avoided met colleuges in town and have been at my lack of effort to keep intouch. i just dont want to think about work.
I think babiesRus do a mobile with volume control?????

mathshoneybunny27 · 31/08/2009 16:02

I have done two KIT days, without babies. It was good but boobs grew quiiiiite painful. OOOH Boff you will appreciate this one of them was to go to a conference in your neck of the woods and I got the honour of expressing milk in Prof Hawkins seminar room
Loved it but a real relief when i got home.

soupsmum · 31/08/2009 16:20

I'll be back later to post a lil about Z, off to get DS1 some cough med, he WILL be back at school tomo.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 31/08/2009 17:05

Kazkiss we have this one - looks`rather austere and educational but Orbit loves it and spends ages smiling at it. DS1 did too, from wht I remember.

dawntigga · 31/08/2009 17:19

kaz if you find one let me know - I bloody hate the tinkly rubbish musak would prefer silence and have looked and looked for one but never found one

Welcome soups

Just poured some teetha granules in little O's mouth - neighbour had them - will report back.

DH is putting him to bed so I can do the garden so I'd better get off mumsnet before I get into trouble...

HOT BEEF INJECTION!!

OP posts:
kazkiss · 31/08/2009 20:38

Thanks for the recommendation re: mobiles.

That one looks rather funky. I think my bubbas seem to me infatuated with animals at the moment.

Ollie is particulary in love with toucan from the rainforest series of fisher price. has one on jumperoo and swing chair! Has full blown conversations with toucan on a thrice daily basis at least. I know they do a mobile but dont think you can turn the sound off euggghhhh.

ooh glad i am not the only one who has done KIT days. makes me feel less neurotic about work.
