Now where are you Scoot?

GhostWriter · 07/10/2009 10:09

Tils, I saw a pregnancy physio and she was fabulous.

Pinkjenny · 07/10/2009 10:12

Tils - will you respond to my thread in Chat about Peppa Pig live? I'm sure you've been already...

TheGreatScootini · 07/10/2009 10:18

at Lucas.A is so sweet.

You know you've read them all GW, every word.Perhaps if I get you in Secret Santa I will get you a life sized cardboard cut out of Edward, (like mine!).Ive read Ann Rice.Thought was only OK.I imagine Meyer was thinking of the millions she has now got in the bank to be honest .
I've seen all of Trueblood on FX and love it.(its quite porn but none the worse for it although I am quite filthy nowadays and DH found it scandalous, prude)Those books really are godawful though. There is more in the TV version that the books which is odd as is usually the other way round.Vinnie who used to be in Home and Away is in TrueBlood. He looks yum.

TheGreatScootini · 07/10/2009 10:20

My car has only got one working windscreen wiper and needs 4 new tyres.I left the sun roof open last week in the hope someone would nick it.They didnt.
I am thinking of doing that scrappage thing and getting a new one.I really want a new Fiat 500 but DH points out that a)we are broke, b)the girls prob wont fit in the back.

I am test driving one on Saturday.

Tillyscoutsmum · 07/10/2009 10:22

Lucas is lovely . Just looked at PP thread but can't really help. The thing we went to was just Peppa & George standing on a stage in the middle of a shopping centre and loads of dc's queueing to have their pic taken with them. They didn't do anything as such and there was no merchandise to buy (apart from a photo of Tils looking ever so slightly terrified !)

Pinkjenny · 07/10/2009 10:37

Aah, I see.

I want an Audi Q7. In white. I still believe I can have a lifestyle akin to those Super Sweet 16 kids on MTV. Or perhaps The Hills. Dh thinks I am insane.

Tillyscoutsmum · 07/10/2009 10:40

£40 ?!! Hope she enjoys it. I suspect the ones we saw were second rates ones - not the most impressive costumes I've ever seen

Pinkjenny · 07/10/2009 10:45

She'd better bloody enjoy it. And if it is indeed crap as others are suggesting, I shall be writing a strongly worded letter to my local MP.

GhostWriter · 07/10/2009 10:52

There are pigs scattered liberally about the place in Norfolk. You can look at them for free Pink. My brother has a green dinosaur tattooed on his leg, apparently that's something to do with peppa pig. I've never seen the programme.

This is a nice car but needs repainting with hippy flowers.

I like this a lot

largeginandtonic · 07/10/2009 11:02

Scooooooooot

I named this thread for you.

I am so sorry to hear about fil, what a terrible shock for poor dh. Strokes are such variable beasts, no one really knows if there will be recovery or not do they? No definitive answers make it all the more hard to cope with.

I can't believe you are still ill! Any closer to finding out what it is?

I have not read Twilight but am easily spooked so not brave enough. I read Salems Lot when i was about 15 and it has put me off vampires for life. Tapping on the windows >

We must meet up again soon, it has been ages. SOH and i are off to Naorobi for Xmas, we decided the other night.

Is that ok TMAM? Do yoiu have a new Margaret yet? I keep forgetting to ask.

Ludo and Hoggle are NOT the same. Ludovick is a very cute name.

Bluebell (not official yet Tills) is not walking she is falling. She just thinks she can walk. I assume she has been checking out the other children and thinks one day she will turn round and just walk as if by magic. I say again MUPPET.

Where is MKG? I thought about her the other day. Bluebell is wearing the very cute outfit she was bought by her. She is also in the one you sent down SOH and AM's little dress too. Very sweet.

Geordie nice pics I want to get married (renew vows) in the Little White Chapel in Vagas. All welcome

The lovely hotel i stayed in when i won Mum of the Year has just emailed me. I nearly died at the prices for a Winter break!

We have moved on from Peppa Pig, B is now obsessed with Dora and Diego. I am not sure what is worse tbh.

Pink lovely name choice. Lucas and Alexa aaaahhhhhhh

Scooooot lovey to have you back.

There have been babies while you have been gone and some major ructions with DP's being unreasonable re climbing frames. Stil wont put it up the barsteward!

Am so sorry about your FIL awful.

Pink do the peppa we are taking Archie to see Hi5 next month the child is utterly obsessed but whenever DP and I sing along he shouts at us to stop and if we dare dance well the tantrum is not fun. Lord knows what it will be like at the show as we will sing and dance. Evil parents must start embarrising them at an early age.

Have just been to a Boden clearance thingy what a load of stuff n nonsense. Loads of women with I kid you not ikea bags full to the brim I found nothing it was all girly stuff and left over jazzy shirts and horrible flowery tankinis. I dont think I am cut out for baragin hunting. Will stick to topshop from now on.

Pinkjenny · 07/10/2009 11:11

I used to cry if my mum sang or danced. A just refuses to make eye contact with me, hoping I'll just go away.

I can't bear sales of any description. All that pushing and shoving for a load of crap that no one wanted.

TheGreatScootini · 07/10/2009 12:01

I want to take Lil to Hi5!I wonder is it all sold out?

We took both girls to Going on a Bear hunt at the theatre which they really enjoyed but I got the alimighty hump when during the 'river' section the audience got squirted at very short range with water pistols. As you all know my problems with frizzy hair you can im sure all picture the way I looked for the rest of the day in London as the front of my hair got ruddy drenched.

Maybe some kind of pre Christmas meet up is in order?I havent see you Gin since Mae and B were about 9 months or something?
They think my stomach ishoos are down to stress.Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about any bits of my life that I find stressy so Im kind of stuck with it I guess. It did get a bit better for a while but then came back late summer.I just need to chillax

I am starving but my balance is off so cant stand up to make anything for longer than about 4 minutes.I really fancy pancakes for some reason.I wonder if could do them in stages?

AprilMeadow · 07/10/2009 12:13

YAY Scoot is back!!!! and Pink

Sorry to hear about your FIL, your work stress and the fact that you are still poorly

Lucy still not right, has cried/screamed more in the last 36hrs than she has in the 18 days she has been here although it didnt disturb her sleep which is good.

SKYTVADDICT · 07/10/2009 13:50

Hi all and Scoot welcome back - I love Twilight and sorry to hear about your FIL. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Poor Lucy - gift in hand - just not in post yet

PJ - I love the name Lucas - Tils I like all your choices.

Still haven't had DD2s results from urine test and apparently it still stings and burns and her tummy hurts a bit but anitbiotics all gone!

I voted Jam - can't you get a man in to put it up when he is out!!

SKYTVADDICT · 07/10/2009 13:51

Whoops just PMSL at what I just posted to Jam! I obviously meant the swing thing!

MmeJaffaB · 07/10/2009 16:48

Coucou mes amies....

Scooooooooooot & Pinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnk Whooop, feeling complete!

So sorry to read about FIL Scoot. I'll send dh over to sort the curtain pole out, he'll come with some petite ceours and only needs feeding once a day!

Lucas is perfect PJ.

AM....give that little Lucy extra gin snuggles, hope she gets better soon.

Maddie is just fine, bone healing fab, plastered for another 2 weeks but school tomorrow, TFFT!!! shame, I'll miss her [lies badly]

Tonights the night, me, nervous about teaching? Nah, it'll be a doddle!

largeginandtonic · 07/10/2009 18:43

Good luck Mrsjb, you will be fabulous

How is the house Sky? Poor old dd as a parent with mucho experience in little girls with wee infections i say pester or results aand go back to your GP tomorrow. Kidney pain is so debilitating.

DD's psychologist came this evening and said she is much improved. Probably because i am I talked to her about the whole Turner's fertility issue and she has made me see i need to tell her sooner rather than later. I am trying to be calm

Dh making me a cocktail, Golden Dawn or something

OP posts:
TheGreatScootini · 07/10/2009 20:42

Bonsoir. What are you teaching Mrs JB?!
How welcome Mr JB would be with his petis couer and his curtain pole abilities. My own Dear dh is rubbish at DIY and anyway is STILL at work.I meanwhile am NOT looking at the huge gap in my wall and NOT noticing all the neighbours nebbing in

That'll be a toughie gin.Oddly enough ive a service user with Turners and have just had to talk to her about that fact she cant have a baby.No one had ever discussed her condition with her.It was horrid tbh, we both ended up sobbing, her for obvious reasons and me because ive no prefessional detachment and hate seeing someone so upset.Sorry im not helping am I?But what im trying to say is that she is 24 and maybe it would've been better for her to have known from an early age and with some kind of amazing support (which you will be able to give DD of course) rather than from someone who just works where she lives and when she naturally has started to feel broody.Am I making sense? I guess have a good think about what you are going to say beforehand and make sure you have some lovely Mother daughter time around the time you tell her.Sending you both a lovely big hug.

I have a gift for Lucy too.But I no longer have your address April..can you email it or text it me..(I have lost my address book)

Thats my girl SKY..We'll convert them all yet!I have watched the New Moon trailer and Meet Jacob Black internet download today about 12 times.OMG I CANNOT wait until it comes out!!Have you moved?

Whats the deal with the climbing frame Jammy?
Are you seeing Hi 5 in Hammersmith?

TheGreatScootini · 07/10/2009 21:02

Squee!Gossip Girl season 3!!!!

ducks as SOH chucks something at her and tells her to grow up and get a life

SKYTVADDICT · 07/10/2009 21:08

Oh Scoot - forgot to say DD1 says she would be a good stand in for your nephew if he can't make it

DD2 still has a pain in the right hand side of her tummy and the urine test was negative - got another appt tomorrow at 6.50! If it is appendix though we will just have to watch and wait and it could grumble for ages.

It will be tought LG&T but you are such a good mum I am sure you will get through it together x

Hope the teaching goes ok Mrs JB

Just off to cry some more at the Pride of Britain Awards

MmeJaffaB · 07/10/2009 21:46

Basket weaving scoot! Tis a mad sport ya know.

Went well, fortunately Sylvie did the talking. I did the demos and helped around, was fun, class are lovely and I didn't make any mistakes.

Lg&t, you can do this my lovely, find some girlie time. I know it is a "big" thing but maybe it would be easier for her if it was kind of a brought into convo chat. Sew the seed as they say and then give her time to reflect and then ask the questions she'll have. I know it won't be easy for you though so I'm sending some bon courage. Bizz

GhostWriter · 07/10/2009 22:15

MmeJaffaB teaches adult sex ed. Tonight's fetish was cowboys.

LG&T, remember this is her normality. She knows no different. You are not taking anything away from her, you are just presenting different opportunities and a reality that is different to yours. Simple, basic info at first. Let her ask questions. This is not a 'you can't have children talk', she can, she just has to do it a different way if she even wants to.

I know you're breaking a million different ways inside over this. I spent Saturday night with a friend who can't have children naturally and her two adopted children. You know, I can't bring myself to feel sorry for her. She doesn't need or want it. I feel like I'm doing her a disservice even referring to them as adopted. They're just her children. Oh lovey, we'll talk it over in Nairobi.

Our curtain rail has also fallen off the wall...

Scoot, you're such a girl. You watch strange tv, listen to odd music and think David Cameron is "nice". I couldn't write a more bizarre person if I tried. But you're so lovely with it. Please don't vote Tory, you'll just feel dirty afterwards.

Sky you sound much happier. Are you? Be honest.

Secret Santa... TMAM?

MmeJaffaB · 07/10/2009 22:35

By Gee they loved the lasoo part! Yeee Haaa ride em cowboy!

elkiedee · 08/10/2009 09:20

Scoot, great to see you back. The Twilight books don't appeal to me at all but I've recorded True Blood as the Charlaine Harris books which it is based on are perhaps the only books dp and I both quite like. I don't know if you've come across the Anita Blake books - I got the first few for dp because I thought they might appeal and someone used to quote on from them on an email list, they sounded funny. I read the first and was bored by it, but dp gets the new ones as they're published - the author is Laurell K Hamilton.

Hi to GM, whose DS is Danny's birthday twin.
