We're also in the 6-12, 9-12 and 12-18s Star. I put M in a 12-18 Monsoon dress yesterday and it was absolutely enormous! But today she is in a Gap 12-18 months dress & leggings and they fit fine.

Myjob - I am looking forward to when clothes are in whole years. At the moment M is in between sizes so it's such a pain trying to find her something to wear, especially in this changeable weather.

star6 · 28/09/2009 14:21

has anyone see this???

Ridiculous

It is stupid. What's stupider is the people who turned those women in... people help each other out. That shouldn't be a crime. I, as the mom of Q should be able to choose whomever I feel is the safest person for Q to be with - that's MY private decision for MY child. Not the government's decision. If it were a stranger - I can see the point, but a close friend? Come on.

CSWS - It's "Make-Over" week!!!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/09/2009 21:09

Just starting masterchef mm, then will watch half an hour or so behind, so don't give anything away before 10:30 at the earliest!

50ftQueenie · 28/09/2009 21:20

Don't worry CSWS, my lips are sealed.....

RachieW · 28/09/2009 21:46

Just popping into say hi. What is makeover week MM? Am nosey! Depending on the age you teach there is an element of yuck. Have already dealt with poos and wet pants and it's only week 3. Not had sick yet, but have had that in previous years along and with lots of farting. The good outweighs the bad though. I really couldn't be a policewoman, particulary on a horse as I don't like them- they scare me. I think being a PC must be really soul destroying these days and I'm a little bit suspicious of the darkside of the law but that's my socialist dad's fault

Well have made 3 dinners tonight, J's, mine & dh's and a fish pie for tomo. Just typed up some planning that should have been done last week so am exhausted. J has had another good day at Nursery so things could really be looking up there.

Oh and J is also in 6-9 clothes and some 9-12 but most of his 9-12 are way too big still.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/09/2009 21:55

It's on America's Next Top Model Rachie!

pepperrabbit · 28/09/2009 22:14

See, I try to catch up then got distracted over to fb to read CSWS "friend" offering her advice . I agree with Rachie about where to stick the bunny!
To try to join in - no idea what J weighs but she's firmly in 6-9m clothes, she's got some 9-12m sleepysuits and when she crawls in them they trail behind her and she gets her legs stuck up by her tummy Looks like the baby in the Simpsons
If you want to feel better about accidentally injuring children, DS1 did that thing where they shut themselves in a room cos they're playing with the door (crawling) I didn't realise, try to open the door and his finger was underneath. He has one nail that STILL doesn't grow properly - this was maybe 4 & half years ago
I feel guilty EVERY time I cut his nails...
Busy here, feel slightly more in control of my life now I'm working again. I'm just not cut out to be SAHM 24/7 which sounds terrible but even DH has said how much happier I seem. DD loves nursery, but DS2 is there as well which has to help.
Am thinking of booking DH in for a snip - anyone else persuaded their DH to go down this route (he seems nervous ...)

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/09/2009 22:20

Seen it mm, but bedtime now. Am shattered after being up too much with ds and then an early start with dd. Teeth def bothering him at night time - been up to give him nurofen and teething gel already tonight.

RachieW · 28/09/2009 22:58

Hi Pepper! Glad you are feeling better being back at work and good news about dd loving nursery. Not booking my dh in for the slip as J is our first and hopefully not our last

CSWS- Sleep well. Have watched ANTM sometimes but then forget it's on so never really got into it.

Have just ordered some b'day presents for J. Really hard to know what to get him as he will get loads from the family. We've brought a drum, a xylophone , some crayons and a copy of the Milkshake Rocks cd as he loves the songs. Feel a bit mean as they aren't major presents but dh and I are thinking about waiting to see what he gets and then getting some bits after. I've told a few people different things, like bath toys, a brio first trainset. My parents are getting a swing and PIL a slide. Is it bad to wait and see and then maybe not get anything more? I'm just aware that he has so much stuff and will get lots so don't want to get loads from us and then things don't get played with. Suppose he will have no idea who gets what yet so I shouldn't worry? Just feel bad as he is my pfb and it his first b'day but my rational head says don't get lots.

Right off to bed as am overtired and wittering!

RachieW · 28/09/2009 22:59

Slip? Hope not they might cut the wrong parts! SNip of course

Honeymoonmummy · 29/09/2009 00:25

Hey all, just quickly checking in to mark my position. Not had a great few days with the PND, I guess to be expected when changing AD's, plus my knees have started hurting again so no more exercise again for a bit...it's interesting tho as I didn't know before whether it was the physio or the AD's which cured my knees...guess I know now. I'm not sure what that means for my long-term prognosis of how long I'll be on the bloody things...

I've booked in to see a few nurseries with DH tomorrow, luckily most of them have spaces, except one which we really love the look of, it's based on a working farm but they have no spaces until April and it's a bit out of our way. DH is really insistent we're not going to the booked place so we may well lose our £50 deposit but hey ho...

Also going to the library for "storytime" tomorrow morning and popping into the fancy dress shop in town for a costume for Poppy (and possibly also ourselves )

Honeymoonmummy · 29/09/2009 00:28

Oh and yet more new pics on FB from when we went away and I got pampered the other week.

i'm off to bed now, hopefully will sleep, night all.

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/09/2009 09:45

That sounds plenty rachie - he really won't have a clue. You can work out what else you think he'd like after his birthday and get it for Christmas instead (get some stuff to grow into as well - that's the downside of b'day and Christmas not that far apart, as you suddenly end up mid way through the year wanting some older stuff).

You would think that being asleep by 11pm would have least earned me a total 6 hours sleep wouldn't you, but I only got 5.5, as ds up for bloody ages at 1am (ended up with nurofen, teething gel and calpol), and then up again at 6:02, which ended up being the start of the day as dd came down 10 mins later.
Am therefore still exhausted.

hi all... the big news in our house is that Emma is taking independant steps.. yay! up to five or six sometimes...

anyway.... i am going to start knitting again - i haven't done any for about 6 months and my fingers are twitching! myjob you have inspired me. I found a pattern that might interest you: legwarmies for when super fast growing naomi grows out of the legwarmers you bought her!!

haven't got too much time to round up properly, sorry... but I am trying to keep up with everyone. CSWS i couldn't resist going and checking your FB stuff... how hurtful and unnecessary your 'friend' was, removing her is the best thing all round.

Rachie, good to hear your return to work is going well. I think i feel the same as you re the work/full time mum thing... the fact that nursery is going well will be really helping with that too.

Emma is in 9-12 and some 12-18. She doesn't weigh masses (just under 23lbs) but she's tall so we need the length for her. Not surprising as i am 5'11" and DH is 6'3" .

KSal · 29/09/2009 11:12

Oh whoops.. i mixed up pepperabbit and Rachie... sorry!!!

I meant pepperabbit... doh
