arghhh happy birthday for yesterday Joe!

Emma is next!!

star6 · 11/09/2009 09:00

Happy Birthday Joe (yesterday)!!

Q is starting to walk faster - almost a run. It's quite cute - only when he really wants something. He can now get back up and carry on walking with very little effort when he trips, which is lovely. DH got over excited and tried to have him walk to the park yesterday (usually 15 min pushchair journey)... he said it took 1 hour

50ftQueenie · 11/09/2009 09:05

Wow Star. Q did well to get that far! DS wouldn't walk that far when he was 2. He constantly demanded to be picked up.

I have ordered some very un-exciting bits for M's birthday. I got the Stokke footmuff in orange to clash with the green push chair. M will be so excited .

star6 · 11/09/2009 09:21

50ft - I'm SURE DH picked him up and carried him for some of the way... he tends to exaggerate! I'm guessing he carried him, let him down, carried him, let him down...etc... he said he kept wandering off into people's gardens to check things out

star6 · 11/09/2009 09:22

oh, and I love orange!! Sounds gorgeous!
I can't wait for Q to demand to be picked up. At the moment, he always wants to get down

KSal · 11/09/2009 09:25

She will appreciate it when she looks back at her baby photos when she's older 50ftMM!! (I am doing a gradual name changover) she sounds like a very stylishly dressed young lady.
Emma, on the other hand, gets dressed by her dad in the mornings and its a little bit.. erm... interesting.

that's amazing walking Star! I have set emma the performance target of taking her first independent steps by her first birthday- it doesn't look like she going to make it

(I am kidding about performance targets by the way... kinda... pushy parent? moi? tries to look innocent

50ftQueenie · 11/09/2009 09:37

KSal - I have a feeling that M will not get a very good grade at her 1st birthday performance review either. I have set her the target of walking by her 1st birthday and she is going to fall way short. I am going to have to put her on some sort of development contract before I start competence proceedings. DH also has an interesting taste in clothes for both DC. DS is often very mismatched, only he has started to notice this...... DH is rather, well, slobby on occasion and this morning fell out o bed, put on some slouchy trousers and started to put his shoes on to take DS to go to school. DS was really embarrassed so I had to ask DH to get changed. Poor ds, poor dh!

Star - It's this one. I was going to get a custom one but the split leg thing made it very pricy. Oh and when Q does want to be picked up, you will really want him to walk as it is bound to be right at the time he gets too heavy to carry.

Can you all have a look at these. If you need to put in the user name and password they are: michelle_simpson and uc1 kq1. I need your opinion of which ones to get......

KSal · 11/09/2009 09:59

ok my vote is for 2. M07. I also think the one with your DH in is lovely (not in a CSWS way tho )

(i voted by the way!!)

50ftQueenie · 11/09/2009 10:03

Thank you for the vote and hee hee at not in a CSWS way. I really love that one too and also M09 as that is a very 'Martha' face. She does it all the time! I was thinking I would get M07, M09 and the one with DH.

I was seriously impressed with the prices Pistachio. I want her to do some photos of ds and M together before M gets too old.

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/09/2009 10:19

I get taken to a 'gallery empty' page, so I tried to login, and it says that the log in info isn't correct .

50ft, 07 for me too. Does Martha give you those looks all the time. What have you done to offend her Maybe it is the thought of being wheeled around looking like an orange that has done it.
Ksal I like the idea of performance targets. Will they work on DH as well? I am hopeing that W will be walking by his 1st b'day. He is happy to walk with someone holding his hands and with his walker. But when he lets go of things he looks really surprised then sits down quick fast.
OOps forgot a friend was coming round. Bye

star6 · 11/09/2009 20:06

Ok. I'm starting to take sertraline now Was feeling a bit out of my head anxious. DH doesn't know, though. My best friend does, she convinced me to go to the gp last week. sorry to dump this on you. Probably not what you were expecting!

star6 · 11/09/2009 20:06

DH thinks PND is a made up thing that is "in my head". I actually woke up every morning last week and thought that someone else would be better off taking care of my baby I love him to bits, but just feel like a crap mom. He doesn't get happy to see me when I am with him but squeals with delight at the sound or sight of DH and I just feel like I'm making mistakes ALL THE TIME. My best friend is fantastic, and told me to get the pill because she's noticed I've not been myself lately...I've already screwed it up - forgot 2 days in a row, so starting over basically and haven't taken effect yet.
