Hi,

I am an 'older' first time mum (my son was born in January) and I would love to chat to other new mums in their 30s and 40s.

There's a thread called "older mums 40 plus" on the meet-ups section. Lots of wrinklies on there.

i am classed as an older mum - first babe at 34 and second late last year at 36.

oh no does that mean I am one too??? Never thought of myself as old before!

mummytummy · 17/05/2005 22:37

Oooh - does that mean I'm a young mum - 1st babe aged 32 and 2nd aged 34?!! Yippeeeeeee

eidsvold · 18/05/2005 06:47

janeybops - I never thought and still don't think of myself as an older mum - despite the fact a no of high school students that I taught during both pregnancies had mums and grans younger than me

only one silly midwife who called me a geriatric mother ?!?! (looks around for zimmerframe) but I am really only 25 .....

hotmama · 18/05/2005 08:38

Hiya girls! I am now 38 but was 37 when dd was born last Oct.

Bizarrely, I think you are a geriatric mother in medical terms if you are having a baby after 25 - I must be counted as decrepit then!
