33 mins. H is doing better than E today. She got bored after 10 minutes of the teletubbies and decided to kick off just as my roast dinner arrived. Went in high chair with daddy and boys while they ate for another 10 minutes then bored again - now making 'give me my Mommy or I'm gonna scream the house down sounds'.

To be fair, she is never normally like this though - its just cos she's poorly. Just stuffing some arctic roll down me neck then off to feed her and hope she'll fall asleep.

Put the wedge in her crib last night, which helped her breathe a bit until she managed to get herself stuck upside down with her feet up the slope over and over again (despite being in a sleep positioner as well). Snuffle babe is helping a bit too.

Blimey thats a mobile baby! Hats is going nowhere at the mo. Probably because she is either in someones arms or sleeping in the crook of my arm in bed. It would not be my hoice!

Hope E settles better this eve Moose.

Finally the sun has come out.... just walked up the lane with OH and LO (I'll start calling them that to their faces one of these days!) to get some fresh air because it has basically pee-ed it down all weekend.

hkz great that you're coming over this way - we are in Scotland on the weekend of the 19th for a wedding but will def be back by the latter half of the week, so a meet-up in Hay would be lovely! Also, I was at Green Man 2 and 3 years ago, loved the first time (only 5,000 people) but second time already felt more crowded. To be fair, I am hopeless at camping, but my Mum is in Abergavenny so we escaped there for showers etc.

tree me and OH got pg very quickly too - not exactly planned but not exactly unplanned either! Luckily it seems to have been a good decision and getting to know each other at the same time as having LO has been an exciting time. We are very loved up! But sometimes miss having that kind of rock solid, 'took for granted' relationship. Also sometimes worry that he fell in love with a relatively glam career girl, and now I am a country mama wearing the same pair of jeans every day!

chef amazed at potty training. Is it hopeless for boys? I do notice him go quiet just before he pees, and def know when he is about to poo as he turns bright red and grunts!

ray lucky you with E's sleeping, and in the day too! I'm going to start expressing tonight... keep thinking of a fun night out in London as a reward!

tink enjoy your pizza!

Only joking

When I did it I needed 1 A and 2 B's at Alevel to include Science. But I was a school leaver so bound to be different for us older folk. Plus there were only 400 places in the UK at that time to do degree level.

Will research for you, hang on....

PatTheHammer · 17/05/2009 21:13

Evening ladies,
Just about to watch Lost finale (have held off asking chef what happens since shes already seen it!). Journey back good and the BBQ was more of an inside type BBQ thing with my dad cooking the meat and us all hanging out inside! Lovely that all 4 of my mums DGC were together for the first time, DD found it hugely exciting .

Tree- well done to H for a bit of kip in the Amby! I would definately doze for hours in there if I was a tiny baby

Dog- can't believe you didn't manage your night out, sounds like you weren't too bothered though! I think they are not contagious 5 days after the last spot or something, not sure you have to wait for them to all fully scab.

Lenni Have a fab time at Centre parcs, I am very it looks fab there!

Moose for the tree branch and hope your LO's cold clears up soon. I hate them all snotty, we have found snuffle babe and wedges useful in the past too. Zach also very mobile, managed to do a complete 360 on his changing mat early evening kickabout today just by rolling and pushing his legs down . Was hoping he wouldn't move AT ALL till at least 7 or 8 months, thats why I've made him so fat!

Tink glad you had nice evening and enjoyed more shopping .

Anyway, Lost time!

Ray Washbrooks Farm, thats the ticket! Yeah, I loved it and DD thought it was fab. Even though we are now about 45mins away at my mums I will deffo take Zach there when he's a bit bigger

treedelivery · 17/05/2009 21:19

Dog - www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/details/Default.aspx?Id=1943 is usefull. The real thing you need to know is what do the place you want to sudy at want from you.

The lead lecturer at the uni would be ver happy to email you with advice I am sure, or even meet for a sounding out session.

What do you think of it, sounds feasable? I think money os what holds beck many many mums who want to train.

treedelivery · 17/05/2009 21:21

400 actual spaces that is, not 400 actual providers! If only. There is alot of competition still, but not as fierce as it was.

i dunno, you take your eye off this thread for two seconds and suddenly there's countless new pages of chat...

pat, i am going to be forty later this year so you are a mere stripling in my eyes. am too old for most of the music you people are discussing, even . festivals - am considering the electric picnic later this year, reasonably child friendly. but there is the whole camping aspect of it, and that would be camping with hardly anything to drink... not sure about that, now!

chef - let us know how the potty training goes - i was thinking about doing that early training with c, but she doesn't really signal her intentions that clearly (about anything) and i'm not sure i have the fortitude to spend so much time in the company of a potty...

tree - hope h is about to develop a habit of the sleeping in the amby for you. will be sleep training here the week after next (going away and then vaccinating first)as the small girl is now four months. seriously, four months!

moose, wow! how wriggly is that?

lenni - have a lovely time at centreparcs and congrats on surviving the party .

tink, is tonight your evening out? am going out tomorrow night (breeders gig)! like a real person!

treedelivery · 17/05/2009 21:30

This is where I am not doing an MA anytime --soon- [have managed a module or so] and gives you an insight into the training. But the school of healthcare has pdf's which will have beter info on.

tldynamic.leeds.ac.uk/ugcoursefinder/2006/prospectus3SQL.asp?prog_id=152

I'd say they would expect [but also offer advice on] you would have sat in on some parentcraft or something, or shown evidence of study already, knowledge of the big doh reports etc.

treedelivery · 17/05/2009 21:36

www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/details/Default.aspx?Id=89 here refers to bursaries and is the career site that wouldn't work in my first link.

Def email a tutor, they may know ways and means of getting on courses, etc. Plus they will remember you and respect the lengths you go to to get on a course, which is valuable at interview stage.
