Off to watch telly for a bit then bed. Am getting a bit excited now

Night all!

oopsahotcrossbunny · 02/04/2009 22:47

Evening all

Had a good day out and have not long been home - DD slept all the way home and is now hacking away upstairs like a smoker. Lovely clients brought DD a lovely blanket from a chocolate factory it's all fluffy and soft and came with 2 boxes of choccies for me!

VG pleased today went off okay

Sazzles - my mum used to dress my brother and I similarly - red checked dress for me and red checked shirt for him!

All this kitchen talk is making me I have to wait until we have the money to do ours.

I would love to have positive news for you all but no such luck! We have been referred back to the fertility clinic again and now sit on the waiting bus until we get an appointment (about 16weeks wait ) I sniffed a new born yesterday and it made my heart melt and my ovaries clap!

Dh watching the catch up of eastenders - I am trying to ignore it, a whole load of cr*p!

TS - please don't go over the edge we need you. Fingers crossed all things are going to plan.

TwilightSurfer · 02/04/2009 23:51

I've just completed Wednesday's posts...and a nap.

Buckets I'm just guessing but I do believe you and I are cycle buddies. Did AF start for you today? Your posts sound very much like me this week. My AF arrived today.

On that note I'm glad she arrived today and not Saturday mid-party.

Sibh my aunt has that Menr-thing. I'm really worried about you and your condition. It was nice to hear that buzzing disappeared.

Off to read today's posts now....

TwilightSurfer · 03/04/2009 00:16

Right, Thursday properly caught up.

Buckets I like the idea of open cabinets. I considered doing that. It would be cheaper than having the whole thing refaced. I might ponder that for a while. Your story about your ds made my heart race too. Glad he thought to ask. Smart boy.

Sazzles you KNOW I dress mine alike at times so don't find it strange at all. Oh and I wished I'd taped them. However, I'm surprised you couldn't hear them too. It's not like they were controlling their VOLUME. LOL

Cyteen that pic or you and your db is too cute.

Oops would you like my old box of baby dust. I was about to toss in the bin but if you want it I'll post it you asap. {{{HUGS}}}

Is Hotter 30 yet? I'm think it is Friday now. Shall post and see.

TwilightSurfer · 03/04/2009 00:17

Tis Friday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOTTER!!

TwilightSurfer · 03/04/2009 00:33

ME ME ME POST
feel free to ignore......

Reunion prep took a turn for the worst Monday after the party chair admitted to a slight oversight. She thought she upgrade our venue from $1600US to $2000US (these are numbers before taxes and service fees). I'm the treasurer and spearheading the rsvps so I could see the $2000US being doable but tight. Monday she shows up at our evening meeting and explained she made a slight oversight; the price was not $2000US but $3000US. I have only collected $2770US with expectation of only collecting $300US more. WTF! I will skip ahead 48 hours and say she has put her credit card up for the overage and we are praying our crowd drinks like a pack of sailors to make up the price difference.

Wednesday was lovely here too. I spent a good 4 hours soaking up rays and downing carrot juice. My naturally cautious manner caused me to return from the beach without the proper sunkissed look so I'm trying to make it up quickly before the party. Thankfully the new blond locks gives me the illusion of tanness.

Reese is full throttle upward now. She only wants to be on her feet. She's climbing up on EVERYTHING and falling over CONSTANTLY. Today she hit the hardwoods so hard I thought I might have to take her to the ER. A little cuddle, some tylenol and a nap made it all better. The bump is still present but oh well.

Reese is also eating more solids each day too. I feel good about this.

I think I mentioned it a few posts back, AF arrived this morning so there's an end in sight to all my bloating, moodiness and basically nutzo behaviour. The count down is on to my hormone test...April 24th!! Balance is not far away!!!!!!

I'm sure there's more to tell but my mind is all a clutter with party planner. I can't believe I've spent this much time away from my cell phone, my email and my facebook. Seems strange.

That said. I will probably be AWOL again for a few days. The party is Saturday. Feel free to watch FB for pictures being posted in real time. I promise to catch up again on the flip side.

{{{{HUGS}}}}} to all.
Night

Eggspectant · 03/04/2009 05:47

TS good luck for tomorrow night. I'm sure if it's something you've had a hand in it will run like clockwork but do remember to try and enjoy yourself as well

HP Happy Birthday

Buckets congrats to Mr Buckets on the new job.

On kitchens we completed extension and new kitchen fit to our house in London then six months later moved to Singapore. I miss my new kitchen and dishwasher - hoping the tenants appreciate it!

HP HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning!

just about caught up, phew.

not got long though, need to get the dc's breakfasts soon.

holidays not going as bad as i feared. one week in and that's gone fast! dd being pretty good and is loving being at home with ds.

ts good luck for tomorrow night.

Kitchens: ours is ok but pretty dull. not at all modern, just as it was when we moved in. I have a feeling that when we go the next vicar's family will get all new kitchen and bathrooms cos these have been in since about 1997 i think so by the time we go it'll be going on 15-20 years i guess

buckets am always paranoid about smelly house, now am even more so after your extractor fan news. eeek. daren't ask anyone to have a sniff whent they walk in the door in case i don't like what they say

Miamla · 03/04/2009 08:38

albs i know you haven't asked but your house honestly doesn't smell, at all! And if it did i would have just failed to comment

Steaknife · 03/04/2009 08:39

Only on page 18 - but Sazzles allez vous missis, not big on frogslegs myself - dont even taste much like chicken

Woohoo Mr Buckets

Miamla · 03/04/2009 08:39

nobody's got breakfast sorted this morning? gah! going to have to do my own but in the meantime here's some entertainment for you
The funniest bit for me was the bemused look on DS's face whilst he was watching it!

Miamla · 03/04/2009 08:47

VG indeed you are Does she know you're not really a hairy trucker yet? I'm in the process of getting DS's passport sorted so watch this space.. you may have another visitor in a few weeks or so

ooh, i'm so in love with my little boy this morning. we had a horrible night but he's all smiles and keeps bringing odd socks over to me. I knew he had a secret stash somewhere because there sure aren't any pairs in his drawer!

and second ooh... DP has said this morning that he does want another baby Not for another year but still

Miamla · 03/04/2009 08:47

morning steaky

Steaknife · 03/04/2009 08:52

Morning all sorry about not providing breakfast, I can offer banana scraped off the floor. Maybe not then.

Terrible night on WEdnesday from both DH and baby - won't go into it but it meritted a namechange rant yesterday morning.

I spoke to a RL friend as I often wonder how objective I can be. She decided I was 7/10 stubborn offset by being fair, though rather a little too much yes-but.
We also decided I was 12/10 for planning and always being right

She then text yesterday to suggest a meet up.

Last night much better, from all of the Steaky clan.

DH decided that we might be able to afford for me and lil one to come to UK at the end of May, tis Grandpa Steaks 70th. MAinly so he can get a week of sleep.

House painting going well, though DH trying to persuade me that the orange hallway might be turned into a kitch haven - he's talking about brown stripes down the wall.
Now I like a hint of kitch, but I actually lived though the 70s and brown and orange home decor so am rather anti it.

Hopefully moving tomorrow so I am mning while baby cries packing while baby sleeps.

Happy Birthday HP Cyteen - rockin the English seaside look there with your bro

Steaknife · 03/04/2009 08:58

Cyteen - just clicked your Dead Kennedys link - had to tell you my exp used to hang out with the DKs and was hanging out in the studio when they recorded strange fruit (or whatever it is called) and claims that he actually drummed on the album.

Anyone ever tried to explain the Smiths to a Frenchman - you mostly get a face, specialy if you start with Girlfriend in a Coma.

oopsahotcrossbunny · 03/04/2009 08:59

Moring all

WE HAVE HAD SLEEP she only woke at her regular 2.30 then at 6 when I fed her and put her back to bed then she woke singing at 8. I feel like a new wonman.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HP** have a wonderful day and eat loads of cake.

hotcrosspotter · 03/04/2009 09:37

Morning you young whippersnappers thanks for the birthday wishes, and cake, yum.

Lovely day so far apart from panic as washing machine wouldn't drain - clogged with DS solid poo ewww. Have managed to clear it without resorting to coathangers up the outlet pipe, phew. Only got two clean nappies left, thank flip for fast-drying fluffles

Fecking freezing here this morning , off out for a nice walk with hats and scarves I think.

See you all later!

LoveBuckets · 03/04/2009 09:43

Happy birthday Hotter!

TS LOL no, I did think hormones but I'm a week after you. I should be about to enter the nutzoid zone ...now!

Sazzles LOL at you and TS's DHs getting all soppy under the influence.

Miamla There is a pic of my platerack on my FB profile actually! I always think the best bit about mobile babies is the things they bring you, what they think you might be interested in LOL. Kurt was definitely showing proper crawly moves yesterday, bum right up in the air. Good news on baby front - how about starting at Xmas? That's when I'm totally putting my trust in DH's vasectomy so will no doubt be pg by new year. Cannot bear the idea of 2 under 2 again!

VG I know what you mean, I had glossy wipeclean cupboards at my old house and have missed them. But just lately I've noticed how well I've coped with the shelves - that I've developed shelf-managing skills LOL. It's made me strip down to only things I actually use so nothing gathers dust for long.

LoveBuckets · 03/04/2009 09:45

Steaky Fingers crossed moving gives your DH a reality check and he 'comes home' to you.

CaptainCaveman · 03/04/2009 10:01

happy birthday hotpot Oliver and I hope you have a marvellous day!

steaky am loving the sound of your psychedelic paintwork

buckets O was waking 3 times a night - going about 2 hours between feeds! . Last night was better, hooray!! He fed at midnight, then 4, then 6.30. He is currently lying in his cot looking at me and being very cute

Loads of hidying and cleaning to do today, plus cat off to vet for blood tests (£100 ) for hyperthyroidism. Poor fella.

Miamla · 03/04/2009 10:34

CC when are you going to start the milk refusal thing during the night or have you changed your mind?

I really don't know what to do with DS and his sleep. albs helped by asking what i actually want to happen. i've been thinking and sleeping for longer periods during the night is my aim. Do you reckon this is possible while we're co-sleeping? I'm guessing not as he has easy access to milk but then again, if he can smell that i'm near perhaps he might sleep for longer. hmm, maybe i'll start a thread in 'sleep'! I love co-sleeping. i love being able to watch him while he's sleeping so this isn't something i want to change but then again, he's already taking up a fair chunk of our bed! it really is a case of the little one says roll over and DP falls out of bed! (one side of the bed is against the wall, DS on this side, me in the middle and DP literally on the edge!)

sorry for brain dump! off to get some porridge now DS is finally having a nap!

ooh, one thing i would like is for DS to be able to self-settle so any thoughts on that gratefully received!
