Finally found the time to come on and post!
Stefka - are your headaches caused by the computer? Have you had an eye test done, might be that?
Muppet - aww at Ollie at Legoland - did he enjoy himself? Has dh been off work this week with the tube strike? Good luck with the exam.
Dal - yes we've got a lock of hair tied up in a plastic bag. Need to do something a bit more interesting with it... at Dylan emptying your purse - that's one of Anya's favourite pasttimes.
Inzi - at going to Asda with hairclips in. Anya's hair isn't long enough to do that yet - it was only straggly right at the back. Hope Jane's teeth come through - Anya's just got 2 eye teeth this week but she's still restless so the others can't be far behind. Anya's also started eating yoghurt with her fingers. She also empties her bowl onto her tray before eating anything - bits she doesn't want then get swept onto the floor. As you say, 'tis a phase. Lovely story about Jane and your grandad walking together - my grandparents were all gone before Anya was born.
FT - hugs to you - I've never been terribly close to my mum, although we get along much better since Anya was born, but I was terrified that her scan might show up something serious and she might not be around to see Anya grow up. Can't imagine how hard it must be when that actually happens to a parent you've loved so much. Alex's antics made me laugh - especially storing food for later and taking food back from the dog.
Alice - woohoo, glad you've got internet again. House sounds wonderful - how long before you move in? How did the swimming go?
Crochet - poor you being ill, hope they manage to get it sorted.
LES - that's great news - hope you can relax a bit now.
Mum got the results of her scan today and it's just a slipped disc . The scan didn't show any signs of nerve compression but there clearly is as she's got muscle weakness in her leg. She might need surgery if it doesn't clear up in next few weeks but at least it's not a tumour or anything, so very relieved!
We're off to the Lakes tomorrow morning to scatter fil's and mil's ashes. We're going to a cottage in the Langdales where dh's family used to go on holidays - it's really basic (they've now got an inside loo ) so we're only staying the one night, but should be nice - lots of opportunity for dh and his brothers to relive boyhood antics.
