Put little man in his swing chair, and sat here vegging on MN and he's spark out in his chair now. Feel very bad. At the same time, I can't help wandering why he can't do this at night??

LOL at rock'n'roll bubbles, just like Ozzy Ozbourne.

Had nice lazy morning at friend's house with her little boy but DS1 had massive tantrum when we got home because he didn't want to get out of the car. Had to text DH to buy me fags on the way home, haven't had one like this for ages although it has been building up for about a week TBH. He's chilled out eventually and had some tea.

My house is also a bombsite, have to tidy downstairs for cleaner tomorrow. Would like to have her back to 3hrs at a time (went down to 90mins for new year's resolution purposes - Ha!) but that would require me tidying upstairs first.

evening all, its taken me all day (on and off) to catch up! And because its taken so long, can't remember what i was going to comment on! Hey ho

my objective viewpoint on albs DS baptism...
it was exactly as albs described it...fabulous! All of the music in the church was great. I had fun singing and dancing with DS. Food was amazing! ALBS did such a good job with all the cooking ;) (i said as much to her on sunday and she almost spat out cream cake on me!). Oh and her hair is indeed very swishy!

And i'd just like to publicly announce... ALBS is lovely and I feel so lucky to have found such a good friend

Are we still talking about the rugby? My boys did good at the weekend!

vg Of course it is ok for him to have the yoghurt - cheese, yoghurt, milk etc all ok after 6 months (unless history of asthma or eczema in the family and they I think they recommend introducing it later) As I've said before mine were practically weaned on petitfilous - I felt like I was swimming in the things at one stage so what you've given him is pure and healthy in comparison!

Have mother here tonight and tomorrow so won't be around much but wishing you all a good couple of days. I am surviving half term by not doing anything at all round the house (partic as Toby woke up 4 times last night and I have a terrible cold...) Actually we've had a nice time ....so far!

oh yes, remembered what i was going to ask.. how do you deal with LOs trying to stand up? DS keeps pulling himself up on his feet at any opportunity but is really unstable so wobbles over, usually bumping his head on something or landing with a bump on his bum. apart from using dizzy's nailgun i'm at a bit of a loss of what to do

miamla You get them a walker so they have something to hold on to while trying (however not recommended if you have wooden floors as they go far too fast ) like the one VTEC do if you don't mind the plastic (their toys are good though) or a wooden one with blocks in it

Option b) buy a playpen and then they can stand up holding onto the bars in relative safety

Option c) Be standing behind them at all times and pray the phase won't last too long

You are going to have one EARLY walker

am all now miamla.

My little man has had a whingeathon today. Fell asleep (as intended) in oushcahir in the morning and we went inot church for coffee morning. Stupid mummy here left her phone in change bag on loud. It rang, ds woke up. I think he'd have slept through the coffee morn noises (even the 4 5-10 yr olds running around shrieking) but my phone, nooooo. he then cried a lot, fed a bit, cried some more, enjoyed sitting on the floor by the altar - his father's son that one . Came home, fed, cried, had lunch, sparko for a nap. Woke after 1.5 - 1.75 hours but was still whingey. ARGH!!!!

that was long and dull. sorry .

Sloth is me! House is a bit of a state. Christening pressies still out (no idea where to out all his china -dds went in cupbaord with our best china but it's a bit full now); washin drying in living room - normally dries in spare room but a god-mother was in there and i thought it polite not to hang wet wahsing up by her bed .

Dh traumatised me today. He reminded me that next week it's Lent and we all agreed to give up choccie (we agreed last yr). ARGH! ds will probably take a dip lol cos i don't think i've gone a day without any apart frrm when i had tummy bug, since he was born.

Ann dylans fav things include the wipe packets or playing with a clean nappy - never mind the hundreds of toys

ALBS the christening sounds absolutely fantastic, am so pleased it went well and can I just say what a lovely thoughtful gift from that chap

miamla do you have a play pen or a travel cot you could put him in when you can't be there 100% of time? it gives them room to potter about in without you having to have your eye on him consistantly - very handy to have

and your boys did spectacularly well - loving seeing Wales back to the rugby nation the used to be

sazz glad you had a lovely day

VG you've reminded me re the joy of bubbles all my girls love them - we had such a beautiful day here too, makes me long for spring to hurry up - am not a huge fan of dark wet damp scottish winters

Dylan ate some butternut squash and chicken today and I've also given her some calpol as that tooth has been bothering her all day, She also LOVES plum baby yogurts and Rachael's organic My First yogurts are on special for £1 in Tesco just now

DH and I are resolute that we're not doing anything tonight as both shattered and the world shall not stop turning if our living room remains a mess

watching Masterchef and searching for this elusive perfect holiday pad for easter is all thats on tonights adgenda!

Seb's favourite toys - hands, feet, remotes. phones, the camera, carrier bags(he's OBSESSED) crisp packets, mugs (preferably with hot tea in them) as you say dizzy never mind toys.

sazzles, lol, thanks for your suggestion re arnica!
sharp corners are all covered but he keeps finding new things to hit!

petit, he's got a walker already but i've hidden it! even with carpets, he was moving too fast with it for my liking!

playpen would be a good idea but i caught him standing in his cot the other day. he hits his head on the bars already...think its time for very soft cushiony cot bumpers!

i had a chat with my mum and her helpful suggestion was make him wear a crash helmet at all times!

no way i can stand behind him all the time, nice idea though!

another little question... how bad are petitfilous for LOs? we've got asthma in DP's family, do i really need to avoid dairy stuff?!

oops, that was two questions!
