Welcome jenbob hopefully I've just come on line for the first time since lunchtime and accepted your request so can we be friends again please?
imoscarsmum I am of course in no way an expert, just a person who reads a lot coz I have no natural intuition with parenting, and my understanding is that bottles should be given up by the age of 1. BUT as with all advice its worth knowing why its there. As I understand it, drinking from a bottle leaves more milk around the teeth than drinking from a beaker, which can damage the teeth. Also some kids have a tendancy to have a bottle with them over a period of an hour or more, taking little sips, which is very bad for the teeth. My dd continued to have a bottle until nearly 2, she only had it at bedtime, drank the whole lot in one go, and brushed her teeth straight after. HTH.
I did my tax return on line, it wasn't too hard, and they gave me money back when I had thought I would owe them, so its worth it ladies!
ponymum I know just what you mean. Ds is not 4 months old, he's 18 weeks
I have also had a rubbishy couple of days. Dd has been pushing me to the limit, and I've not had the energy to keep up high spirits and enthusiasm as I'm just too tired so she's running me ragged and I'm trying so hard to be consistent in my discipline and self controlled in how I speak to her. I'm also insanely hungry. Since 5 pm I've had a banana, pint of water, shepherds pie and veg, bowl of cereal, three biscuits and a cup of tea. And I'm still hungry.
