DD would post back but she is sleeping with a firm latch on my left boob and she won't let go even though she is not feeding!

oopsacoconut · 13/01/2009 15:10

and nmmmmmm is the noise she is making too - how clever is that boy!

that's him saying he did Mummy's head in last night.
DP and I ended up having an argument at 2.30 am. Feel that emotional support is sadly lacking at the moment. We're going to have a chat tonight when he gets home.

Oops at your finger feel rather (ill not jealous)
VG sorry you couldn't get to bristol but yaaaay I'll get to meet you then!

cyteen I could have written your posts. I too feel frayed, brittle and ready to snap at any point.

AnnVan · 13/01/2009 15:15

Ack he's done something that's changed my screen view and don't know how to change it back.

oopsacoconut · 13/01/2009 15:19

Okay who can tell me what Lazytown is all about??? am stuck here with dd attached and I can't reach the remote - cat sat on the topof the telly and has changed channel - I can't quite figure it out -HHHHEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP. I need to get out more!

rotterpotter · 13/01/2009 15:20

I think it starts to get better once they can sit up well by themselves, you can leave them to play happily by themselves while you spend the day on mn do other things. Just remember this is a temporary window because they'll soon after be crawling into trouble...

rotterpotter · 13/01/2009 15:21

Nooooo oops, be careful! Lazytown is the work of the devil

AnnVan · 13/01/2009 15:22

hehe lol.
can you help me get my screen back to normal?
Can't help with lazytown but I do have my doubts about that bloke with the mustache.

rotterpotter · 13/01/2009 15:23

What does it look like now Ann?

oopsacoconut · 13/01/2009 15:23

Ann on mine it is function F5 to change the screen view.

OP posts:
AnnVan · 13/01/2009 15:25

f5 didn't work. the bar at the top has gone and the chat page is taking up the whole screen

oopsacoconut · 13/01/2009 15:26

try pressing escape?

OP posts:
oopsacoconut · 13/01/2009 15:27

or switch it off the on again

OP posts:
AnnVan · 13/01/2009 15:42

Escape didn't work either. I'm sure I'll survive. Will see if DP knows how to change it back when he gets home.

rotterpotter · 13/01/2009 16:05

Ann try pointing the cursor right at the top edge of the screen. Does the top bar come back then? If so you can close window or just minimise, that should get it back

AnnVan · 13/01/2009 16:08

It does rp - have tried closing and minimising, and they haven't worked either

pertelote · 13/01/2009 16:11

Golly Oops that sounds painful and 'orrible. Glad you were able to get help. Bad luck for it to happen today though. Any chance of you getting to London instead?

AnnVan · 13/01/2009 16:14

who all is coming to london meet now?

rotterpotter · 13/01/2009 16:20

I'm hoping to come, depending on what time people are meeting / how far Giraffe is from King's Cross

pertelote · 13/01/2009 16:24

annvan - I think you and me; VG thanks to her fabulous DP ; Miamla, ALBS, Sazzles and Sambo; and possibly RotterPotter, Aleight and No1. Does that sound right? Sorry if I've missed anyone!

RP, we haven't fixed a time yet but it can easily be 11am. It won't take you long to get from KX to Waterloo (the quickest change is at Oxford Circus).

No1 where would you be arriving? If no-one else is coming the same way I am a total transport geek so can give you very precise directions

AnnVan · 13/01/2009 17:08

where is giraffe? I can get off at waterloo east I think.

No1 would arrive at st pancras I think. unless they've changed the route that is.

pertelote · 13/01/2009 17:31

Giraffe is right on the south bank in front of the RFH... easy walk from Waterloo and W'loo East is just a bit further south.

St Pancras means No1 will want to get on the tube at Kings Cross - which is where RP would be arriving (and maybe others?). The most straightforward way to Waterloo is victoria line -> Oxford Circus, then across the platform (no steps) onto the Bakerloo line -> Waterloo, but there might well be stairs to the Victoria line platform - in which case you could leave a bit longer and go round the Circle and via Westminster. If you're worried, No1, I'll do a recce next week and check what's doable with a pushchair.

TwilightSurfer · 13/01/2009 17:40

mental break....
i have too many irons in the fire.
vg so sorry. i'd have cried too.

must go more emails arriving.......

pertelote · 13/01/2009 17:40

Oh and I meant (instead of getting carried away with the excitement of the meet ) to say Cyteen, sorry you're having a tough time. I don't have any words of wisdom I'm afraid except that this baby stuff we're doing is hard, very hard. But it is a valuable thing to be doing and it will pass.

rotterpotter · 13/01/2009 17:57

OMG have booked tickets to London

It is 27 January isn't it...
