AM--Relax. I hope things are better today.

This week has totally caught up with me as I am no more exhausted than I thought I would be. Yesterday I could barely do anything, and I was a mess at work.

AMeadowfullofChristmasTrees · 27/12/2008 19:46

MMeJB, i hope that H has had a lovely 6th birthday x

MmeJaffaB · 27/12/2008 21:48

Start charging her for keep AM, see how she apriciates you then. Cheeky cow!

Thank you for h's b'day wishes, we had a freezing nice day! I was so sad for him though, he has been waiting 6mths to go to futuroscope for the day on his b'day. The park was evacuated because of a fricking bomb scare. wtf? He had been on most things by then but we were looking forward to a nice b'day meal in one of the restaurants followed by the evening lazer show. We will write and hopefully get comp tickets for another day anyway. We stopped for pizza on the way home which cheered him up.

dh is in the earnt points camp along with AM's. He bought me a tiny net book (mini laptop) for Christmas, No more absent holiday time, woo hoo sado

Waves to all, hope you are all enjoying the festives.

Any baby news?

AbbyLou · 29/12/2008 09:02

Good morning evetyone, hope you all had a lovely Charistmas.
We had a great time at my mum's and the kids were very well behaved and enjoyed opening their presents. I'm now struggling to find a home for all the new toys.
Today dh is back at work so it's operation sort the house out now but the kids seem to think I can spend all day playing.

lilLAURAgladtobemeagain · 29/12/2008 09:42

morning all, ooops my mistake nearly got SOH into trouble didnt I? you'll hve to bear with me im getting used to it all again I meant another thread not sit

thats what happens when you have dc 5 and below cant concerntrate
as for needing another house to fit the shite prezzies in , im happy to let you all know that since last being on here we finally got out three bed house woopwoop! but yes had to clear the bedrooms of all old toys yesterday which was fun not

lilLAURAgladtobemeagain · 29/12/2008 09:44

sorry meant site not sit & our not out

AprilMeadow · 29/12/2008 10:49

That's great news LL, must be such a relief for you.

Am also on house clear up. So far have sorted through all the kitchen cupboards to make room for the ridiculous amount of sweets and chocolate we have been given! Just need to find a home for all the crap that i sling in the cupboards 'out of sight' now.

Dh has just taken the aussie back tot the train station as she is on her way to Switzerland although she did inform me that she has left a lot of her stuff in the wardrobes so that she didnt have to lug it around with her.

Ella is starting day 1 of wearing knickers so far no accidents.

SnowOfHands · 29/12/2008 11:22

Hello.

lillaura, glad you found them again. And be careful about talking to some of them, you'll be pregnant again within weeks. It's catching. Are you planning more? Be a dear though and delete that photo on your profile. It makes me feel all old and cellulitey.

Another site, fark me, no. I've no time for MN these days.

Going to read back and catch up though I spy oop there ^ that Ella's potty training. Woo hoo. She's all grown up. M's in pull ups atm, don't dare risk knickers yet as she's teething and it's doing unmentionable things to her tummy and I don't think she can control it sufficiently. And, er, I'm a lazy slattern. I'll confront it in the New Year.

Okay, off to read...

AprilMeadow · 29/12/2008 11:35

SOH, Ella started going to the potty all by herself about 6-8 wks ago so i put her in pull ups and let her continue til i thought she had the hang of it. I asked nursery to help me and they didnt really do much so i said that when she goes back in the new year she would be in pants. Now i just have to get her used to not being in a nappy. So far only 1 accident. Luckily she did her explosion this morning in her nappy so thats one less thing to worry about

lilLAURAgladtobemeagain · 29/12/2008 12:27

ooh potty training i mastered it with ds aged 3 in july but only because he showed absolutley no interest at all until then but got it sorted in time for platschool he was so good even went without nappies at night within a week .

as for l-j well she did her first wee on pot last night while naked waiting to get in the bath wasnt an intentional thing - just because potty was there and she said "mummy weewee" so off she went and did it 5 mins later needed a poo but that so didnt happen as she has developed a fear of going since her 1st bday as she suffers really bad constipation has meds for it but even when its an easy one she will hold it for days due to fear so need to see hv before we go ahead i think and will have to use pull-ups just in case the number 2 attacks

I will NOT be getting pregnant again (opens package that has just arrived from lovehoney)

AbbyLou · 29/12/2008 12:40

Am all the best with potty training, you are very brave. E must be a very clever little girl. R will tell me when she has done it now and I think she is beginning to feel the need to go but she's definitely not ready yet. I think she will be quicker than her brother though, he was 2.7.

AprilMeadow · 29/12/2008 12:54

She is a complete copy cat and is only doing it because she wants to be like Jack. I have not pushed her to do it and would have preferred her to have waited til the summer. She copies everything he does at the moment which can be very funny but also very

lilLAURAgladtobemeagain · 29/12/2008 13:18

lol i know that one l-j tries to copy dd1 and ds has us in stitches sometimes but they at a lovely age are'nt they?

RE picture on profile sorry
if its any help it was pre birth of Ashlee so i dont look like that now

just bought ds a virtual racing thing he looks really tiny with the head gear on even funnier that he is moving from side to side when he steering the wheel hehe
right off to watch highschoolmusical 2 with dd1 and then have a bath if i ever get 5 mins peace today hopefuly dh wil be back shortly so i can relax and enjoy it for a change

MKG · 29/12/2008 13:39

Wow you lot have me beat on the potty training thing. I just did Mateo at 3.5 and will not be training Cruz for quite some time. Of course first he has to talk.

Welcome back to the fol LilLaura. Glad to hear you're doing ok.

AprilMeadow · 29/12/2008 14:02

Well i would have preferred talking MKG. I am so fed up with grunts and pointing its driving me mad. She does say a fair few words but favours mime and pointing

lilLAURAgladtobemeagain · 29/12/2008 14:31

i have a chatter box, lol. three word sentences now oh and the word "why"

lilLAURAgladtobemeagain · 29/12/2008 15:11

SnowOfHands · 29/12/2008 17:20

I'm a prude you see.

I don't really know what to do with potty training tbh. M uses the potty regularly and has done for several weeks but gets upset if she has an accident, which she only does when she's teething as it upsets her tummy. I don't think she feels what's happening and she gets confused. She is very interested in the whole thing. I dread taking her in a cubicle in public (thank God E's not talking AM believe me). M says all sorts regardless of its basis in truth. Usually 'mummy do poo now... sit down... wipe... good girl, well done, trousers up... good girl... flush toilet... good girl'. I can hear the queue laughing at her me.

Somebody has bought M a pushchair for her doll. She's turned into... a girl. Bella's in it atm, wrapped up, having The Gruffalo read to her and occasionally being told 'night night Bella close eyes... sleepy Bella bed'. Cute but girly. I'm encouraging her up a tree and she's homemaking. I beg of you.
