The weight gain isn't happening here yet. Posibly all the vomiting or the fact all I feel like eating is cereal with soya milk, bananas and laughing cow on toast.

AngeG · 15/10/2008 21:30

oooggs - Pmsl at puncture in your pushchair at 15 mini snowballs!! Sorry work was horrible. Hope it gets better.

POTC - Jealous of Homemade chocolate cake. Did you make it yourself?

SOl - Glad B had a good time! We're all ok here thanks. I have been lurking a lot. J ok. Had 3 days off school last week, he had hand, foot and mouth, was really quite ill bless him. All better now.

School stressing me out a bit, J told me last week that he is sometimes sad in the playground because no-one plays with him I've told him he needs to ask people which he says he has, but sometimes they say no I want to go and say to all the children, "please play with Jake, he is really lovely"

Anyway after school today he told me that he kissed to girls in the line today Taking after his Dad already!!! Apparently he likes them, but they don't like him Bless him he didn't seem too upset though.

Should I mention the friends thing to his teacher or just leave it a while and see how he gets on?

Sorry not more personals.

Oooggs absolutely rofl at your pushchair puncture!!

Had N's parent's evening tonight. You may hae noticed I have been obsessing posting less about him lately which is because he has been seeming happier and calmer. Teacher had also noticed and apparently even the evil head has She said he seems to have suddenly matured loads over the last 2 weeks or so. She also said how kind he is to everyone and how he will almost look for situations where he can be kind! She said his numeracy is excellent and showed me some partitioning work he had been doing ie 36 was written in his book and he had written 3 tens 6 ones next to it and so on and got it all right. Also doing very well with his spellings etc just struggling with his actual letter formation and pen control. Oh and she referred to his 'hareem' again, seems he has a bit of a female fan club bless him and I can't blame them cos I think hes gorgeous!!! I am so proud of him and so relieved. Although we still get tantrums at home and over tiredness, stroppiness etc but not nearly as much stress about going to school as before. Although when I said I was going to Parent's evening and was there anything he didn't like that he wanted me to talk to Mrs D about he said 'yes, the work'!!

Started writing this ages ago but got distracted and now can't remember what else I was going to say

Pesha · 15/10/2008 22:36

Harem, not sure where the extra 'e' came from

Pesha · 15/10/2008 22:52

Oh Ange sorry just seen your post. Poor J its heartbreaking isn't it. I hope its just a settling in thing and he'll soon make some good friends. Have you got a parent's evening soon? Sorry if you've said but if so I would talk to the teacher then, if not might be worth just a brief chat after school. She might be able to put your mind at rest a bit, I know when Nathan started school he went through a stage of telling me nothing but bad things and arguments hed had and it seemed as if it was all the time but actually it was just an occassional thing but something he was choosing to focus on iyswim. Not sure I've said that very clearly, bit too tired to think straight. Or it may be that they can keep an eye on him at playtimes and try and make sure hes not left alone.

I have discovered the solution to my narcolepsy being worse. Men! Well, one in particular. I am still awake having not been to bed (so glad I can sleep tomorrow!). We are naming our future children right now

Hey ladies.

Ange - sorry your are haing a tough time of it - kids can be so cruel!!!

Pesha - pleased N's parents evening went well - ]grin] @ his "harem"

POTC - Have totally lost off with who new bloke is!

Quick Q - would anyone be intrerested in a short sleeve no added sugar "Menace" t-shirt? I bought it for C but his tummy is too big for it Its 18 month size so would fit anyone under 27lb like my bloater son. Looking for £5?

SharpMolarBear · 16/10/2008 08:14

What a relief Pesha, so pleased he's happier there
Well T was up most of the night and so I'm off work today. No more vomiting, just seems in a bit of pain and unsettled. Had a dreadful temperature during the night but not ure if that was just down to too many covers
How dO i get him back to normal???

SharpMolarBear · 16/10/2008 08:16

Oh and NL, if it's the bf thread I'm thinking of (I post on quite a few ) then there's been a bit of a drawback

Bramshott · 16/10/2008 09:49

Sounds like a great parents evening Pesha!

POTC - tell us more! I'm sure you will in good time!

SMB - pants to crap night! You'll just have to fill your day posting on AIBU threads in a terse and tired fashion . I was glad you popped up on the weaning at 3 months thread - I was beginning to think I was going mad there!

SharpMolarBear · 16/10/2008 10:39

Have I been terse? oops
ikwym about the weaning stuff. IMO there's a big difference between weaning at 4 months (against guidance) and giving a tiny baby food!

SharpMolarBear · 16/10/2008 10:48

ok am deginitely being terse on another weaning thread now

cazboldy · 16/10/2008 11:32

lol SMB

Vet been. Burst abcess, and cleaned it but thinks it will be 2-3 weeks efore he is fully recovered.....

Charlie is at playgroup. Dh took him. I asked him 3 times yesterday, and again this morning, but still had a major strop when I insisted I can't be in 2 places at once....

SharpMolarBear · 16/10/2008 12:02

poor mojo

cazboldy · 16/10/2008 12:29

thanks SMB

Should be feeling much better no it's burst though

Bramshott · 16/10/2008 12:46

No, no SMB, I wasn't meaning that you had been terse, just that if you were tired, it would be one way of amusing yourself (!). That weaning thread was bonkers - almost no-one reading the original post, which was NOT to say "is weaning before 6 months okay?", but "shall I be complicit in giving a baby under 16 weeks solid food". The thing that made me is that most weaning threads on Mumsnet seem to go totally the other way, along the lines of "how can you even consider giving your 5.5 month old solids you madwoman!".

SharpMolarBear · 16/10/2008 12:51

Speaking of weaning T actually seems to be easting today
OK it's a rice cake, dry cracker and some raisins but it's progress
I feel a right fraud today as neither of us seems too bad, but I'd have had to get up after about 3 hours sleep to drive for an hour and I couldn't face it. Feel very guilty at being off

SharpMolarBear · 16/10/2008 12:53

what can I eeeeeeeeat?
Why do we have no food in the house?
Even the cupboard that normally has tins that are BB 2002 looks bare

Bramshott · 16/10/2008 13:35

beans?
tuna?
pasta & pesto?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 16/10/2008 14:23

gm I don't post on here about it much (for obvious reasons) so there's not much you should know about him, other than that I'm having fun

Just had the fright of my life about half an hour ago, and am still shaking.....

Molly was scoffing cheese on toast, cramming it all in as usual, but she choked

It was getting worse and worse, and she was gasping. In the end thought it wasn't going to stop and rang for an ambulance, but just as I was giving my address she was sick everywhere and started crying.....

I have never been so glad to see someone be sick in my life!

She of course is absolutely fine now, I however am a wreck!

Off to do the school run x
