Sorry, I didn't mean that to sound belittling - £400 odd is obviously something! Hope you do find a way to get it as hard cash. Or if not that you enjoy a little quiet (or quieter at least) time.

RiallyEeRiaee · 14/10/2008 13:02

baggins climbed onto the sofa, pulled the back cushions down to bolster him up and climbed over the back the other day. Little bugger

You would be proud daisy, I've let him run round the garden twice since we met up

DS1 home early today as there is a parents evening. Might let him invite his friend for tea.

Hi everyone

JammyOLantern · 14/10/2008 13:05

Hi Ria

JammyOLantern · 14/10/2008 13:06

Luckily our sofas are against the walls, so jamlet can't climb over the back. Mmmm, but with one against the windowsill, when the window is open in summer, she could climb out of the house !

RiallyEeRiaee · 14/10/2008 13:08

hi Jammy. DS2 once climbed out of the living room window in to the conservatory because I'd locked the door...

I am a bit just atm so am lurking a bit.

JammyOLantern · 14/10/2008 13:09

Sorry that you're Anything we can do?

HollyWeen · 14/10/2008 13:13

Why so ria? Are you ok?

Oh dear foxy, it's downhill from now on! Ds has been able to climb on the sofa since he was about 8 mo and he has been a little shit ever since!!

Lovely Sharon from Tips has sent me a signed copy of her book for my group. She is so nice!

JammyOLantern · 14/10/2008 13:21

Hi Holly. How are you?

Ohforfoxsake · 14/10/2008 13:28

Hey Ria, whats up m'dear?

Hope you are on the mend Jammy.

I like Tips Holly. Have tested a couple of things for them, but nothing exciting. Or big (enough to ebay and make some money on )

HollyWeen · 14/10/2008 13:31

Hi Jammy, we are fine. Eating reduced chocolate cake from Waitrose!

Hope you are ok, the cough sounds nasty.

Ohforfoxsake · 14/10/2008 13:37

I got free chocolate thanks to a thread on here.

Lemon and pepper white chocolate

Surprisingly not bad at all

JammyOLantern · 14/10/2008 13:41

Mmmmm, reduced cake, the BEST kind! I had a reduced price chocolate Berliner last night (a kind of chocolate doughnut thing, very yummy)

I feel generally rough and ropey. Am making myself feel better with some horlicks Have tried to do a couple of small jobs round the house (load washing machine for example) but every time I do something I have a coughing fit So am sitting still and doing the online Sainsurys order. At least it gets something done without making me feel any worse.

I have only just got round to signing my TIPS form to be a tester this weekend . And it is still waiting to go int he post . I have some other things the need urgent posting, so may try a stroll across the road to the post box later.

JammyOLantern · 14/10/2008 13:43

Did someone say free chocolate??

JammyOLantern · 14/10/2008 13:45

Something is wrong in the world when 284 ml Sainsbury's malt vinegar costs 31p and 568 ml costs 32p

HollyWeen · 14/10/2008 13:46

I got reduced chocolate cake (yummy fresh cream one), reduced chocolate cupcake mix to make with dd if we get a rainy day, reduced cheese and reduced cereal bars! The toddler group is right opposite Waitrose, so I always head there for reduced stuff afterwards!

Jammy, sit down and take it easy. The washing can wait!

LackaDAISYcal · 14/10/2008 13:47

you OK Ria?

the months off with the childcare will be handy jammy, ezpecially with Christmas around the corner.

DD hasn't stopped whinging since she got up. Would it be too cruel just to put her back to bed again? I really cannot be done with it. It could be teething, but she hasn't any other symtoms like rosy cheeks or anything.

Might see about a nursery for DD when DH is working up here again....then he can drop her off and pick her up giving me two full days with the baby.

Fucking hell, there is someone trying to parallel park outside my house! OMG she has been at it for about 10 minutes! Yet they won't let me drive! I could have done it first go, the space is huge!

Free chocolate?? How did I miss that?

JammyOLantern · 14/10/2008 13:50

Unfortunately that particular load of washing couldn't wait. It was nappies. Not only was the stock of clean, dry ones getting dangerously low, the dirty, wet ones were getting a bit whiffy!

Ohforfoxsake · 14/10/2008 13:50

I have 'no parking' days sometimes Holly. Its not me is it?

HollyWeen · 14/10/2008 13:53

I wish it was you foxy, then you could come in for a cuppa and reduced chocolate cake !

LackaDAISYcal · 14/10/2008 13:55

when i lived in Edinburgh, I could parallel park into a space barely longer than the car, but as I never really need to do it anymore, I need a space the size of a bus. She is maybe just out of practice?

HollyWeen · 14/10/2008 13:58

No, I think she was just a dappy cow!

Ohforfoxsake · 14/10/2008 14:12

I'm coming your way (I think) next week. But only to get on a ferry, so won't have time to drop in

LackaDAISYcal · 14/10/2008 14:20

are you off to parts foreign foxy?
