Yes Eah I was thinking about the age gap after one of your posts to PCF a while back. At the scan today the heartbeat was 160 which got me thinking about the old wives tale of it means a girl. You can be my mentor

eandh · 17/10/2008 18:46

Ummmm ummmm thinks of one positive thing to say about 2 girls 2.4 years apart - its fab that you dont have to buy clothes again, you become very good at doing hair styles, and as much as they argue and fight they really really do love each alot and very cute when Hattie gets into Ellies bed at 2am and they snuggle up together and I find them like that when I check on them

Right am off to a mums night out

Wilkiepedia · 17/10/2008 18:58

Bleeding and sickness - must be a boy! You were fine with P weren't you?

Lizz: YES it's me!
Me: EEEEEK! Congratulations, yey, great....
Lizz: What!?!! I meant 'yeah it's me!' you div!
Me: Oh, so you aren't pg then?
Lizz: Errrr, NO! Why?
Me: Bum, thought I had solved te mystery, someone is pg on the thread
Lizz: Not me, I'm buying shoes in Mothercare

So there we go

2Happy · 17/10/2008 19:06

ROFL wilkie!!
He's got home now, there was a crash on A1, took him ages to get home. He looks a little grey now, but I've still sent him up to do bedtime stories

P was 5/9 days early according to her edd by scan dates, but about right by my dates.
My edd is 30 April by my dates and today's scan reckoned 25 April.

Am already worried about the birth. Wanted a VBAC until the midwife rang up the hospital and was told in no uncertain terms that I couldn't have a waterbirth, and although they would happily support a VBAC I would have to have continual monitoring. Still, plenty of time to think about that.

Wilkie pmsl. I like the fact the Lizz isn't pg because she's "buying shoes in Mothercare" .

theSuburbanDryad · 17/10/2008 19:36

RGee - why did they say you couldn't have a VBAC in the pool? You need to talk to Marsy or lulu, they'd know if you really could or not.

There's No Way I am going anywhere near a hospital this time round!!

Yay!!! Congrats Rgee sooo glad all went well this morning and that you are feeling better. We all seem to be a fertile group don't we?!

ladytophamhatt · 17/10/2008 21:07

Oh Rgee, congratulations, FAB news.

I thought it was Nemo, she's PG too!

My boots arrived.

OMFG i sall I can say. they are lovely!

laughalot · 17/10/2008 22:25

Yipee rgee brilliant news. Its very easy having 2

Wilkiepedia · 18/10/2008 08:10

Yes, P was undiagnosed breech and RGee has emergency c section IIRC.

UD - DH and I were talking about the next birth. I said I would want a home birth (I think) but he is really cautious. I guess I will be happy in hosp but ONLY if I am in a pool. Ho hum, it's all academic at the mo anyway.

I HATE HOSPITALS.

My dad is coming over tonight and spending the day with us tomorrow as mum is at work. He is so excited bless him. He has bough a huge remote controlled speed boat for him and J to enjoy I don't think he has grasped that J isn't even 2 yet!!

LTH - you will have to post a photo of you in your boots (preferably not just your boots...)

eandh · 18/10/2008 08:19

Morning,

Wilkie - bless your Dad he sounds so lovely

LTH - I assume they were worth every penny?

Laughalot - Hope promo day at work goes well

How exciting about all these babies I now know 7 people due in April so there must have been crap TV in July (or drunken nights after bbq's) My birthday is pril and my Dad once said he knew when I'd been conceived because my Nan &Grandad had gone on holiday with my Mum, Dad and brother and they'd babysit my brother in the evening so I am the result of a few drunken nights whilst on holiday

theSuburbanDryad · 18/10/2008 19:22

Well we have had the shittest day ever.

Dh went into London on a jolly, so Z and i went into town to pick up a few bits and i took him into Starfucks for a treat (which he usually LOVES) and he refused to sit, refused to to drink his drink, refused to stay with me even - he had to be running around DOWN the stairs (when I wanted him to stay upstairs with me) sso he had a massive meltdown, seriously massive - people were leaving and giving me dirty looks for it! So we left before i'd finished my drink (he didn't even touch his) and we went to the park because I figured at least he could run around in the kid's bit (which is all enclosed) and he played quited nicely for about 15 minutes until he decided he wanted to go and see the ducks. So we went to see the ducks, so we went to see the ducks and he had a massive meltdown because i wouldn't let him fling himself into the pond.

So then we went to the chip shop to get some lunch (because I was giving up the will to live by this point) and he had a massive meltdown in there too (reasons unknown) and then refused to eat his sausage and chips, refused to have a nap, and turned the afternoon into one long tantrum! I have NO idea what's got into him at the moment - i know he's upset because i'm not breastfeeding him anymore (he was so not ready to stop and i feel like shit for forcing him off but i had now choice!) but i am seriously considering selling him to gypsies at the moment.

And now he's beating me over the head with his (full) cup of milk shouting MORE MILK at me. Would anybody like him?> I'll deliver him tomorrow, no, tonight, free of charge. He comes with some pretty cool toys and all essential equipment!

Shimmer · 18/10/2008 21:28

CONGRATULATIONS RGEE!!

I can't believe how many of us on here are pg now. I'm so jealous

That does sound like a shitty day UD. Hope Z is sleeping soundly tucked up in bed now. I can forgive F anything he's done in the day once he's fast asleep and i'm slouched on the sofa stuffing my face.

Only 2 weeks til moving now. I've got SOOOO much to do. It seems quite unlikely that everything will actually all go according to the current plan, but all fingers and toes crossed.

theSuburbanDryad · 19/10/2008 08:45

Well.

He slept through and is a ray of sunshine this morning. Dh has got him for a while today so i can go out for lunch with some friends. Grr. I just know they're going to have a lovely day - am I mean spirited and petty for hoping that Z plays up for him like he does for me?

PCF - happy birthdays all round. Hope you keep your mind off things, and fingers, toes, eyes, the lot crossed for you tomorrow x
UD - my boys are the same too - give me hell, sweetness and light for everyone else, makes me wonder if it's my fault sometimes. However, ds1 been in proper meltdown this morning - I was sneakily gardening outside so was all dh's to deal with. He's now in bed because he feels ill . Actually, that's unfair, he probably is ill. I've been feeling sick all week (even ended up doing a PT even though there is no way I am pg) I think it's viral (that or the painkillers he's taken since his minor op). Anyway, point is, UD, they reserve their worst behaviour for their mums, and enjoy it the most when out in public.
LTH - glad the boots are good
Wilkie - hope your dad enjoyed himself
RGee - they would be worried about your scar popping open during labour - it is very rare but is a risk of VBAC. But they should talk you through the risks so that it is your choice. It's one of the reasons why, if we have a dc3, I would probably end up with a cs, because very few places would induce in someone who's had a cs and it appears to be a physical impossibility for my family to go into labour spontaneously

Right, well, dh got out of bed at 8.30, is now back in bed again. I've been up since 5.15 with ds2. What am I going to do to keep me and the kids sane today?! ((It's amazing, poor dh. When the dses are ill I cuddle them, put the tv on for them, clean up after them... dh is poorly and I come on MN and moan ))

Fingers crossed for tomorrow PCF. Just remember that sickness is a fantastic sign that things are going well. Will be thinking of you!

No time for other personals but waves all round

Lizzzombie · 20/10/2008 08:53

rgee CONGRATULATIONS! Fab news for you! (what is a VBAC?)
UD - your shitty day sounds like a normal one for me I am afraid!
Shimmer Two weeks is nothing! Can't wait to have you down here, please don't pg yet then we can have a boozy lewes night out!
Wilkie Nice to talk to you, I didn't realise you sounded so 'Northern'!
PCF How many weeks are you now? Hope the scan is good - post photos!
LTH Get your arse into Eastbourne and do me a tap dance in your new boots!
2Happy - Hope your Dh is better, I really can't be doing with ill DP's!
EAH Was driving through Tunbridge Wells last night on way back from 4 hour drive back from ILs and DP said he'd look after DJ for me one Sunday so I can have a day out shopping there! - are the shops generally open there on Sundays? It looks like the sort of town to be closed on Sundays. Maybe we could do coffee/cake/lunch or something there?!
Vino Hi there! Hope things are going well for you.

Right, my house is upside down from getting back late last night.

BTW - clarks concession in M/Care is sh*t. They measured DJ's feet as a 5G. I swear the woman/teenager who did it was an x-factor reject and really didn't know what she was doing. I got his feet measured in August and Clarks man said he was a five and a half E, and that he had very narrow feet. !? Weird.

ps - have no plans to get pregnant! My legs are FIRMLY crossed!

Wilkiepedia · 20/10/2008 12:43

PCF - how've you got on? Been thinking of you this morning x
