Awwww, poor M Dooby.

Reasonable pm with the outlaws; but found it hard as they were making lots of plans to help SIL & DH with their new house - and they've never lifted a finger for us & we live round the corner

NorthernLurker · 28/09/2008 20:01

Oh Dippy that is rubbish of them!! Still the plans may never come to anything I suppose? We are going away at half term and you and your gang are welcome to the house if you can get up here. We're off from the Sunday to lateish on the Friday - any good to you?

SOL - glad you are feeling a bit better.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/09/2008 20:05

hello hello hello

NL - was up your way this week I think, and not far from Pinions either!

This week I am further North but I think nowhere near any of you!

Bramshott - DO IT!!!!!

CaptainDippy · 28/09/2008 20:07

That is so kind NL - I'll definitely have a think about it. One of my BF lives in Notts & she might fancy a wee trip to good old York for a day or two!!?

oooggs · 28/09/2008 20:42

bramshott - dh was wood chopping (sawing) yesterday - we have a woodburner

sol - hope you got some respite today

caz - at gates - hope Caitlin settles soon

js - hope you enjoyed your girly day

dooby - poor love hope he feeld better soon

ellie - you jetsetter

dippy - sorry there are problems

NL - I don't get vouchers as have an onsite nursery where employers pay 33%

eddas - Happy Birthday to your DH

katy - I hate the teething bit

we have had a busy day - off on the steam train, picnic lunch then back to mum & dads for a BBQ - it is summer here

I'm shattered - so off to bed

Bramshott · 28/09/2008 20:59

Well I now have a lovely big woodpile which hasn't fallen over yet. On the downside I also have a really painful hip from all the bending and lifting - owwwww! Feeling old!

Also very relived as N managed to loose her new sparkly pink toy mobile phone we bought yesterday in the field of stubble behind the house . We did three circuits of the (large) field and were on the point of giving up when we found it - phew!

POTC - but I'm scaaaared!!

SOL & Dippy - you poor things. Hope you're both feeling a bit better now.

Well, one more mouse this morning - I took him right up to the back of the garden so let's hope he's gone! I tell you, the bloody cat is useless!

Feeling knackered tonight - sometimes I think that DH does very little to help with the girls when he's here, but blimey do I miss the extra help when he's not!!! Hopefully he'll be back not too late as he is now working tomorrow (had originally booked it off but now too busy).

Right - off to pour a beer and watch Tess of the Durbervilles and then to soak my hip in the bath - oh the excitement!

NorthernLurker · 28/09/2008 21:10

Do have a think Dippy - just had a thought and hope 1/2 term is the same for you as it is up here- we're away 26/10-31/10.
Oooggs - do you still get your subsidised place during ML? This whole voucher thing has come out of a court case to say that it is now illegal to withdraw benefits in kind whilst women are on m/l. So things like subsidised places, gym membership and cars now have to continue.

Sexonlegs · 28/09/2008 21:23

Hello.

Dooby, poor poor M. He has been through a tough time.

Bramshott, you poor old dear Glad you found the phone. Always a nightmare when special things get lost.

Dippy, glad the outlaws were ok. How was your Spanish Omelette??

Oooggs, have a good sleep. x

Brain emptied. Shattered.

NL/Dippy, I need some prayers please. My mum has had some trouble with her tummy (apparently for 3 years according to my dad) and finally went and had blood taken on Friday and is going for a scan next week. Can you please pray that there is nothing awful wrong with her. I'm scared and I know she is

Thank you.

Off to bed in a mo. Feel utterly wiped out.

Thanks for being here today lovely ladies and see you all tomorrow. xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/09/2008 21:51

but bramshott I'm scared tooooooooooooo

runnyhabbit · 28/09/2008 22:02

Hi all

Have had an awful weekend - got admitted to hospital yesterday morning with severe abdominal pains. The pain started Thursday night, but me being me just thought some paracetemol would sort it out. (Even the gp I saw on friday morning thought it was just a water infection) At first they thought appendicitis. But then discovered it was kidney stones. Have never been in so much agony in my life
Stomach still feels sore, but more achy, iyswim. Just need to take it easy for a few days. Not quite sure how I'll manage that being at home but J goes to school all day tomorrow, and W is with my mum so shouldn't be too bad.

(I'm hoping that one day I might actually come and tell you all some good news, and catch up on everyones' news)

Doobydoo · 28/09/2008 22:18

SOL and Runny.Thinking of you both.xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/09/2008 22:53

Arse. I'm supposed to have baked cakes for The Lovely!

NorthernLurker · 28/09/2008 22:59

Runny - you poor thing! Hope you do indeed feel much better soon.

SOL - will do - praying for good news for your mum and for peace of mind for you and your dad.

Eddas · 29/09/2008 07:59

sol, I hope your mum will be ok.

RH, sorry to hear about yet more problems for you. Take it easy

I think eandh will be told she'll lose her job this morning she works for Bradford and Bingley she has a meeting this morning but all the news reports don't sound good. They've been bought out by Santander who own Abbey. So i'd think after a short while they'll transfer all the accounts and close B&B's branches

Eddas · 29/09/2008 08:52

i just pmsl, i came out of the loo to find ds hanging upside down half in half out of his toy box trying to reach a car He's so funny

CaptainDippy · 29/09/2008 09:46

for EandH - and for runny too, sound very sore, poor thing

Bit nippy here today & was raining this morning 1st thig; but seems to be brightening up now, I hope ...

Bramshott · 29/09/2008 11:02

Owwwww Runny, you poor thing! Will you need to go back in to have something done about them, or will they sort themselves out?

cazboldy · 29/09/2008 11:06

Hello all...... you know what I said the other day about this being a nice area? can you please all forget I said that..... the rear window of my truck has been smashed .... i think deliberately It is in our drive, and I didn't hear a thing......
the new boss's wife took the kids to school for me bless her!

I am at the point of wondering just what the hell else can possibly go wrong....

SOL - really hope your Mum will be ok

Runny - will you need an op? Hope you feel better soon

Luce - that is a very brave decision!

StealthPolarBear · 29/09/2008 11:09

SOL and runny thinking about you both
Not going to be around for a few days, power cable for laptop has gone on blink, DH ordering a new one so should be back soon xx

cazboldy · 29/09/2008 11:13

will miss you SPB xx

Oh and on a lighter note my sil has gone in to be induced today - poor love

JellySnakes · 29/09/2008 11:40

Morning all

See you in a few days SPB

Caz, at your back window being smashed. That is part of the reason I would like to move, it used to be a really nice quiet area, but lately I can see it getting a bit rougher iykwim.

Runny, glad you made it home last night and I hope you are feeling ok. At least you have a bit of time out from the boys today. Hope you have your feet up!!

Eddas, made me laugh with the mental picture of your ds in the toy box
for eandh if she is to lose her job. The Bradford and Bingley stuff is all over the news today isn't it, I have my mortgage with them (didn't have originally but it was sold by another company which I never realised they could do). Don't think it will affect us though, we just pay the mortgage as normal.

Got the financial advisor coming tonight to have a chat about whether we could realistically afford to move. I need to know, if we can't then I just have to put the idea out of my mind.
Feeling a bit rough today, sore throat and just generally run down. Dc's both have coughs and runny noses too. Hope we can all get rid of it by next Wednesday when we go on our holiday.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 29/09/2008 12:09

Afternoon all

I've been down at the photocopier, I do so love it down there

Bored. But have reports to prepare for the guys so should really be doing that. I've got one hour to get the report ready for D to put his bit in. and in that time I've got to MN and check Facebook too
