Hi all

GM, I went to look at Kew's thread, it is so lovely and so sad at the same time. I had a lump in my throat when I was watching her montage!

Oooggs, yes going on hols next Weds to Cyprus Really looking forward to it, especially because we had to cancel our summer holiday in June because I was not well.

Financial advisor came out and it looks like we will be staying put for now. Tbh I knew that already, but the fact that he said it means I will have to get the idea of moving out of my head. Would like to move, but dh and I have decided to make the best of our house (which is actually fine), and do it up a bit so it is a nicer place to come home to iykwim. We basically need a skip, and a weekend without the children so that we can chuck out all the crap. We will have much more space here if we can do that!!

Doobydoo · 30/09/2008 17:00

HI ALL.
Back from hosp.Whilst theres been improvement in left hip, still borderline. If not much different in feb he will have to have surgery or it could mean that he has to have hip replacement as a young adult and further ones throughout his life.So have to wait til feb, will try to catch up later.x

CaptainDippy · 30/09/2008 17:15

All a "waiting game", eh Dooby - sigh. glad there's no drastic difference for the worse thouh iykwim!!?

Wish we could do up our house JS Enjoy!

Right, go and get girls ....

cazboldy · 30/09/2008 17:19

Is that what you expected Dooby?

StealthPolarBear · 30/09/2008 17:56

Hi everyone
What a long time dooby Wish you could have got some answers before then
This may go off at any sec, all OK ish here T has a molar coming through which he's find very painful and conjunctivitis again, not as bad as last time

Doobydoo · 30/09/2008 18:34

No Caz tbh...we both rather shocked.Am not usually an optimist re this sort of thing, but was for some reason.Oh spb poor you and T.M and ds1 both manic...early bed for all methinks

StealthPolarBear · 30/09/2008 18:37

oh dooby
We're all fine really, just sick of gunk from every orifice

NorthernLurker · 30/09/2008 18:40

Dooby - sorry to hear you've had a shock. M will do a lot of growing between now and Feb - could they give you any idea of the probability of it getting better to some degree in the next few months?

CaptainDippy · 30/09/2008 18:53
Sexonlegs · 30/09/2008 19:23

Dooby, huge hugs to you xx

SPB, hope the gunk clears up soon.

JS, enjoy the decorating

Doobydoo · 30/09/2008 19:23

I did ask and the consultant said that some are fine and some aren't!
I feel pointlessly annoyed with the hospital he was born at and meself.Thay picked t up at hosp when he was newborn but the follow ups said everything fine til we had letter out of blue from orthopedic consultant before christmas. If they had braced him from 6 days old it would prob have been sorted.Feel annoyed that we saw too many monkeys and not the organ grinder. The op and after sounds horrid and I hate GA'S.
Just have to wait.

oooggs · 30/09/2008 19:40

oh dooby - there are plenty of monkeys around

mj - chuck children in skip first - will save on finding childcare

sol - hows your mum?

katy - poor T - yuk

dh has spoken to ds1's teacher and his behaviour has improved dramatically since parents evening so I am not so worried anymore - he is back in character and things have improved at home with his attitude at last I have my lovely boy back

Sexonlegs · 30/09/2008 19:49

Hi Oooggs, pmsl at chucking the dc in the skip first!

Really glad J is back to normal as it were.

Thanks for asking about my mum. Going to phone her later and see if she has had any news.

Doobydoo · 30/09/2008 19:57

OOOGGS That is great news
SOL,Am still thinking about your mum and sending positive thoughts.
So sad about your friend having a nervous breakdown.

Eddas · 30/09/2008 20:15

evening, have read all but retained nowt as per ususal

oh accept,

dooby, that's quite a wait

oooggs, glad ds1 is better at school now still find it odd that they had parents evening after a day(well ok a couple of weeks)

I'm bored tonight >

Eddas · 30/09/2008 20:41

Sexonlegs · 30/09/2008 20:50

Tesco ClubCard Vouchers are fab!

Feel chilled to the bone this evening.

Eddas · 30/09/2008 20:55

they are indeed! £12.50 of tokens and we can spend £50 on food and it's not far from the hotel either, whoop!

glad you're chilled sol

I am so so so excited about my birthday treat, s'gonna be great! off tocheck out the hotel and see what we're getting for dh's our money

StealthPolarBear · 30/09/2008 22:40

oooggs, glad J is better at school
Just been to A&E as T has a blotchy rash over his chest, tummy and back which we thought was non blanching. All fine though and a case of the PFBs!

StealthPolarBear · 01/10/2008 07:45

morning everyone
Can't decide whether to take T to nursery today or not

Eddas · 01/10/2008 08:02

hi spb, glad t is ok. I've had these moments of pfb(even with ds!) the hospitals would rather you go in and it's nothing than wait, or that's what they've always told us

re nursery, how is t today? is the rash still there? any other issues, high temp etc? If not i'd send him. They probably won't take him with a rash unless they hospital said it was not contagious(did they say what it was?)

CaptainDippy · 01/10/2008 09:36

Must've been a worry SPB. xx

Any more on your mum SOL?

I am exhausted already - must be something in the air, but all my girls are grouchy, whingy, stubborn, angry & horrid atm - not to mention getting up at revolting O'Clock every morning and being tired all day

Sorry, just getting it off my chest ...

Pesha · 01/10/2008 09:47

SPB - don't think its a pfb thing at all, as Eddas says much better to take them and it be nothing than not take them and it turn out to be something.

M has her harvest festival assembly today but I couldn't go as noone to look after D and hed just be a nightmare if I took him, screming to get out pushchair but if he did he'd be running all over and into everything he shouldn't. She cried nearly all the way to school Managed to stop her by promising I'd try and find her a riding stables she can have lessons at as nearest doesn't have spaces. So best get on and do that, if I can't find there'll be trouble!!

cazboldy · 01/10/2008 09:59

Oh Dooby so sorry for your nasty shock. Really hoping all will be much improved by february xxx

Pesha good luck with your riding stables search!

No news on my neice/nephew yet! and she should have been induced on Monday night!
