Thinking of Disney and little Sam

The neighbours are having a conservatory built. They only turn up about once a week and a few hours here and there- this is the third week!
Guy came this morning and started grinding bricks. Ran upstairs to shut my bedroom window to see Brick dust pouring in and coverng my bedroom and our conservatory roof is coated in thick brick dust.
No warning about the dust even though you can see my window was open and hes buggered off now and left my conservatory roof orange!
Im not a happy bunny!

sweetkitty · 15/10/2008 20:33

Evening all

Disney thinking of you and Sam as is everyone else xxx

I cannot believe it Bethany is 3 months old already, where has the time gone ladies, wasn't that long ago I was moaning about SPD and that I still had 15 weeks to go. Time does speed up when you have a baby thats for sure. Took all 3 of them to get their photos done this morning hoping we get at least one half nice one, DD1 was very good and proud holding her baby sister on her lap.

B is still up still cranky at night I think we are going to have to do something about it, she is getting worse only wants fed or carried in the one position which means evenings are a bit crap for DP and I right now.

mcchesers · 16/10/2008 07:53

Pigley - That's awful news, but sadly not surprising. Is there any point in phoning the construction company and asking for some assistance? The worst part is that brick dust is red and stains anything that gets wet. ugh.
I'm for you about that.

SK - It's insane how time flies! I went to dry my hair yesterday (mostly because Aidan is fascinated with the hairdryer) and I look like a lion! My hair is past my shoulders. I've got a good two inches of roots..not a good look.

I've decided to find a way into town damnit! One of the local train stations has a ramp and I'm determined to give it a try next week.

Also girls..we've got another viewer on Friday so maybe we have found the sweet spot in our pricerange. Three viewers and the board isn't even up yet!

JODIEhadababy · 16/10/2008 08:28

Morning.

disney hope everything went OK yesterday.

SK was thinking the same, Sam is 15 weeks tomorrow, where does time go.

I am now the proud owner of a 'mover' Sam now moves 180 degrees in hs cot and rolls to his side and when he's lying on the floor he arches his back and pushes with his feet and 'crawls' along like that wanted him to stay put for a while longer yet! It does mean aswell that all this is ALOT more fun than sitting in his bouncy seat, but I can't put him on the floor as DS1 never leaves him alone!

minipinkscottish · 16/10/2008 08:45

Morning all! Hope all is well disney thinking of you xx

Abbie will be 18 weeks on Friday and I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. But she is a little dainty miss...was only 12lb 12oz yesterday and so will stay my baby for much longer

isaidboo · 16/10/2008 10:03

Jodie - my ds2 was a mover. At 16 weeks he could get out of the bouncy chair by leaning forward and getting his hands over the side and onto the floor. (obviously the bouncy chair was still attached to his bottom!) He crawled before 6 months. Poppy is 17 weeks and doesn't roll yet. She can shuffle about on her back, but not very purposefully. She moves most when she is cross! She has a cold at the mo so is a bit miserable

Hope you get into town mcchesers! There must be a way! And I hope you sell the flat soon.

Mummywannabe · 16/10/2008 10:45

HI all. I'm so rubbish at keeping up!

Re: hair loss - i'm losing handfuls at a time!

Max sleeps well at night 7.30pm till about 6am (dream feed at 10ish), doesn't sleep well during day but you can't have it all. He take 8 0z bottles 4 times a day then a 4 ounces (sometimes he only has a sip) when i dream feed him at about 10am.

He has green poos all the time, health visitor said this is fine?

TMI alert - anyone else had problems using tampons after baby? Makes me throb (sorry!) We have resumed relations and no problems there? Any ideas?

disneystar · 16/10/2008 10:57

just a quick post operation went well samuel home but very sore stitched and bruised just wanted to let you guys know hes in a bit of pain and got to give his meds now
thanks all so so much for the well wishes will post later

JODIEhadababy · 16/10/2008 11:37

That's great news Disney. Hope he recovers well now.

ponto · 16/10/2008 11:53

Great news disney, hope he feels better soon. Babies heal so quickly, I'm sure he'll get over the worst of it very soon.

Bryony slept through the night from 8.15 - 7.10 last night, so I'm hoping this is a breakthrough. Woke with v sore boobs this morning though!

Libra1975, I know you are having trouble with getting your LO to sleep through, you said in your last post you are feeding at 11pm. Are you waking the baby to feed then? I found with all 3 of mine that waking them to feed at 11 didn't make any difference to them going through the night (contrary to what Gina Ford says) and if I just left them to sleep their long sleep period would gradually lengthen out until they were sleeping through. I know all babies are different though.

mama2leah · 16/10/2008 12:11

glad it went well disney!

xx

isaidboo · 16/10/2008 13:09

ponto - I agree with you there. I have never woken any of my babies for a feed, but found the sleep gradually lengthened anyway. On occasional times they were fed at 11pm ish for whatever reason it made no difference. Lately I am finding Poppy wants a big feed at 6pm then refuses any more before bed. She still sleeps until about 1am.

disney - pleased to hear Sam is home xxx

Momma23 · 16/10/2008 13:11

Disney
So glad op went well and little Sam is on the mend. Take care of yourself and speedy recovery for Sam.

L is on 7 oz feeds has 5 in the day, doing the night from 8 till 730. But while she is good DD1 and 2 are stil waking 1 or 2 times a night. Cant have it all, but it sure is great to have sleep again. Had my hair done yesterday and i feel like a women again woo hoo..

isaidboo
L has a cold too poor thing. Time of year i guess.

Off to get DD1 to re dress again, She strips as soon as she gets in the door for play group!! Why o why...

sweetkitty · 16/10/2008 14:24

Disney - glad everything went well with the op, loads of cuddles for your little man he will heal quickly babies are amazing.

Am so at all these babies sleeping through, B went to bed at 7.30pm and was up again at 8.10pm stayed up until 11 when she had a feed then fell asleep with me until 4ish I think then to 6am. Will so have to sort her sleep out one day.

Minipink - must be the name my Abbie was and is really dinky, she was the same weight at 8 weeks her sister was at one, she's now tall and all legs.

Bethany is a mover too although she can only roll one way get stuck and cry so far oh and spins 180 on her head.

Poledra · 16/10/2008 16:10

Disney so pleased to hear all went well - big hugs to Sam and to you. Hope you managed to get through yesterday OK.

Minipink, Orlaith was 12lb 2 yesterday too, but she's only 12 weeks. Dinky is not a word you'd ever use for any of my dds

Got the letter yesterday telling us that the paediatricians do not want to see Orlaith again, as all her blood counts are back to normal . She has to continue the folic acid until she's weaned but other than that, she's done. Is Rafferty's HDN all over now, CilC?

purplejennyrose · 16/10/2008 16:14

Disney best wishes to you all.

I've also never had any success waking for dream feed - in fact with Florence it seemed to make it even more likely that she would wake again two hours later at 1am!!

minipinkscottish · 16/10/2008 17:18

disney thanks for posting to let us all know about sam.... been thinking about you both all day xxx so glad things went well xx love and hugs for a speedy recovery xxxxx

ds4 still not too well today and he has been more hyper than usual and very naughty....drew all over wall in sitting room and then very weepy....spoke to friend and they thought it might be the salbutamol (sp?) inhaler as doc told me to increase doses while he is poorly...anyone else experienced this? xx

pigleychez · 16/10/2008 18:10

Disney- glad things went ok... Wishing Sam a speedy recovery

Mini and SK- My Abigail is a slim jim too.Shes 12 weeks today!! (Shock) and is 10lbs 13ozs
She only just starting to wear her 0-3mth clothes.

Abigail slept 8 till 6.30 last night with a 11pm dreamfeed so hoping thats a sign of things to come we shall see.
After her feed at 6.30 she went back to sleep till i woke her as we were due out this morning. She point blank refused her
bottle! I tried again abit later but she still didnt want it.. had a few mls tops. We went about our day and she didnt feed again till 12.
She hasnt been too fussed on her morning bottle for a while so maybe she will drop this feed soon...see what happens tomorow.

Poledra- So glad that Orlaith got the all clear.

Quick question about Injections- Abigail had her first lot at 8 weeks and was told she would have her second lot at 12 weeks. She is 12 weeks now and i havent heard anything from the surgery. Should i have booked them myself? The first appointment was booked for me and i was sent a letter.

isaidboo · 16/10/2008 19:02

they normally make you an appt while you are there pigley. Our surgery only sends a letter for the first ones.

pigleychez · 16/10/2008 19:10

Thanks isaidboo

Ill give them a ring in the morning and see if I can get them in soon.
