sorry - just read my post - not feeling guilty, feeling JEALOUS!

Egg · 13/11/2008 14:25

My tips for weightloss. Eat crap. I seem to be living on chocolate, rice crispy cakes, pizza, leftovers etc and my weight has gone down to EIGHT STONE! It even went to 7st 13 the other day. I do think it is also that I am a bit stressed at the mo, not actually eating a huge amount of food, just bad food, and rarely sit down for any length of time during the day. I don't do much walking at the mo as pushing double buggy with DD in front sling is getting to be a PITA, and if DS1 is walking we dont go far, so it is not exactly exercise for me.

Have just ordered a Bush Baby Elite though. So then I can carry any of the DCs and it will (I hope) be easier to push buggy at same time. Anyone got one?

Egg · 13/11/2008 14:27

for Omy and Beany

Egg · 13/11/2008 14:32

BTW anyone else's babies got stinky foul breath? I clean their teeth twice a day and they stink. Esp DS2 .

gingermumi · 13/11/2008 19:55

naughty egg

omy · 13/11/2008 20:10

egg - you are one of those lucky people who are naturally slim - but seriously I am worried about you! You seem to have no time to yourself - except mumsnetting obviously! Is there such a thing as a triple buggy? or a double one with a buggy board at the back for DS1? The weather is too crap to be out in pushchairs much anyway.

Haven't noticed bad breath - but no teeth to clean here anyway.

Got back from parents eve at 7pm so only had half an hour with LO this evening she sucked me dry and went off to bed without complaining - dearest heart child.

The giles guy looks like a slime ball - what is the one show? sorry to be so ignorant!

CountTo10 · 13/11/2008 21:21

Beans - glad cm is going well. The build p to going back is horrible. Ds2 did his first 2 full days at nursery this week and luckily he loves it, I just hated leaving him!! Only problem is he's not sleeping well there so hoping that will settle soon. Now the only problem we have is ds1 who is not adjusting to change well and seems to be unhappy at his preschool so not great at the mo.

I made the mistake of going into work this week to help someone out and what a disaster. In 3 days I did 25 hours and haven't had a word of thanks. Supposed to be going in against next week but might not bother. Its a bit weird as its not the actual job I'll be going back to so it feels weird. Plus its time I'm not getting to use to sort my life out before going back which I could seriously do with!!! Just feel a bit mixed now about working cause I really missed the boys and wasn't really happy being at work but I'm hoping when I go back officially I'll feel a bit more settled about it. I think it'll help that when I do go back in december, my mum will be having the boys one day which I'm hoping will settle ds1 at least.

I don't know there's always something!!

Ginger - hope toby is a lot better, must have been very frightening for you all.

I can't even begin to discuss x-factor - they need to get rid of louis walsh, he is such a muppet!!

Still no teeth here although fingers crossed (again!!) they are finally on there way as we have a very red bum and lots of restless nights and gumpiness. I just don't know how much longer we can cope!!!

omy · 13/11/2008 22:08

count - sounds like they don't appreciate you at work so no wonder you are not looking forward to going back!

Egg · 14/11/2008 06:58

Sorry I kept meaning to come back and say I did not recommend my poor diet .

On the days I eat meals with DS1 I eat well, and DH and I eat supper together on Weds/Fri/Sat and we eat well then too (tons of veg) but if I am not eating a meal with someone I am crap.

Count I would be at no word of thanks re the work. Hope your DS1 settles soon. My DS1 took a few weeks to settle into his new group at nursery (he moved into the older group in September) but has now stopped sobbing when I leave him saying "I dont want to be a badger" . DTs dont care when I leave them, but they still dont sleep well at nursery, prob as it is only one day a week so they never get used to it properly.

beansprout · 14/11/2008 09:49

Count - that's rubbish of your employer not to appreciate you . I have done a few KIT days but sort of wish I hadn't as I'll be there soon enough and I just feel like it has eaten into my last bit of time with ds2.

I wish I could lose weight on Egg's diet!!

Ginger - how is Toby?

Hi to everyone else? How is tyaca? Is she pregnant or did I dream that?!!

leesmum · 14/11/2008 10:17

Hi ladies x

Beany its nice to hear from you, i gather you are just as busy as i am at the moment and struggle to get on here! Are your boys ok? ... and yes Tyaca(swottybetty) is pregnant, she is due in May i think.

Ginger how is your little man now? you must have been out of your mind with worry, big hugs for you and Toby x

Count, thats so unfair of them to treat you like that at work, it's bad enough for any mum going back after mat leave but to be treated like that makes it worse.

Omy you'll wake up one morning and your lo will have a full set of teeth!!!

Egg i wish i didn't have to watch what ieat so much, you must be very lucky to be so naturally slim. Im glad your dd is now laughing, it's great when older children make them laugh

James now has 6 teeth and this past week has been a bit rough for him, i took him for his 8 month check in the week and he weighs 21lb, the HV seemed shocked that he wasn't crawling or walking, stupid cow, i told her he'd do it when he was ready, i wish they wouldn't presume that babies should be doing certain things at certain ages

Missnat, dont be worrying about your weight too much, and you are certainly not obese! Before you put anything in your mouth just think "do i really want this?" and lots of fruit and water helps as well, although it's not as nice as a glass of wine and some choccies

I hope everyone else is doing ok, i'll try and get on over weekend if i get chance but ds1 has a party on sat and sun, so i'm a bit busy!!! And he is going to be a snowman in the school play, i asked him if he had to say anything or sing and he said "dont be silly mummy Snowmen can't talk"...that's told me then.

Egg · 14/11/2008 13:29

Leesmum am that your HV was expecting your DS2 to be crawling and or walking by now. Hope you are not worried as you can see from this thread that many babies (mine included) are not crawling yet, and some are older than yours. I know of a few babies who have not crawled til well over a year and seem completely developmentally normal. Mine didn't seem phased at all and even when HV came round last week did not seem at all bothered that DD is not crawling yet at 10 months.

Very cute to picture Lee as a snowman. Hope you can get a pic of him for us. DS1 is taking part in the nursery Christmas Concert this year, not sure what he will be doing yet. I am presuming it will be a very minor role! No doubt he will be on stage with Blankie...

I was never naturally slim before I had children, I have never been particularly big, but used to be very careful about what I ate 90% of the time, and did a fair bit of exercise (mainly exercise bike). My sister was the same and only started putting a bit of weight back on when her third child was about 2, so maybe it will happen to me too and I will have to go back to being more careful. To be honest I need to evaluate my poor diet as it can't help when I am feeling like shite and I get mouth ulcers a lot at the mo too.

DS2 was awake at 11:30, 2:40 and then from 4:50am onwards last night after drinking less than half his bedtime milk. We ignored him... He seemed ok just thirsty this morning.

I decided to bite the bullet and go into town with all three today on my own. DS1 walked all the way there, played on the town swings, walked to M&S with me, was a good boy while we did a little bit of shopping, then walked to the leisure centre where we all had lunch (not much fun as babies tired and hungry by the time we arrived but DS1 enjoyed his and he deserved a treat), then he walked home. Was very proud of him. He was dragging his little legs a lot before we stopped for lunch but insisted he wasn't tired.

I worked out it is 9 weeks tomorrow until my babies are ONE YEAR OLD! That means Ginger's DS is only 8 weeks I think! And I guess ladlemonke's little girls are already one! Wish she came back to see us...

Oh Omy nearly forgot. I have a double buggy with a buggy board, but DS1 doesn't like it and wont let me go faster than about 0.002 miles per hour when he is on it. I also have a buggy pod, which he loves, but it makes the buggy way too heavy on one side and is near on impossible to push. If it had fit through my front door I would have got an abc buggy with toddler seat but can't be faffed with not being able to get into my house! I still want one, but they cost a fortune even second hand and as DS1 is getting older it seems less and less worth it.

swottybetty · 14/11/2008 14:13

hello, i am here and pregnant. nice to hear from you.

oh jeez leesmum, why would a HV go and be an ass like that?? if you were a first time mum, that comment could have really thrown you .

dd not crawling, she can side step her way along edge of sofa, and has even pushed her toy box along while standing for a few steps, but when she find herself lying on either front or back she flails helplessly like a beached fish .

spurred on by toy box pushing, we bought a wooden walker from ELC yesterday. nice looking one with coloured blocks in it. the self assembling was biggest test of our marriage since ....erm, well actually last week when in a hormonal preg mess i accused DH of being a "woman-hater" (he has since forgiven me. damn, forgotton what a blardy mess i am at this bit of PG). so this walker is basically impossible to put together, pieces dont fit. dh taken it to the Design and Technology Dept at school today to see if they can get it together .

is everyone else teeth brushing?? dd has two half teeth and have yet to brush them. she has a fair bit of fruit maybe i should??

egg - i think gill has a bushbaby. btw, i am slowly coming round to the name terry . you have dinner on your own a lot. i would eat complete shit if there wasnt someone with me. i dont think i've posted since your confession about liking daniel on x-factor. are you being ironic????????

count, why can you not talk about x-factor?? have you noticed that louis walsh is getting outed on every tv show at the moment? not getting thanked by work for doing 25 hrs on hop like that would make my blood boil. are you going back to do a dif job when you start work again??

omy - dh seems to have a dif parents evening every blardy night. and tomo is xmas fete. hmmmppppphhhhhh. roll on july

swottybetty · 14/11/2008 14:16

i dont grin nearly as much in RL btw

Egg · 14/11/2008 14:39

I did like Daniel when he came in and sang and said he had recently lost his wife and he had a small baby and I blubbed while drinking wine.

I think he is a nice man. It is not his fault silly Danniiiiiii put him through when it should have been the very pretty girl with a fab voice whose name I forget.....

DD is a real whinger today.

I still don't like the name Terry.

The hardest thing I ever put together was an ELC trampoline.

DS2 likes to walk with the vtech walker.

DD likes to cry.

She is crying so loud I can't hear Home & Away .

gingermumi · 14/11/2008 14:57

Heya all. Just a quick post as am at work Toby doing ok but atill gets tired. Only sent him to nursery for half day, dd1 picked him up at lunch time. Don't think he was too happy but we have to start somewhere.

Whispers....I'm pregnant!

Egg · 14/11/2008 14:59

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD THAT'S EXCELLENT NEWS GINGER, I KNOW YOU WERE HOPING.

Bloody hell.

You must be feeling shattered with Toby being ill recently.

So pleased for you. Bet Swotty will be chuffed too .

swottybetty · 14/11/2008 15:05

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when are you due????????

egg at least there's not sexy reasoning behind the daniel liking. unlike my shamless JLS thing.

Egg · 14/11/2008 15:08

God no.

He is not sexy.

So excited about TWO pregnant Feb ladies.

Gosh.

Either of you want my double Mclaren?

Egg · 14/11/2008 15:09

Oh I am so excited.

I can't get off the thread.

.

DS1 having a good sleep after his mammoth walk this morning.

DTs beating each other up whilst watching teletubbies.

I ate a jacket pot with cheese and beans today, with a salad. Then half a choc chip cookie with DS1.

So I am doing ok today. I had Ready Brek for breakfast too.

And we have chicken tonight.

Mondays are worst. Nobody here so I eat sh*t all day.

TWO BABIES!

And maybe maybe one of you will get twins.....................

alkar · 14/11/2008 15:12

I went for a filling last week and the dentist hit a nerve so I can still bearly eat aything and before that I had a stomach bug. I am now down to my target weight but its not a diet I would recommend!

DS got another tooth this morning so thats 6 now but I think others may be close as he's still drooling loads, has bad nappys and nappy rash.

Taking your walker to the design and technology dept - thats cheating swotty although I am jealous you have that option. FIL is coming over tomorrow to fix the drawers and wardrobes myself and DH put up 6 months ago. The drawers dont even shut . And egg we have bougth that trampoline for DS for christmas, is it really that hard?????

gingermumi · 14/11/2008 15:13

only found out at weekend, early days. Am shattered yes, can't tell if it's the toby thing, being pregnant of a bit of both! Am a tad shocked didn't think it would happen...it took two years to make ds. Due 21st july i think. When are you due swotty?

alkar · 14/11/2008 15:13

Congratulations ginger

gingermumi · 14/11/2008 15:16

Wanted twins with ds not sure it would be so good now....5 children would be a lot to cope with. I know big ones are grown but even three under two would be difficult! Wonser who'l be next?

Egg · 14/11/2008 15:16

WOW! It took 18 months to get DS1 and about 18 seconds to get DTs .

21 July is nearly my bday .

Alkar we have dodgy poos to accompany teething here.

Trampoline was impossible, but I was trying to do it on my own without DH, and I just didn't have the brute strength! It still has a screw only half in 2 years later. Have to get it down from loft again after Christmas I think.
