The thread title is for the January babies who have become/are soon to be big brothers and sisters

Can't remember all from last thread except
Wilie congrats on the move and hope visit to vino goes broodily well
eandh - potty?!! Aleady?!! I'm only just getting there with ds1!!
DH - I went to a wedding on due date with ds1, but that was because I wanted him out. Alas, despite energetic ceilidhing, to no avail! Also went to Halifax for a wedding when about 38 weeks with ds2 (on Loosh's ds's bday in fact!), was a little nervous in case I went into labour so far from home, but didn't exactly expect to go early (just as well, eh?). But I guess is different if you're going for a c/s

UD - I did a test yesterday cos I have been eating like a horse, weeing like a trouper and have had some weirdy brown discharge but no period although period isn't particularly late (my cycles are erratic) and it was neg. It would be a long shot cos DH and I haven't had sex for 2 weeks and that was prob on about day 9 of my cycle - I usually ov about Day 15. I'm not bothered either way really - I would rather wait a while to have another but if I was, it would be nice and we would just get on with it.

Oh, my job - I am so fed up with it! They kepe moving my start date back because of delays with the paperwork. It is now going to be mid-Aug which is really frustrating, I am desperate to get started.

I'm loving 18 months too. I think it is cos I can have a conversation with J and understand what he wants. Hecan string three words together just about if he is in the mood but mostly it is like this: DH put shaving foam on J's nose yesterday and J came running into me saying 'Daddy! Nose! Shave! Naughty!' He is such a cutie and nusery said yesterday that I wasn't allowed to move him as he is such a character and will be really missed

eandh · 23/07/2008 12:40

Wilkie - hope you are feeling better now, maybe something you ate?? Is J leaving nursery when you start work then (is he still at the same one as when you were renting the otehr house?)

PCF - You arent the only one counting down we have 47 days to go

Went to ton, bumped into my Mum got a few more bits in Next sale and then went to local childens independent show shop and all sale shoes reduced to £5 so got H some pink sparkly clarks trainers, they are a bit big but woman said they are fine width wise and will be perfect for the autumn. Meant to have gone out with Eddas this afternoon but ehr car making funny noise took it to garage (met her in town and collected her dd to came home with us as not sure how long car would take) and someone cut off their catalyst converter last night (right outside their house ) apparently worth money in scrap metal, then garage phoned to say she needed 2 new tyres and to top it off she lost her mobile in town. So I am going to keep her dd for a few hours so she can go home and have some peace and quiet (I think she needs it) my house is wrecked though

We are going to see Mamma Mia tonight so that'll hopefully cheer her up a bit

vinorouge · 23/07/2008 17:10

Wilkie hope you are less pukey after a day of rest.

E&H - enjoy mama mia, I have always fancied seeing that. I think pcf's idea of an envelope to ellie from her fave character is a good idea.

Pottered at home this morning after a walk to tesco. Snoozed a bit before rgee arrived to enjoy some cuddles with sylvie and a stroll in the sunshine. Ellen has been on a trip with nurserty to flamingo land so won't be back til 5.3oish. I also love 19 months - can't wait til Sylvie is this age.

Susie - hello again! Glad to hear DH is working nearer so you are getting more family time.

DH - I went to a physio group session which was quite hepful for me. Much sympathies for struggling to turn over in bed....

UD - am being nosy. What takes you to Eastbourne on Saturday? (if you get to the beach i will be jealous)

Wilkiepedia · 23/07/2008 20:05

I still feel SICK! Bleurgh. The nursery workers have apparently had a similar bug so it is going round - typical of me to pick it up.

Vin/Reg - am so of you meeting up. I could have come and brought my D&V? Non?

EAH - so exciting - think PCFs idea is a good one

DH - hope you are feeling better mate. My BF had SPD and she was in agony from about 12 weeks so I have seen it first hand.

eandh · 24/07/2008 10:07

Boo hoo, we went to cinema and didnt prebook as I am on orange mobile so you get 2 for 1 tickets on wednesday nights and all performances of mamma mia were sold out before 7pm so we got a will smith fix and saw hancock and we are going next week to see mamma mia (I'll go to the cinema in the afternoon and buy the tickets!!)

Just off to Leeds castle to meet friend and dc for a picnic soon so that should wear the buggers out entertain the girls!

Wilkie how you feeling this morning??

pcf - thats pants - I read your thread. Something similar happend to me last year. But luckily I'd got the seller to pay by cheque and had sent the item recorded so all bases were covered. Where does the buyer live?

wilkie - hope you feel better now, assistant manager at work had an evil weird bug too. Something is definately going around.

Well, my photo shoot yesterday will be in the Sun newspaper soon. Either next Monday or the one afterwards. They had us wear teeny weeny shorts first of all (hmm...attractive!) to show off all the cellulite etc, the shame of it! Then did hair and make up (tons and tons of makeup) and dressed us up in groovy purple dresses. Don't care what I look like though as should be getting £200 for it!!!!!

  • will pay for my back door to be fixed & hopefully for a course of pilates! fun!
Wilkiepedia · 24/07/2008 21:56

Lizz - ??? Did I miss something - what photo shoot?

PCF - poor Alex bless him

EAH - what was Hancock like? My sis really didn't like Mamma Mia.

Well, I am feeling tonnes better today and managed to lose 3lb not eating and having lots of poos. My stomach has stopped churning thank god. Ugh, felt like sh*t

Had a fantastic day, mum came over last night so we spent the day pottering in the garden, the old owners left LOADS of potted plants and shrubs so we sorted them all out, repotted them. J hindered helped us by throwing mud, eating mud, treading in mud and running around the garden with a the sweeping brush attempting to clear up!!

Going over to Manc tomorrow to spend the day with DTs, dsis and mum. Can't wait. Hope the weather stays this nice. It was boiling this afternoon in the garden.

Have finalised the kitchen plans so gonna order this week. Looking forward to having it done. Have also agreed a price for having french doors knocked in through the garden into the dining area! Eek. So much spending going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reggiee · 25/07/2008 13:12

god it's bloody hot

eandh · 25/07/2008 14:51

Wilkie - glad you are feeling better, sounds like a bug, H had really bad tummy wednesday night but seems okay now. Hancock was okay, pretty easy watching, funny in parts but so worth seeing because it had will smith in it

Rgee - hope you are cooling down now, we went to leeds castle for picnic yesterday and walked miles got back home and I had to get in shower as I was so hot and sweaty then E & H decided to join me (E undressed herself, H got in with clothes on )

Lizz - we have the Sun every day so will keep an extra eye out on the beauty pages now!

FIL off work today so him and MIL taking kids out somewhere (lots of faffing about with car seats this morning) so hope they are having a nice day!

I am so me and laughalot are going to Dublin next February to meet up and have a weekend away without the kids, Laughalot found good flights (£26 return!!!) so need to book them later and hotel and whole weekend with shopping, eating, drinking an no men and no kids! Only 28 weeks and 1 day till we go

laughalot · 25/07/2008 14:57
Grin
Lizzzombie · 25/07/2008 15:23

thats soooo great - I am sooo jealous! I love Dublin. It used to have an Eds' Diner, which is my favourite place to recover after a night out.
And the Guinnnes Museum is fab, if only for the pint of it at the top in the groovy bar.
And don't even get me started on the shopping! (and the men!!! )

Wilkie - I did a product trial on lots of ridiculously expensive anti-cellulite/body firming creams - which of course didn't work, but thats ok, as the Sun wanted me to say they were rubbish and excercise is better, which it it. Some of the creams were about £70!!!! Imagine spending that much on a cream! Anyway, there was an (awful) before shoot and the after one was this week, and we should get paid £200 ish! So, that will pay for my back door to be repaired. (no innuendo - literally, its broken) And hopefully there will be enough to get on a pilates course too. Am desperate to rid myself of my baby bulge now. Am back to a size 14 again, but have this tyre around my belly.

Rgee - Its soooooooooooo hot here, I am melting. It seems to get hotter in the pm too. It was recently 20 degrees at lunchtime, then 28 degrees at 4pm. Whats that about???

Am off to my parents for a week on Sunday, so won't be around for a bit. Hopefully we'll get there ok. As have mates staying on Saturday night with there ds who is 15mo. So it will be baby city here in our very small house! Am not expecting much sleep. Then have to drive 4 hours to Dorset. Ugh!
BUT - am shopping at Street discount village on Tuesday. So hopefully will get my groovy mum shoes there!

Big hugs to you all - am feeling full of lurve - think I need an ice cream to cool down xxx

laughalot · 25/07/2008 16:10

Its sooo hot thats my hot face !!!!

Yep me and eah off too dublin watch out boys lol. A dh and child free weekend bliss. Hope our flights arent delayed as one of us may be on our own in dublin .

Off out tonight on a works night we won a meal in a hotel plus a abba tribute night should be a laugh free drinks till 11 aswell .

Right sorry no time for prsonals but need to straighten my hair.

Reggiee · 25/07/2008 19:40

Eah & Lal - just looked to see if I could join you . Ryanair flights from Leeds were £9.98 including taxes!!!! Watch out, we might all be coming

Lizz - will miss you . Do your folks not have internet? Need you to tell me when to buy the Sun.

Wilkie hope you had a fun time in Manchester. We must arrange a date btw. WOuld love to see J agaon soon (oh - and you of course )

PCF I really don't understand how PayPal found in the other persons favour. Wankers. How was day 2 of the holidays?

Vino lovely to see you on Wednesday. You looked fab, and ahhhhhhh I am still so broody. Got lots of cuddles though to keep me going. S was really good - so content.

Welcome back Susie. Stay with us! Glad life is a bit more settled for oyu.

Much cooler now ta. Funny old day today. The decorating is driving me mad. Never realised how messy it is having half your house plastered. Gahhhhh! Dreading in a fortnight where we have to completely clear three of our rooms so the ceilings can be done. Anyway, me & lo aimed to spend much of the day out of the house. It took c 2 hours to walk a mile as we stopped to examine everey single leaf / stone / blemish on pavement etc. Came back with one stone, a bit of random plastic, a dried leaf, 4 daisies, 2 buttercups and a dandilion.

Wilkiepedia · 25/07/2008 19:55

Hola

Yes we must meet up soon. Are you free on Tuesdays Vin/Reg?

EAH/LAL - Dublin is FANTASTIC! You HAVE to go to Fitzers restaurant - the most AMAZING food, DH and I went with our best mates a few years ago.

Lizz - COOL! Let us know when we will get to see your cellulite in the press. I can't believe you are brave enough to do that but very impressed!!

DH - how you feeling?

Had lovely day in Manchester. I want my mum to come and live up this way

Reggiee · 25/07/2008 20:08

I work Tues but could take one off in the coming weeks with advanced notice.

Maybe your mum will move closer with you and dsis both being M62 way.

vinorouge · 25/07/2008 21:22

Wilkie/Rgee - I couldn't do 12 Aug but any other Tues ok for me so will keep them free for now. btw rgee the lady i went for cofee with is called jo ( i realised i was going round but didn't know her name)

Hmmm S is not so content at the moment. Our lounge gets really hot so I should move upstairs but am feeling lazy.

Lizz did you decide on the clarks shoes then? I have been thinking about them a lot - might try them on.

Yesterday morning our neighbour blanked dh and dh said neighbours eyes looked towards the lawn (there is a bit of grass we both share so both mow...). We decided they meant it was our turn to mow it so in the heat this mornng I did it and our back lawn. Imagine my AAAGGGGHHH when this evening said neigbour is remowing what I did. Either its not short enought, not in straight lines or he is too thick to notice that its much shorter than it was this morning. I feel like not bothering again.

The dublin trip sounds good!

Wilkiepedia · 26/07/2008 13:41

Vino - that's not your nice neighbours is it?? What a W.A.N.K.E.R.

Vin - weird freaky neighbour let him do it from now on!

Wilkie - you feeling better?

Rgee - I know re cost of flights its cheaper for us to meet in dublin than in the UK !!

LTH - Both of mine have a gorgeous plain silver bangle but on the inside their names (First and middle) and their DOB are engraved. We bought each of them it for their 1st birthday, obviously they dont wear them at the mo but am hoping they'll like them when they are older. Other than that clothes in different sizes, maybe a really gorgeous pink blanket??

eandh · 26/07/2008 17:12

baby boquet but the 'flowers' are actually baby clothes folded in a very clever way

maybe a blanket with baby's name embriodered on it like this, sorry havent got time to google for better ones

Right need to get girls bathed we are going to a wedding at 7 and noone has eaten or been washed yet!!

Wilkie - no it wasn't my nice neighbours! We are going round there for roast lamb tomorrow followed by chocolate creme brulees (they have just been round to borrow my blow torch). Can't wait!

Another neighbour was strimming (yes using a strimmer not a mower) his lawn at 8am this morning. Bizarre.

Well E was awake at 5 so DH got up with her but then when he went out to play golf at 9.15 I took E&S out for a walk along the canal. Bit hot for it really but called in to see a friend on they way home who has just named her 2 week old baby Carys (she is welsh) and was havign her first day on own with both kids (her son is 2 months older than E) so we stayed about an hour. E played in paddling pool when we got home then I had to go to bed with a headache when DH got home.

LTH - I guess its a shock when they seem grown up in the flaash of a haircut! i noticed today thayt my friends son had longer hair than E.

Dh cooks a mean chinese so we have just enjoyed chicken and black bean with egg fried rice. Scrummy!
