still bleeding!

Hi, i have a question...i gave birth over 5 weeks ago and i am still bleeding! it stopped for a day abd then has started again and is still very red? it cant be my period as i started my pill after day 21, has anyone else had this problem? feeling quite concerned now, thanks x

I bled for 4 weeks, it stopped, I overdid it a bit and it started again.

Bright red and fresh bleeding can be a sign that you are doing too much and need to take it a bit easier.

Any pain? Does it smell funny at all? You may want to rule out an infection if you notice anything like this.

I bled for about 7 weeks afterwards, the midwife said it wasn't anything to worry about, as long as like ShowOfHands said and it doesn't smell.

It does seem to die down over night and then start again around lunch time? i have not got any pain and it doesn't smell? its just really getting to me now! i have got 6 week check next week so will ask doctor if its still doing it. cant really do any less though, i have a 4 year old and am resting when i can...

It really probably isn't anything to worry about, it sounds like mine was, and comes on more when you're active. I know it's a pain though. I thought it'd never stop! Definately mention it to the doctor, just because it's better to keep them informed anyway.

Rest as much as you can (although a bit hard with 2 children!)

hey, could use some advise again please! still bleeding!! i finished my packet of pills and immediatley had a period which was really heavy and horrible! but instead of turning brownish and tailing off its just gone back to that same as before, its driving me mad...has anyone else experienced this? have made an appointment at the doctors for next week will give it a little more time just incase it is period still...thanks xx
