I read in a magazine the other day that Nancy Sorrell and Gwyneth Paltrow got their flat tummies back after pregnancy by using the Agent provocateur maternity post control brief ( you can see it on their website). Thing is, it costs £70, so unwilling to invest unless I'm sure it works and theres no other more economical alternatives. Has anyone ever tried this one ( or others?) and be able to pass on some comments on effectiveness of this and other similar ones?
Many Thanks

I thought it was Spanx that Gwynnie went for?

Have not used the post-preg things but other spanx products are great

but they only give you a flat tummy with your clothes on, right?

I got some fab boob to knee knickers last week from TKMaxx for about £6, and a balcony bra for a tenner. Felt very Jessical Rabbit! Had a waist and everything!!

Ooh I take it you have been watching GOK foxy?

foxythesnowfox · 02/05/2008 16:12

LOL!

Yep! Infact, I went out in the heels/pencil skirt/belt combo that Gok suggested!

I heart Gok!

Ah now you've omitted the all-important scarf-tied-round-the-neck and red leather driving gloves combo!

Does this make us Gok-ettes?

foxythesnowfox · 02/05/2008 18:35

I wore a scarf to do the school run today

But I draw the line at the red driving gloves!

I am going into town today specifically to buy a scarf... The only scarves I own atm are winter woolies

I too have succumbed.... big belts next.

I bought it and it didn't really work. I mean you look good when its on but when you take it off the belly is still there. You'd be better of dieting.

I am 37 weeks today (and 39yo) and just bought some high waist pants to suck it all up, to pack into my hospital bag. A nurse friend of mine thinks it is a good idea for back support anyway and such things are recommended for people who have had abdominal surgery. This is my 3rd DC and I am not the type that pops back into shape so I will give anything a go. I kinda think if you show the skin and muscles where they are supposed to be then maybe they will be inclined to get back there a bit faster... I figure if it is not comfortable enough to wear the whole day, that I will at least put it on for the school run (can't mummies be bitches!) and for other outings where I might feel a bit self-concious.

I've got one of those Agent Provocateur post pregnancy corsets and my tummy did go back very quickly! (I'm quite big so it's not like I'm Posh Spice and just pinged back!)

Cripes... wish I'd known about them when I had ds!
