YCBS Grrrr to the start of your day. As you know, I am not a very 'doggy' person, and I always think people who have dogs are so good for walking them everyday, whatever the weather. I mean, I know you have to , but I don't envy you all that walking in the rain!! Poor Harry, actually, not poor Harry, poor Mummy.....let's hope he sorts his night from day out soon.

I don't really mind what time we meet on Friday, the weather is meant to be rubbish so walking around the park may be out. We may have to just sit in the cafe and eat cake . How about 12pm?? Maybe we should say between 12-12:30pm so that none of us get stressed if we are running a bit late. I have a bright green Bugaboo so I'm easy to spot!!!

Thanks for asking Mitchell. I am pleased to say that potty training is going remarkably well. DD1 has done all her wees in the potty since that initial accident on the kitchen floor first thing. We are not even telling or reminding her to go. She just stops what she's doing, says 'I need a wee wee', goes over to the potty and does it!!! She even refused the choc buttons Ihad bought as a reward for doing well, it seems the stickers are reward enough. I'm interested to see what happens next time she needs a poo.....

You see, I really am a very lucky mummy.....

luckymummy74 · 07/07/2008 16:15

oh Gawd, I hope I haven't just jinxed myself....

mumofkandj · 07/07/2008 20:11

lm74 at your trampoline incident! on sunday we were charging off to visit friends with a new trampoline, and K and I were on it in the rain. No major bouncing- K a bit scared- but I didn't even think of 'leakage'! I did get a wet bum from climbing on and trying to get K happy bouncing, and that was eugghh. it had been raining lots!
Well done to your dd on a fabulous start to potty week!fingers crossed it keeps going well.

TDONB- how horrible for you with the thrush your support has been so pants. I just hope you will be comfortable if mixed/formula-only is the way you have to go. Well done for persevering with all that pumping- you must be shattered doing all that. If nothing else is helping, you could try going to a registered homeopath. Not everyone's cup of tea (dh and I had our only proper row since J about me going and taking J), but the main thing for sceptics is it doesn't do any harm nd could well do some good (j's cough is almost gone, but hasn't convinced dh).
sorry magicfairy, we haven't had the 'awake in the night'patch yet- I've said it now, haven't I?! J co-sleeps too, and sometimes (2-r 3 times i think) will go 6-7 hrs, but then I've woken up a couple of times in there with full boobs! A normal night is 9ish, 2ish and 6ish. Now she's bigger we can feed lying down (earlier on she didn't empty the whole boob so one patch would get hard), I don't even wind her unless I've very awake(baaad mummy but much better rested!).
hugs all,and good luck with meet-ups. I hopefully won't be late for asics tomorrow!

Also jealous of these meet ups, unfortunetley no one lives this far north.

Pina maybe next time DH has exams we will come down and book another room and then meet up.

DS2 has his 8 week check and immunisations today so hoping I don't have a grumpy baby this evening.

Passport still not back but it has only been one weeek today since they received it so have not yet booked to go away next weekend.

YCBS - I agree with pina that the 6 & 8 week checks are the same, ds had his check at 6 weeks and will have his immunisations at 8 weeks but sounds like it depends on which area you live in.

LM74 - sounds like your dd is getting the hang of potty training!

Pina - we're not too far away from each other from what I remember so maybe we could arrange a meet up sometime

Mitchell81 · 08/07/2008 10:10

Don't quote me on photos, but last year did mine, DH and DS1 passport photos at home on a white or cream background just head and shoulder shots and they get them to the correct size(check ukpa website)and they were accepted.
I just did DS2 photos with him lying on a blanket and printed them on photographic paper, just waiting to hear back from them.

YCBS 8 week check they check length, weight etc. So probably the same as 6 week check with Paed.

luckymummy74 · 08/07/2008 11:29

Potty training still going well.....she woke up and announced that she doesn't need nappies anymore! One wee on potty so far today (no accidents!). She's still a bit scared to do a poo on the potty but I'm sure that will come....

Just waiting on news of two friends babies due anytime now.....one is 4 days overdue and one is in early stages....how exciting!!!

LM74 XXX

luckymummy74 · 08/07/2008 11:30

Sorry, I am just a bit pre-occupied with potties at the moment

magicfairy · 08/07/2008 11:40

hi all, i have a rare moment when both boys asleep, nappies drying and dishes done!

DS2 is sleeping better (dare i say it!), still wakes a lot i think, but as we co-sleep i dont really know how many times he wakes up as i litrally plug him on and go stright back to sleep, i just have to go to bed when he does, which is about 9pm, and not stay on the computer or watch big brother! He is getting better in the day now aswell, much happier to lie around being cute and have his brother kiss him loads! Now he is settling into more of a routine he has his 8 wk check and jabs tomorrow, just to cock things up!!

DS1 is being a nightmare at the mo, he has a back molar coming through and he really struggles with them, he throws a major tantrum whenever asked to do anything, hard work!!!

Right time to try and ctach up.....

LM74 - hope the potty training is still going well, i dread that time coming for ds1, how old is your dd1?

well thats this pages catch up, sorry for missing some of you out, but i can hear mumblings from the bedroom, bugger and i havent had a cuppa!

Duchess - hope things are improving with your feeding, i still highly recommend tiger milk. let me know if you want the recipe and i will find it.

Mitchell - hope the jabs went ok, horrid aret they, although i'm sure they are worse for us! I am also jealous of these meet ups but no-one lives this far south!!

ycbs - your dp sounds like my dh, but as we have a toddler aswell he can't get away with being crap and if ds1 wakes in the night i pretend to be feeding so he has to get up, and likewsie at 6 in the morning when ds1 likes to start playing! hee hee
the 6 wk and 8 wk check are the same, they dont do a 6 wk check here

magicfairy · 08/07/2008 11:42

oops, i dont know how i did that and put my last sentance in the middle

and i also apologise for my crap typing, i dont even have the one handed excuse!

luckymummy74 · 08/07/2008 13:14

YCBS LOL at the chocolate dog needing a pillow to sleep on!!

I must admit, for me personally, the potty training has been a breeze so far. The CM said I must have just got her at the right time. She even did a poo on the potty earlier, just went over to it and sat on the potty and did it. Unfortunately she stood up too quick and a little bit hanging from her botty landed on the floor, which she was most distressed at!!! LOL, she is her mother's daughter ( I am Monica Geller....). We were telling her how brilliant she was for doing her poo on the potty and all she could say was "but I got a bit on the floor!!". Bless her.....such a perfectionist like her mummy.....[extra proud mummy emotion]

Hope the Scotland meet up goes well....

luckymummy74 · 08/07/2008 17:37

I spoke too soon.....wee wee in pants!!! (Decided we needed to try her in pants)
Oh well, she's still doing really well.

Mitchell81 · 08/07/2008 20:05

DS2 jabs went well hardly cried at all and is now sleeping peacefully. He now weighs 6,5kgs.

I have another wound infection, well the one half of my c-section cut is still not closed and they keep checking it and trying different things and now saying it is infected. 3 cm of the scar is open on the one side. Hoping it now will heal with the anti biotics, will ask for another dose next week to make sure.

LM: You are making pottytraining sound far to easy will be going on the weekend to by a potty to get DS to get used to just sitting on it.
