kate79 · 12/01/2005 15:43

egypt just read your post about bottle and bf, i had the same conerns before i gave up bf in the end but i found the playtex bottle were great and DS didn't mind switching between the two

kate79 · 12/01/2005 15:45

god how slow am I, i only thought abnout it last wek that maybe there were chat rooms for mums DOH!

Bozza · 12/01/2005 15:46

Hi Kate introduce yourself and your baby?

Also were you born in 1979? Just wondered from the nickname.

kate79 · 12/01/2005 15:48

omg my spelling on that last one was terrible sorry guys i'll get the hang of it soon, typing has been of the menu for the last 9months, i'm a bit rusty.

Bozza · 12/01/2005 15:49

No Kate we have been mates since our babies were conceived. I actually made my first post on "due in May 04" before I even did a pg test and was bullied into doing one!

kate79 · 12/01/2005 15:49

Hi I'm Kate 25 from london with my first baby born 25/04/04 his name is Finn and he's sreaming his head off so might have to go in a mo.

kate79 · 12/01/2005 15:52

i've only just stared getting dressed in the mornings !! let alone turning on the computer

Bozza · 12/01/2005 15:52

kate youa re like Prufrocka nd ahve sneaked onto the May babies even though your baby was born in April.

kate79 · 12/01/2005 15:54

my due date was may 2nd so do i qualify

Bozza · 12/01/2005 16:00

Aha - thats like prufrock who was also due in May. DD was due 16 May and born 15th so bang in the middle. I was only joking you're very welcome to stay, or join April babies or do both (although that might be very time consuming). Can you tell I'm at work with not much on at the moment?

kate79 · 12/01/2005 16:03

i dream of going back to work. can't even remeber what it was like

cat82 · 12/01/2005 16:05

Bozza- Oooh, very clever, i'm cat82 because i was born in 82

Kate- i love the name Finn, that's two babies on this thread with names i considered for a boy! (i had a girl in the end and her name's Kiera )

Bozza · 12/01/2005 16:07

kate79 · 12/01/2005 16:08

Lol bozza, yeah i'm a spring ckicken me But i'm another year older this month....

Bozza · 12/01/2005 16:12

I think they are mainly first timers apart from me, Twiglett, Judd, Prufrock, Linnet & Casmie (formerly GeorginaA).

cat82 · 12/01/2005 16:26

I'm a first timer, i am actualy pg (see further down the thread, but unfortunatly i'm not going to be for much longer, as i'm not up to having another at the moment.

kate79 · 12/01/2005 16:45

SusiS · 12/01/2005 17:05

welcome kate!!! nice to see some new people on here
cat: i'll give you boring ()

omg, do i have to joing the april mums now????
ds was due 29/4!!!
but born 7/5 - and his name is lucas (for kate)

Casmie · 12/01/2005 17:12

Well you'll all be pleased to know that my kitchen is dry and the refridgerator all sparkly (AND I can actually fit baby food in the freezer compartment AND the ice cube tray drawer now... suppose that means I'd better make some!)

If you've seen my other thread in Education bit upset with the nursery at the moment where ds1 goes and also ds1 has been a bit more of a handful generally. We think it's due to the fact ds2 is becoming more "interesting" now - it's not just feeding/changing nappy/putting him in his cot for a nap, there's also play time eating into ds1's attention allowance.

Oh well, we had a few days of "aren't our boys beautiful and all is well in the world" before being reminded that we're parents and it just ain't that easy

Judd · 12/01/2005 17:41

Casmie - we've had a few high maintenance days with DD lately (just turned 3). Perhaps it is with the babies being able to do a bit more.
Domestic detail - DH is reupholstering our 2 sofas (one was pink, the other green and white check...nice combo!) all on his own! If its in the Collins DIY manual, he'll have a crack at it! He even strode macho-ly round the haberdashery dept at John Lewis at the weekend, selecting zips and comparing fabrics with the ladies.

egypt · 12/01/2005 17:48

no hadnt seen your thread casmie, will take a look.

welcome kate79

mears - i hope you are right. but she used to take a bottle no probs but went off it somewhere around 4/5 months. she would take one with water though but not milk. now she does. are you SURE she wont go off it?!??! proove it to me!

OP posts:
cat82 · 12/01/2005 17:51

Casmie- Fab freezer news

Susi- You do give me bored, that's what i meant!

What is it with DIY at the moment? Dp is in the process of ripping up the kitchen floor and fitting new shiny tiles. The only floor (please feel free to giggle at the pun) is that he has never fitted floor tiles in his life, and the job is extra complicated by the fact the kithen floor isn't exactly level, and he needs to do stuff like poor leveler all of the floor first, AFTER pulling up the current tiles AND the tiles underneath AND the tiles underneath those with a chissel. sigh .

Egypt- I never managed the bf thing sadly, so i can't give you any advice about your current probs, just wanted to let you know I hope it all gets better soon and i'm not ignoring your posts!

xxx

egypt · 12/01/2005 17:53
