24hr in recovery after c section

I can’t get over how insensitive the staff are. C-section this morning and I have to spend 24 hours in recovery due to a few complications, yet how on earth are you meant to ‘recover’ in here? Cleaning staff came in fucking about and I heard them say about 10 minutes “shit there’s a women in there”

Staff having full blown conversations while next to my bay, singing Mama Mia at 1.30am. Put a lady in the bay next to me with reduced movements and she’s watching TikTok’s on her phone while I have to listen to her babies heart beat and the monitors constantly going off. (not her fault obviously)
1hourly observations on me so as soon as I bf, settle baby and nod off they are back. Midwives not communicating so they keep coming in to do them when they’ve been done meaning I keep being woke up

one of the midwives just said I looked… ‘peaky’

Anyone got any funny experiences to cheer me up? Sad

Sounds awful for you, I hope things are better by now.
I stayed in for 1.5 days after first was born and I hated it. Most of the staff seemed to think all the mothers should know everything already. It was so awkward and I felt so on edge.
Part of the reason I had my 2nd at home.

Congratulations btw. Hope you have a smooth recovery.
