Like two different babies! Any advice?

Baby girl is 10.5 weeks. First time mum so please be gentle if I'm simply being paranoid!

Usually she's a happy mixture of calm vs absolutely mental. Usually her wake windows are an 2-3 hours in the day, since around 8.5 weeks.

Yesterday, she was relentless! Crying, tiny short naps, never taking a full feed. Squirming. Wouldn't be anywhere but my arms, wouldn't even go to her Daddy who normally she is obsessed with. Probably cried 70% of the day bless her.

Today, she's napped 80% of the day. Feeding more often and taking lots! Combi fed so mix of boob and formula. When she has been awake she's been impressively fluffing and trying her best to go poop which doesn't happen, then simply goes back to sleep (the pooping situation is fine according to HV/MW/GP). Her wake windows have been less than 1 hour all day then she has napped for 2-3.

Has anyone else ever felt like they woke up to two different babies one day to the next?

Should I just take today as a triumphant day as I've managed to do two loads of washing and ironing? Or is my baby broken?

Take it as a win definitely 😂 babies are masters at changing up the routine and making you stress about what's wrong. Enjoy it while it lasts. Really, do something for yourself while you have a chance. They're so bloody rare and fleeting 🤣

@Devilsmommy

Thank you! I think I jsut needed someone to bring me down to earth here lol!

Perhaps she's tired after yesterday's absolute melt down of a day 😂 x

@GLC789 🤣 the heat has made all babies and toddlers have personality changes imo😆

@Devilsmommy good point!! It went from 12 - 27 here over night! Poor girls probably didn't know what hit her!!

Yes, agree this is very normal. DD had her "off" day every few days and just put it down to development. She grew out of it after a few months.

To cope, we took those days especially easy, no pressure to do X, Y or Z.

@BecuaseIWantItThatWay thank you. So nice to know it's normal.

Kkw and behold, after her day of mostly napping today, she's been full of energy for thr last hour 😂😂 lovely timing! Hoping to high heaven she will sleep tonight 👀👀 x

Sounds like a little growth spurt 😄!! I haven't experienced two days in the row that are the same, it's so unpredictable!!
Yesterday he napped 15 per minutes for both naps and today 2 hours 😆 (he's 6 months btw)
