Morning all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jasper and Mathilda on Saturday!!! I cant believe they are walking!

B took 3 steps over the weekend, nooooooo!

The appointment went ok, she has been given an average height of 4'11. 5'1 with the growth hormone injection. It is up to us to decide what to do. She has been referred to everyone to be checked out, i am going to spend my life at the hospital. The consultant also told me to tell her all about it.

That was hard tbh, very hard. I have not explained about the fertility side of things just what she can understand and what it is. I had to tell the others too. She took it well, but is very upset about the injections. I think we will do them, worth it for an extra few inches as she is going to have enough problems to contend with when she is older The whole thing is just crap.

We have been away this weekend to a wedding. Just dh and i! Came back yesterday late morning, it was lovely. Great weather and a lovely family. I sat next to a Science teacher who has a little girl with Turners Syndrome in her A level class.

I am drowning in paper work, i have Jonah's appeal in 2 weeks that is scaring me to death. I have a physio app to book andn eye app for Jonah and Hugs, all Phin's app to sort out and a doc app for me tomorrow to find a pill that suits Never going to happen.

The fecking car also decided not to start this morning, a friend took the boys and i took hers. I am so pissed off with it all. The baby woke at 345 and screamed until 5, dh snoring next to me too.I am not sleeping well.

Have skimmed caught up so apologies for my slackness.

cameroonmama · 12/05/2008 10:58

Happy birthday Lauren and Beabea!

LG&T, things are really conspiring against you. It will all calm down and settle into some kind of 'regularity' if you can call it that. Personally I think 5ft 1 sounds like a great height to be I know you will have done a marvellous job explaining to all the dc, especially Phin, what she will have to go through and together you'll all get through it. We will be here for you to rant/cry/drink copious amounts of gin/bake cakes with for. Is Jonah's appeal to get him into the other school?

April I forgot to say congrats on the new house, how very exciting! Meadowham Palace. Can't wait to see pics. Talking of pics, E in that Minnie dress, so cute it shouldn't be allowed. Any news on your bfp?

Creena sounds like you and the bump are doing well. I deffo felt number 2 and 3 very early.

Glad you are feeling better mrsJB, though the name change puts me in mind of a buxom brothel keeper, have you turned les cerises into a hotbed of promiscuity? If so can I come and stay?

We had a lovely party yesterday for J, he ate lots of cake, especially luminous green icing and had a ball.

MKG · 12/05/2008 14:19

Oh Happy Birthday to all.

LG&T, don't worry. Just do one thing at a time. It will all happen just breathe.

And just think you could be like this woman I saw on the news who lives in Arkansas. She is 41 and pregnant with her 18th child.

SKYTVADDICT · 12/05/2008 17:05

Hi all

Happy Birthday to those I've missed.

Haven't had time to catch up much.

Hope you are ok LG&T. Like MKG says, one thing at a time.

I am a bit overwhelmed with the heat at the mo and not coping with being tired etc. I know I do too much but can't seem to drop any friends/toddler groups/gym/brownies and swimming etc and end up in tears because I am so tired.

The childminders little girls has got chicken pox so I think that will be it for us in a couple of weeks. Cal was with her Thursday and Friday (she got the spots Thursday). Don't think we'll miss it this time. One of her charges had it two weeks ago so we may even get it sooner rather than later - he has a very runny nose today and has been very clingy.

AbbyLou · 12/05/2008 17:19

Hi all.
LGT glad things went ok at the appointment. You and her will have a lot to deal with but I can't think of a better mum to do it.
Sky, fingers crossed for you but it doesn sound as though the pox may well be on their way. What a nightmare in this heat!
We had a wonderful day yesterday. The weather was beautiful, really hot and sunny. We had just the right of food so no wastage and have loads of drink left - jolly good! The kids (my 2 and my niece and nephew) were brilliantly behaved and had a ball. We had the paddling pools out and all the garden toys. We hardly had to watch them at all. R had a whale of a time. She wa sabsolutely ditched last night. She was black as the ace of spades from crawling around the garden, in and out of the mud, sand pit and water! Let's hope the weather is like this every year for her birthday.

LGT just caught your news 4ft 11 is what I am - just make sure she knows that Next are the only place that sell deent jeans, its alot to take in you are all amazing

Just had a great evening at work, to cut a long story short - I did do a longer version earlier but somehow it got deleted. Dp and I had a long chat - he was jealous and I have told him he's being ridiculous and that he should talk to me not just get the arse and push me away - so he has been as happy as larry today - even singing apparently, I think the fact that I started moving my stuff into guest room made him sit up and listen - so for now all is well

Oh and my baby carrier arrived - oh yes phil and teds have done it again, its fab, will try and give it a longer test run tomorrow

Have also decided no point in wasting time and taking dd out of school next week - she says no one plays withh her and they are all in thier little groups all ready -being a little school I thought this sort of thing wouldnt happen but in truth the kids seem to have formed a very tight knit group and dd wont join in because of her asthma, feel ever so sorry for her, dp dropped her off the other day and she was just stood there skipping on her own, OMG she will be at home all the bloody time I am sectretly looking forward to having my little buddy back with me, she is so nice and polite when she isnt worn out from school

AprilMeadow · 13/05/2008 00:12

largeginandtonic · 13/05/2008 08:07

AM I know just where you are coming from chick.

I have a pic of Phin in a minnie dress when she was 2, dancing in the pretend shower in the High Street in Disney Paris. The parade is going on around her. It is one of my most fave pics, i must dig it out and show SOH and PINK when they get here.

The car is fixed >

Docs today that will be fun. I am going to have to explain my life history of nightmare AF. May take a while. Work first, oh the joy

Lups glad dh has cheered up, numpty that he is

largeginandtonic · 13/05/2008 08:08

Oh and happy belated birthday to Lauren and Beabea (i do so love that name)

Pebblemum · 13/05/2008 09:18

LG&T sounds like your life is still a bit hectic. im glad Phin took the news ok, i dont blame her being upset about the injections but she will be fine. As for height im 5.2 and my sis is 4.11 and we've got on fine. I used to moan about it when I was younger and my friends suddenly grew taller than me but then i realised that it doesnt matter how tall you are, you are still the same person whether you are 5 or 6ft and if i want to look taller i just wear heels lol. I know Phin will have other issues to deal with as well as height but Im sure she will be able to cope with it all, she has a very styrong and loving family to help her through it all.

Happy birthday to all Ive missed, haven't been on pc for days, too busy enjoying the sun (while it lasts lol)

Took the DC's to the beach for a picnic after school. It was a last minute decision so I just packed the essentials ie food, drink, football and towel for our feet. Of course Ethan managed to his shorts soaked by a huge wave that caught him unaware and so he had to come home in wet pants lol. Alana loved playing with the stones and tried eating sand, several times (you would have thought she'd have learnt the first time that its not very nice) We didnt get home until 9pm by which time the dc's were so tired they were all asleep within 15mins so i had a lovely peaceful evening.

Alana is finally getting another bottom tooth She's only had two there for ages, hopefully her bottom teeth will catch up with the top ones soon, making it easier for her to bite.

Has any other LO's had a dicky tummy since the weather changed. Alana is giving me about 4 smelly nappies a day which is so unlike her (shes a regular one a day lol)She doesnt normally get it when she is teething and it isnt my cooking lol so the only thing i can think of is the sudden change in weather. Shes still her normal happy self so I dont think she is suffering and she is still eating and drinking. I have been giving her lots of water to make sure she isnt getting dehydrated but i dont know how i can help get her back to normal, any ideas?

Madamejaffa · 13/05/2008 11:45

AM

Pebble the beach sounded lovely.... I miss the beach! Jorja does 3-4 stinkers a day anyway so it could be that A's system has changed, more solids, less milk, more water = more waste. Sorry but it sounds like it could be normal to me. lol

Good luck at the dr's lg&t, I hope you find something to suit. Have you tried Cilest? it's the only one that really agrees with me once settled.

Lupins..... how you getting on with the patches? I'm itching to know. Do they work?

Sky... try to rest!

It's another scortcher here today, the pool is upto 22°, just a few more and I maybe able to bear it. H was in on saturday at 20°

I ordered two pairs of Birkentocks last night off the net... can't wait for them to arrive, my feet are hot!

Is anyone else feeling slightly weird that thier baby has reached or is nearly one. I just can not believe where the year has gone. She doesn't seem one at all, I'm sure we've lost a few months, she is only 6mths at the very most!!! I have missed her being a baby, where did our snuggle time go? I haven't had chance to enjoy it like I did with Harrison or (Maddie) to some extent. I feel a little

Pinkjenny · 13/05/2008 11:51

Hi all

Done a quick catch up, deep breath, here goes...

Happy Birthday and belated wishes to Matilda, Jasper, Lauren and BeaBea

Pebble - lordy that was an eventful holiday, glad you had a great time and about the hot tub.

Lups - about dh, I have the opposite problem, I want to give up work but my dh is too tight to allow me to. Despite the fact that he earns more than enough on his own.

LG & T - Kylie is only 5'. Hasn't done her any harm . My mum is 5' too. Can't wait to meet your lot. And you, of course, .

Spril - at the Tiffany necklace. Am trying to get a Tiffany bracelet out of dh for my birthday, so far to no avail. Thanks so much for the dress, you must let me know how much I owe you.

L is OK. She's covered in a rash, head to toe (and yes, I did go to A & E), apparently its viral. I think its a heat rash and reaction to the suncream. She is also full of a snotty nose. Have just been in tears in work cos the nursery rang and told me she'd done a black poo. I was completely white with panic until I remembered my grandad had given her a blackcurrant tart yesterday. Am still panicing a bit though.

She's not walking, only if we hold her hands, although she is standing unsupported, very briefly.

She is destined to be covered in this rash for her birthday, I reckon.

Big hugs to all the preggers May mummies, who must be feeling this heat something chronic.

Pinkjenny · 13/05/2008 11:52

April, not Spril. Trying to type fast so I don't get caught in work!

cameroonmama · 13/05/2008 12:01

Pink my dc when they were babies had terrible reactions to suncream - Nivea in particular. Not helpful when you live in the tropics. Ambre solaire is the kindest one we have found. Also she is highly likely to suffer prickly heat if she has sensitive skin, not much you can do but you can dust her down with a wee bit of talc, though some are anti-talc. I always found pure cotton clothes, a cold wipe down and if possible no clothes on at all helps keep it at bay!

Also Pebble the runny bots could well be because of the heat, probably she is drinking more to compensate and that is sure to make her go more often. I wouldn't worry too much.

Funny to think of you all in the heat. Its 24 deg here pretty much day in day out. But it gets lovely and cool at night. Perfect. But we don't have a pool like the posh one does

Pinkjenny · 13/05/2008 12:04

Cam - I'm just hoping the rash and the black poo aren't connected?

largeginandtonic · 13/05/2008 12:22

They are not, stop paniking. Mine have had bright green poo and once red. They were of course eating paint the day before (washable)

The kids are all due to go away the weekend you both come down, it is begining of half term here. I will have to abandon you both on Saturday to drop them off It usually takes me about 4-5 hours to do the round trip so you will have to fend for yourselves. Will you be ok?

Cam 24 every day, oh the inconvenience It is boiling here, all the kids love it and are out playing till late.

I still want a holiday of April.

Pebble the nappies sound normal, B does up to 5 a day sometimes! I blardy hate it, he wriggles away too now.

Pinkjenny · 13/05/2008 12:26

LG & T - we'll be fine. When you get back I'll probably be wearing hemp shoes and talking about growing my own veg.

Should I leave work and go and get her? I've just googled and its all 'blood in the intestines'. Farking hell, so much for anxiety management.

largeginandtonic · 13/05/2008 12:34

Farcking hell girl, she is ok. It is the blackcurrant. Stay at work, all is fine

cameroonmama · 13/05/2008 16:48

Pink? Are you still at work? Blardy hope you didn't dash off home all cos of some black poo Calm, deep breath. I've never heard of black poo and rashes being connected even in tropical climes

Pah LG&T at your enormous round drop off, why can't your ex come to you?? Tell you what, egg up the bad back business..

Talking of eggs, we (i use that term loosely obviously it wasn't me) built the chooks a run where they couldn't be puppied and now egg production has increased enormously Do you find that if you leave the egg in the house for too long does it get destroyed by another hen?

ShowOfHands · 13/05/2008 18:07

Who's Tiffany and why are you all wearing her jewellery?

Nowt wrong with hemp shoes. Will knit some for you.

And PJ, M had blackberry tart on Saturday. Black poo a go go.

And she has heat rash.

Pebblemum · 13/05/2008 22:06

Im only worried about A's nappies because they arent solid, every single smelly one has been a runny one for the past 5 days (and it absolutley stinks)

Have spent the day trying to find a bloody dj for J's party that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. He wants to have the whole lights, laser, bubbles and smoke thing. I fond one that sounded perfect but when he gave me a quote for £185 I nearly dropped the phone. Then a friend volunteered her nephew who would do it for £50 (hes fairly new but really good) but hes already booked for the day we want him for Looks like more ringing around tomorrow

As well as sorting J's party out Ive got to arrange Alana's as well. It is scary to think its been a year already. I know it sounds crazy but i miss the excitement of last year, waiting for labour to begin, yes i know last year I was moaning how fed up and bored of being pregnant I was, but this year seems quite boring in comparison IYKWIM

AprilMeadow · 14/05/2008 03:23

Happy Birthday MrsJB!!!! Hope you have a fabulous day and get spoilt rotten. xxxx

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 14/05/2008 08:09

She is afraid to come back on you know. I believe she made a dash to A&E. I have dished out the 'nutter' comments already. Honestly SOH and i are going to have our work cut out

I think hemp might just work SOH, does it have claming properties?

Yes Cam the chooks will peck at the egg if you leave it too long. No harm though. I bet they are much happier without the puppy bouncing among them all! We get 5 a day sometimes now, clever ladies.

My garden looks like something out of the Good Life, you are going to larf when you see it.

The doc has put me on the mini pill, same time every day HA! Not sure this is the way to go...

largeginandtonic · 14/05/2008 08:10

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRSJB!!!!!!!!!!!
