are you you breastfeeding and he could have swallowed some blood from a bleeding and sore nip? eitehr way, blood in a nappy is not 'normal', should be checked.. is he constipated at all? is he poorly?

Not breastfeeding. It is a small amount more like spotting but still seems odd. Will check it out, thanks Lulumama.

mine had blood in nappy from breastfeeding from cracked nipples. if its that its okay but otherwise shd probably get checked out

He has actually had diarea (cant spell) rather than constipation.

ds had really bad diarrhoea and vomiting recently and nhs direct said only to be concerned if there was blood in the poo. ds is much older, but I would definitely call them, at least to put your mind at rest.

I rushed dd to A&E with pinkish stains in her nappy.

I was told that sometimes if urine is very concentrated it can react with the gel crystals in disposable nappies to cause this staining. If he has had a tummy bug, then he may wekk have concentrated urine.

However at 12 weeks old I would definitely call NHS direct.
