Hi all! I?m with you on the aches and pains thing! Particularly my hands. I have had some problems with my hands since having DS1 but since DD was born I have had pins and needles in my fingers most of the time. I suspect I have a trapped nerve in my neck so will be off to see the chiropractor at some point. Apparently you can?t do that while you are having physiotherapy though so can?t go yet, am starting physio next week for the pain in my pelvis. I am still in a lot of pain if I walk any distance or if I have my legs open for any amount of time (not good for DH! ).
Evie is turning into a little wriggler and no longer stays where I put her! She rolls onto her side and then arches her back and somehow manages to turn herself around and move around the floor a fair bit! She also keeps trying to pull herself forward when she is in her bouncy chair ? strong lady! I also love listening to her, she ?chats? a lot but also likes to make singing noises. at those of you getting giggles! We are still at the big silent laugh stage!
Bedtime for her is usually around 10pm, she will often nap at around 7.30 and then feed between 8.30 and 10 (depending on the frequency of feeds during the day) and then I put her to bed awake and she settles herself with her thumb. Sometimes she doesn?t wake from her nap for her last feed and then I dream feed her and put her to bed asleep. She is still in my room in her cot at the moment and will be until 6 months (or longer if her room is not ready ? the joys of living with a builder!). Sympathies to all those with bad nights , although both my DSs would settle with a dummy they did not use to wake for it in the night, I guess I breed heavy sleepers!
Cazzy, my Evie also sucks her bottom lip over her gums and she is incredibly dribbly! No signs of teeth yet though!
Caz, I definitely worry a lot and about everything like you do! Not a major stress out but like a constant babble in the background IYKWIM? No idea about the sleeping through at night but like Louise?s LO, DD was heavy at birth although she is slowly dropping through the centiles now. I do think though that unfortunately it is down to the individual baby and there is not much we can do about it.
Caz & Louise, I also give DD a little comfort blanket toy to go to sleep with as she likes to hold fabric, she often holds her clothes or tries to get her covers up to her face so I feel it is better. I do take it from her once she is asleep though just in case.
Awen, poor Samuel, hope his ears get better soon.
Ambi, if you try dropping that last feed there is a chance LO will wake up in the night instead but if you don?t mind that then give it a try. I was scared to drop DDs last feed/dream feed in case she woke up a lot but she was fine. If you find she is waking at night you could always go back to the dream feed.
Buzzy, what a smart DD you have! Boast away! Ouch for your mole removals though, hope they are not too sore! Are they being tested? I had one removed from under my arm last year, was very sore but thankfully nothing was wrong with it.
